New thread title suggestion - 6 months in - will they ever sleep??

rebeccacad · 27/08/2010 22:38

Pixie glad they aren't terribly anxious about her, but sure you must be. Hope you get some sleep.

Evitas hugs to you. Hope you get good news.

I'm off to bed now - so exhausted. I've been crying on and off for 5 hours or so - every time I cheer up I think of something else (like how they had bought a pram already and it'll be sitting in the flat when they get back) so I think sleep is the best cure.

Much love to you all and thanks for your support.

Dalrymps · 27/08/2010 22:41

Hope you sleep ok Rebecca, that poor couple, we are all so so lucky. Night x

Arcadie · 27/08/2010 22:55

Rebecca Oh you've set me off too. How unbelievably crap for them. Hope you can sleep ok. Simeon woke up about an hour ealry for a feed tonight. Normally I'd have tutted and huffed but I just loved having the snuggles with him instead so thank you for the reminder that however hard it is at this point, we're all so blessed to have our LOs.

SmacsGonePotty · 27/08/2010 22:59

sorry ladies missed the live chat as I've been busy on ebay and then my mother called.
pacific hope your Dad makes a speedy and good recovery and evitas fingers crossed for your Mum also. pixie your poor DD2 she seems to have a terrible time with her asthma, it must be such a worry for you.
rebecca whenever I hear of the loss of a baby I always feel sad and cuddle my girls a little closer. You are bound to feel connected with this couple as you were involved. So, so sad Sad

Rindercella · 27/08/2010 23:16

Hello everyone, how lovely to see so many posts. Just sorry I missed the live chat bit - late as usual!

Rebecaa, so sorry to hear about the baby. Must be devastating for the parents and so upsetting for you. I think (and I hope I'm not putting my huge right foot in it here) that having our lovely, chubby, healthy babies makes it even more upsetting when hearing about a loss such as this. All the 'what ifs', etc. And you must have so much emotional investment with these couples. After all, your vocation couldn't really be much more intimate could it? My thoughts are with you tonight x

Pacific sure you won't read this as you'll be in Germany by now. Really hope your Dad is ok and that his bravdo is well placed. Having lost my own lovely father so recently, I know how bloody difficult it is when. Same for you Evitas, hope your Mum is ok - my fingers (and everything else) are crossed that whatever it is is not sinister.

Pixie, hope your DD is ok. Poor girl has had such a tough time recently.

Scooby, a night's sleepover at your twin's sounds like the ideal first night away from you for your DS! And how lovely to have an evening with just you & your DH. That time is so important and it's easily forgotten. Gosh, going back to work - I guess that time is already on those working. I hadn't gone back to work after DD1 was born. I know I need to do something in the future, just not sure what (or when)...(just know what I don't want to do!!).

IWCAS, Miles is just so darn cute! Love the latest FB video of him eating cheese! Enjoy the wedding Smile

I should really be in bed now. Jasmine is brilliant throughout the day but waking several times during the night (she has a great knack of waking about 20 minutes after I have gone to sleep Hmm). I know it's a growth spurt and I know it won't last forever. It's just bloody knackering though. Because she has gone 8/9 hours before, each night I live in hope that it's going to be one of those nights. These last couple of weeks that's been the exception rather than the rule though.

Ladies, I hope you all get lots of lovely sleep tonight x

Am back, hello all! Am slightly surprised we don't have a new thread actually?!! Come ON ladies, what have you been playing at?!
Obviously I haven't read back yet, am about to, but sounds like it's been a rollercoaster couple of weeks. I don't know why but as we were coming home I was thinking of you all and hoping that all news on here was good news - and just flicking over this last page I can see that it's not - rebeccacad I'll read back and find out exactly but big hugs, and similarly to pacific and evitas re your parents.
Right. Need to crack on with those last 7 pages or I'll never catch up! Both me and DH are up sans children so far so we are dashing around doing Important PostHoliday Stuff (him - downloading pics, me, er...Mumsnet Blush) before they wake! Will post my own stuff once I gauge how you all are Smile

Arcadie · 28/08/2010 08:58

OK I'll make a new thread - I'll go for the sleep one not the mental one as I think we'll get a pasting for being frivolous about Mental Health issues.

So here it is...

Don't worry, I've found the new thread, just marking my place to read back a bit.
