Your weekend sounds lovely Blathers Smile.

Yesterday I had a really relaxed morning then took the dc up to my parents and then abandoned them there Wink.

Went out for a nice meal with dp then met up with friends for a drink, we then had the choice between going clubbing or coming home....we came home to sit on the sofa and eat ice cream whilst fast forwarding watching the X factor. I fell asleep!

Finding it really cold at the moment, hating going to the park as I just seem to stand around getting cold. Feel like I'm going to be counting down until spring soon.

sparklycheerymummy · 24/10/2010 23:42

HI no major routine here but usually something like this
7am milk
8-9 breakfast
12-1pm lunch
3pm drink of water and little snack
5-6pm tea
7-8pm milk after bath or wash

not having much milk now but not underweight....30lbs at last weigh in but height and weight match!

Have a week off for half term next week so looking forward to spending time with ds and dd. Have been back at work for 7 weeks and everything is going really well.....ds has settled so well and childminder takes him all sorts of places....he is not missing out nad is sooooo pleased to see me. Felt bad about going back to work but i neednt have!!!!!

anyone else back at work and quite liking it or am i the only one.....not sure if i should feel bad but i only work 9 till 3pm so its not too bad!

HerGHOULPoirot · 25/10/2010 14:46

Thanks everyone, going to try and do dinner a bit earlier. As we are just reintroducing milk I've got an opportunity to try and get her to eat more and hopefully sleep through at night?!?

Sparkly - I'm also back at work, only three days a week and also now on half term so enjoying that! Imogen is really happy at the childminder and I'm loving being back at work, will probably go up to 4 days next year depending on various things. I sometimes feel guilty that I am enjoying being back at work, but Imogen is so happy and like you say gets taken to all sorts of places so I think it's a good thing overall.

LaDiDevilDiDie · 25/10/2010 16:30

I like being at work too! Love days off with the dc but like the buzz of work, the social side of it and also like the different sort of responsibility iyswim?

Bad day here however. I was taking dc on a trip to nice museum. On the way there I managed to crash into a low wall and completely break bumper so that front passenger fog light was hanging down dragging onto the road! Then after trip to museum was loading the dc back into the car when ds puked (never normally sick) all over himself, the car and his car seat! Was paranoid on the way home that he was being sick still or had choked. He looks a bit pale but seems ok, having a bf now.

HerGHOULPoirot · 25/10/2010 19:47

Oh Ladi, that does sound like a rubbish day - I hope you had fun when in the museum though and that your ds is OK.

Just wanted to share with you that I've lost 11.5 lbs since the beginning of September which I'm really pleased about! Bear in mind though that I needed to lose just over 6 stone so quite a way to go yet, but a good start!

LaDiDevilDiDie · 25/10/2010 20:31

Wow HerGHOUL, that is seriously impressive! Have you been on a particular diet plan or have you been exercising like mad? Well done you [hsmile].

Ds puked again at home, I got his tea all down my vest with bits of carrot stuck in my bra! Still seems ok in himself though.

HerGHOULPoirot · 25/10/2010 20:49

Thanks LaDi Grin. I rejoined weightwatchers online, but haven't actually tracked anything I've eaten yet. I think it's partly just trying to be a bit more sensible in general and trying to be more active eg walking instead of driving where I can. Also being back at work (teaching) means that 3 days a week I can't sit around drinking tea and snacking!!!! When I stop losing weight or plateau then I'm planning on tracking what I eat and doing a bit more exercise but taking it slowly this time around... I would like to lose another 7lbs or so before Christmas and possibly trying for baby no 2! (shhhhhh don't tell anyone!!!)

HerGHOULPoirot · 25/10/2010 20:50

Sorry, got wrapped up in myself! Meant to say that I hope your DS sleeps well tonight and that he feels better soon...

LaDiDevilDiDie · 25/10/2010 21:59

I wondered if any of us would ttc again!

I had had feelings of definitely wanting a third but lately they have started to wane, will see how it goes though, never say never!

TheBrideOfBlatherstein · 25/10/2010 22:16

I've got DH booked in for a vasectomy on the 4th December. It's definitely never for us :)

Hope everyone gets some sleep tonight. Alex has the most awful cough and even though he's had a steamy bath before bed, isdosed up on Calpol, has the head of his bed propped up and Olbas Oil in his room he's still been up twice already coughing and crying. It sounds so sore bless him.

Off to bed myself. Think it's going to be a long night.

It was a long night and Alex got worse. Had a temp of 40 degrees this morning so we went back to the Doctor who diagnosed Acute Tonsillitis Sad

He's so concerned about his temp, I have to take him back later today for another check over too.

He's had Neurofen on top of his Calpol and his first dose of ABs and is now sleeping on the sofa while I hover over him watching like a hawk - he's never had Penicillin before.

Catherine has had a 10 minute nap in her car seat all day so far. Today is going to be no fun at all.

Oh, and I have a sore throat too

HerGHOULPoirot · 26/10/2010 14:05

Oh blathers and Lee - I hope they feel better soon and that Alex responds quickly to the antibiotics for you blathers... and that you feel better soon too.

Blathers, hope that Alex is feeling a bit better. Sounds nasty for him.
Managed to catch last nights Come Dine With Me, which was your friend?

Lee, hope that A is ok.

I started to make my Christmas Cake today by purrting all of the fruit in together to soak with brandy and orange juice. Smells yummy Smile.
Spent the rest of the day in the house, dd did painting and craft, ds was surprisingly good at entertaining himself!

Can't decide what to do tomorrow. Really need to go into town and get dd some boots but it will be heaving...

TheBrideOfBlatherstein · 26/10/2010 20:16

Alex is a little better. I've been giving him Calpol, Nurofen and AB's since we got back from the doctors. They started working at about 3pm and he's seemed almost back to normal since. Took him back to see the doctor at 5.30 and he was amazed at the change.

Hoping the worst of it is over now - at least the vomiting, I hate dealing with sick. Got 10 days worth of Penicillin to give him to make sure this horrible bug is dead. Looks like our half term is going to be a quiet one though. We're going to need a few days at home to let him rest at least.

HerGHOULPoirot · 26/10/2010 20:28

Blathers - so pleased to hear that Alex is better, you must be so relieved. Hope you're throat is getting better too...

TheBrideOfBlatherstein · 26/10/2010 20:37

I've forgone the Calpol in favour of a large glass of Baileys.

It's helping Grin

Well, it took us a while to get him settled last night but once we had, he slept through the whole night until Catherine woke everyone at 5.20.

An early start but a better nights sleep than I had been expecting.

Hope everyone else had a good night too. Very Envy of the iPad Lee!

LaDiDevilDiDie · 27/10/2010 09:54

I am ill today Sad. Dd was off colour over the weekend and complained of tummy pains but it didn't come to anything, then ds was sick twice on Monday and I woke up this morning feeling really nauseous and tmi have had the runs.

Really can't face going any where but I had loads of stuff planned inc. a meal out with friends tonight and tomorrow I was going to visit my friend and her new baby but I can't really go in case they catch it Sad. Feeling very sorry for myself.

I'm also very Envy of the iPad.

HerGHOULPoirot · 27/10/2010 11:01

Oh no, everyone is getting ill - hope you all feel better soon.

Imogen does seem to be much better now - after weeks of nightmare sleeping again she slept last night for her longest stretch yet - from 7pm until 4.30am! Milk then back to bed until 8.45 (well she was up and talking to herself from about 8!). I yet again have hope of the ultimate 12 hour sleep through... although also have no illusions this will be a one off!!!
