cunty oooohhh nothing to add but hope it clears up soon. Oh I do - I was advised to massage blocked ducts with my knuckles made into a fist.
While we're admitting stuff - I woke up the other night/morning/sometime with Comma's head right under the duvet. That's right - we have a DUVET on our bed and he's coming into bed with us.
Can we stop using the term "BF Nazi" please. Me not like it. Thank you.
But point well made, ski. I mean, I use a DUVET. I think the point is perhaps that people should have the information to make an informed decision. I think, for instance, that it's important to tell people that duvets can be dangerous for babies, or that they are statistically safer sleeping on their backs, or that BM has stuff in it which statistically keeps them healthier. But also full information about everything - eg (sticking with the milk stuff) the benefits of FF. But then are most people able to make these decisions or do most people prefer to be "just told"?
YOB has been working on something for a charity and their stuff has to be "accessible", meaning that text in their leaflets/websites etc has to be suitable for a reading age of 14. The maternity unit in our nearby town has literature which was also rated the same. How do you put across "public information" to such a wide audience?
aries I'm so glad that your nephew is on the mend. His poor mummy :( I bought a nivce mobile for LC from Blooming Marvellous although recently their site has been crap. Can't help much there, I'm really sorry :(
nappies ski some, and I don't know which, sposies can have problems if you use nappy creams as it blocks the pores apparently and reduces absorbancy. However, as you're not experiencing problems, I would ignore that. Going back to the cloth, there are some critical things to consider. The nappy and wrap should be snug, but not tight (two fingers in waistband as a rule of thumb). Ensure that the nappy and liner is completely tucked into the wrap at the waist and legs otherwise it will wick. And boost as required. Great that you're changing frequently. cassie you're right, some babies have more sensitive skin than others - nappy off time is really critical. ski is also absolutely right about soaps and stuff. I didn't use anything with LC until he was about 6 months old. Even now he mostly only washes with water. You could put a capful of Oilatum in her bath (I think it's available OTC). I use LC's, which he's prescribed for his eczema, in Comma's bath when his skin is a bit dry.
Off to bed. Hope Comma starts to sleep as well as your lovely girlies soon, cheg although I appreciate you've had something of a long-haul getting to this point. :)
