Darn and blast it. When I last night, I had every intention of sticking around for a natter but somehow got caught up in other stuff (mostly chatting to DD and then crying with her when she made James do his first proper laugh/giggle. Sheesh, soppy much?).

So, hurrah for Aunty RKD and her brand new shiny niece! Lovely weight, shame DB missed it but as we've all said before it's easy to get caught up in what the brth 'means' when infact it's just the very beginning of an incredible journey - there are plenty more 'times' he can share.

BFPs... Not to be too specific but I got mine on the 29th June last year, at 5.50am . I'd had my coil removed end of March and as we didn't see each other for five days over my fertile eriod in May, technically it was our second month of 'not trying, not preventing'. We deceded to remove the coil but figured we'd see what happened' rather than earnestly ttc and that seemed to look kinda stressful from what I'd seen with other people.

I was charting, because I wanted to be sure I was ovulating (was (ha ha) worried that I was old and also that the mirena and it's evil hormone might have swtched my ovaries off!). I ovulated 14th June...

On the 27th, I went out with my sister and she went to the bar and bought me a bottle of champagne. I took a sip and gagged. 'That's weird' I thought 'that doesn't usually happen...' I couldn't even force half a glass down. I was due my period the next day so I bought a first response early results and a digital clearblue with conception indicator on the sunday, intending to test on the monday morning (I already had a batch of internet cheapy things).

COuld sleep sunday night and eventually got up at 5.45 to do one of the internet cheapies (thinking I wouldn't waste the expensive good tests if nothing showed). They apparently had a cut off of 10. Five minutes later I was squinting over by the bedroom window at what appeared to be a very faint line. So I cracked open the FRER, and dipped that. Instant BFP, not even faint. Was thinking, omg, omg! Went into the kids room, woke them up and said 'I'm gonna take this prenancy test do you want to watch with me and wait for the result?' (obviously they knew we were not preventing and both really wanted a sib). It seemed to take forever before it flashed up 'pregnant 1-2' and they both did a little cheer and jumped around a bit.

Next I wondered how to break it to DP. He was already at work and we weren't living together anyway so I called and asked him to get over to mine as soon as he could. Wracked my brains all day and couldn't think of anything that wasn't too twee or too plain so played it by ear...

He arrived about 5pm. Sat down, picked up my laptop and started browsin autotrader. He was looking at porsches.

Me: Why you looking at those? You can't have one.

Him: Why? I know we can't afford it at the moment but...

Me: Yeah but you can't fit a childseat in it.

Him: What?!

Me: Well, you know we said we'd see what happens? It's happened.

Him: Sh!t!!

But within a second his utter surprise (hence the swearing!) morphed into happiness. He hugged and kissed me and we went out to ASK to get something to eat where we had our first 'wonder if it's a boy or a girl' convo, and I fretted about how it might not stick. Was quite a day, keeping it all in all day (apart from telling the kids who were sworn to secrecy) as I thought I should tell him first.

pixie I absolutlely cracked up at the thought of Ophelia being like Andy! I really liked the advert they did for the world cup

evitas · 02/07/2010 13:48

Bom dia Busy. Sim falo um bocadinho de inglês

Lovely BFP stories

Arcadie congratulations! 2nd of july is not that bad.

I've just got my period exactly one year without it.

xx

sunshinesarahandco · 02/07/2010 14:25

SORRY i missed the date- it was my 4th wedding ann so cooked a rather lovely m & s meal for two!!!!

gotta get ready for the school run now bbl!

rebeccacad · 02/07/2010 17:01

Ok, opinions please. Sofya had a little cold which became a cough when she was oooo 10 weeks ish. After she'd had the cough for 2 weeks I took her to GP. She was absolutely fine, no other symptoms, didn't seem to bother her at all but I would hear her coughing quite a bit when she was going off to sleep at night, when she was asleep in the sling and occasionally when she was awake.

GP said to go back for anti-bs if it hadn't gone in a week. After a week it hadn't totally gone, but seemed better and I really wanted to avoid anti-bs.

So it basically almost totally went, but she got another cold 2/3 weeks ago and it is back. Again doesn't seem to bother her one bit, is mainly when she is going off to sleep. But I do sometimes hear a little squeak in her chest when she's breathing, not a wheeze but a little squeak like there's just a bit of gak in the way of a totally clear breath.

Should I take her to docs and just give in to anti-bs or just not worry as she's so well?

PD if you're around and not too swamped by RL stuff I'd love your advice.

hecklephone · 02/07/2010 18:22

Helloooo. Finally getting a moment to post on MN - hurrah! DH is taking DD1 to her gran's for a sleepover, DD2 is having a late afternoon nap and I am watching the Murray-Nadal match!

Firstly congrats to Auntie Arcadie! Love the name Thea (don't worry Mummyelk I loved it when you chose it too!).

Ok, so working backwards subject-wise:

BFP I don't remember the exact date tbh but I know it was early on a Saturday morning when I tested. I was awaiting AF and suspicious that it hadn't shown up. think I'd told myself that if AF hadn't visited by the morning I'd do the test first thing, and right enough I woke up early cos I was so excited to know! So crept into the bathroom and did the test - BFP. Because DH wasn't up yet, I put the positive test into the cupboard where we keep our cereal so he would find it when he got his breakfast. It was hard keeping a straight face until then! I think I was with DD1 having breakfast when he discovered it and came through to the table looking quite puzzled until I nodded a 'that IS what you think it is' nod! Poor DH was suffering from quite swollen eyes at the time because of a bad eczema reaction but I remember he opened them wide (as he could!!). It was a lovely moment, although I think I'll always remember poor DH's swollen eyes more than anything!

thumb sucking - this is our biggest development of the last few days - DD2 is definitely a thumb sucker! She's managing to get herself off to sleep in the crib and swing without too much fuss, thanks to the thumb, and tonight I'm planning to get her down in the crib fairly early doors and hope the thumb works its magic there too. I can't help thinking this could be storing up problems for the future but a)it helps her sleep which is FANTASTIC and b) it's very cute. Sooo, I'm not worrying about it too much for now.

Oh yes, and she also seems to be getting used to taking a bottle so there's hope for me and DH getting a wee anniversary dinner date on Tuesday!

BLW - I have the book, although haven't read it yet. Am hoping to try it though, but will probably still give a few purees too. You can't beat a bit of mashed pear or avocado and banana IMHO!

DH has had man flu for the past week or so, on top of that has been getting a contact allergy patch test (see above comments re eczema) and was unable to shower since MONDAY. Yuk. So he's been in grumpy form and I've been stressed out trying to do everything. Thankfully we're heading to NI to visit my parents on Sunday so I'm hoping an extra two pairs of hands will mean I get a little bit of a break....maybe?...pleeeaase?

Gosh I can't possibly remember all the stuff that's been happening to you all lately but one or two things that spring to mind:

rebecca so exciting that you're going to be a doula - cool!

PD hang on in there, sorry things are still tough

anna glad you had a good time in Sweden - I'm v after visiting Stockholm last year and loving it!

And oh yes, nicknames! Robin gets called Robin the Bobbin by everyone including DD1, who is often referred to as Ellie Belly (we obviously like rhyming in our house) although she started out as Smelly Ellie flipper feet (she had very big ones!). Although I think that would give her a complex now so we've stopped!

BUGGER Nadal just beat Murray

ValiumtheConqueror · 02/07/2010 18:24

i wouldn't worry- they catch every bug gong, so although it seems like the same one it's often not. If she is well with it, great. If you are concerned, call GP. But I do, of course, defer to the Profeswsional Doctor (see what I did there? I. Am. So. Clever)

OP posts:
ValiumtheConqueror · 02/07/2010 18:32

That was for Rebecca by the way. And should, of course, have said professional (how clever do I look now?

I meant to say that it is great about retraining to be a doula. I'd have had one if I could have talked DH into it!

Hugs also to the professional doctor. Hope it gets easy peasy soon.

Sarah- can't belive your weight loss. If you weren't on this thread I might not like you very much!!

Bugger- DD1 has just emptied out all the duplo and tried to wee in it. Instead she wee-ed all over the carpet and duplo.............

OP posts:
mumofeightplusfour · 02/07/2010 19:18

hecklephone dh also has man flu and is completely helpless hopeless at the moment leaving me stressed out trying to juggle dcs activities . if men gave birth or had cs they'd insist on at least 2 weeks hospitalisation and a maternity nurse when they came. moan over sorry.

valium sorry about duplo and carpet ds4 has just taken 30 eggs into garden put them in the empty hanging basket and tried to hoist them into a tree . transpires we were reading a book last night about how bird babies hatch from eggs so he decided to give the mummy bird back her babies . sweet but "eggstremely" messy result .

off on hols to swansea to introduce agied pils to felicity and possibly have her christened down there if it canbe arranged.

rkd congrats on your new niece

very broody not helped by felicity being a very good sleeper goes down at 10 wakes at 5 but just coos to herself until picked up . probably tempting fate but i've had 7 poor sleepers so probably due a sleeping model .

dh has given up on the idea of the snip heard too many horror stories at work would love another but not sure i could deal wiyh another mc or anxiety of knowing it would be a sticker . last time didnt get a bfp until about 10 weeks as although i was late and felt awful was terrified i'd be tempting fate if i knew to early .vaguely remember waving a test at dh who was not surprised as id be throwing up for weeks

read the blw book sound really interesting and really looking forward to trying it come september.
hv visiting on mon for 4 month check and jabs on tues .

siamesecatwoman · 02/07/2010 19:46

congrats arcadie for the niece. My sister just told me at the weekend that she is pg too - due in late jan. (slight miff that she waited to 10 weeks to tell me as I told her immediatly but hey ho..) So Ive given her all my maternity clothes and some books. That should ensure that I dont get pg again for a while..;)

Someone with older DC's - ear pulling - both ears - teething? She will pull an ear and rub her eyes when tired but today she has been grumpy, not napping properly and pulling both ears. No temperature but gave her some calprofen and it has helped her drift off. She has one tooth (a pointy one) already and I can see a front bottom one announcing its arrival fairly soon - what do you reckon with the ears, given that it is friday (law of sod) and cant get to a dr?

IWCAS (nosey face) had you already broken up with P when you got your BFP? Tell me to sod off if Im being too personal.

Pixie at your babies being like little britain!

manda I think it's lovely your older DC's got involved in your BFP

Remember I mentioned a while ago about a lump on my wrist? Turns out its a ganglion and could have been caused by repetative movements eg feeding DD in same position, picking her up etc etc. Weirdly though, having never heard of it, I was at a coffee afternoon today and when i mentioned the lump, 3 out of 5 of us had one, that had appeared after DC had arrived.

And in other moaney health news, i still feel dizzy. This has been going on since the birth. Do any of you feel dizzy when tired? Could it be that?

Have fab friday nights and hopefully have some wine >

Sariska · 02/07/2010 19:58

Must be manflu season. We have it here too. DH had a day off today but spent it in bed.

That said, I seem to have a sort of womanflu thing - headachey, generally achey and hot - but do I get a day in bed? Do I buggery.

Valium - sorry but the duplo weeing incident made me laugh so much I nearly dropped my baby. Maybe I need to get out more.......

Oh, and I also have a thumbsucker. Mine has fallen asleep a few times sucking her thumb (or a muslin - why did we bother with any of those cute blankie toys, I wonder) but is far from reliable. Certainly won't self-settle at night. I hope Robin does for you tonight, Heckle. Let us know, as I , for one, will be very encouraged by such an achievement.

FlipFantasia · 02/07/2010 20:09

Evening ladies

Back from Ireland and have managed to read all the pages I missed (remembering what I want to respond to will be another thing...)

Nicknames fully agree that nicknames are one of the funniest bits of babyhood - lots of little man, monkey man, rascal, cutester, ritchie titch and the like going on here

Weaning we're heading down the BLW front but am going to wait until DS is ready in terms of motor skills. He has a teether he loves picking up and putting in his mouth but he's still a way off being able to pick up food and put it in his mouth I reckon. He loves watching us eat but he loves watching everything so that doesn't mean much to me! I also want him to be able to support himself properly in terms of sitting (we're also thinking about the trip trap as my DBs in Ireland swear by them). I'm going to get the Rapley book out of the library as I've heard it's not worth the money to buy (can you tell I've hit SMP and am trying to rein in the spending ). TBH watching my NCT friends faff with purees and baby rice with their 4 month olds has reminded me why I think I'd hate the puree route!

love all the BFP stories - such happy memories.

Mastitis and colds and manflu and sleeplessness hope it all gets better soon. DS has his first cold, but the snotty nose is quite mild and only the odd sneeze/cough and he seems happy enough. After a week of much cuddles and snotty kisses from his cousins in Ireland I'm not surprised he picked up a little cold!

Pixie I shall have to try and find your other thread [nosey]. I fully agree with Smac on the annoying posters (scottishmummy wins hands down for me - my lack of caps is in honour of her pseudo-cryptic and very annoying posts )

PD have a great month of holidays! I hope Joe will have really turned a corner by the time you get back.

Arcadie congratulations on Thea's birth!! Such happy news, though it must have been stressful for DB and DSIL to have such a long induction and then to have him miss the birth. Still, the birth is only the first step in a long and happy journey

Valium love your DDs in the bath - super cute! DS kicks his legs so much that he can travel from one end of the bath to the other in his little chair support. I've also got a mover here - I'm liking watching him edge across the floor and spin himself around a lot!!

Evitas I love the name Joao (can't do the thingy over the a) - I have a good friend from Portugal call Joao and your post reminded me of him teaching me to say his name for the first time .

Siamese owls in the valley - I do think your home on the hill sounds just lovely

Rebecca super exciting about doula! Let's try and meet soon (BusyMissIzzy you too - fancy a trip to the lovely cinema in Islington or summat?). I shall FB you both (have been rubbish at being on FB!).

Gah, cannot remember anything else I wanted to say...and fast running out of internet time!

Had an amazing time in Ireland. I found it very relaxing to have a break from London. My mum minds some of my nieces and nephews so at times there were 5 kids aged 1-7 plus me and DS so quite a full house (knackering but good fun - not sure how my 74 year old mother copes!). Everyone was loving DS - with his smiles and rolling and moving around and general good cheer in the face of toddler violence cuddles from his cousins . And seeing the next babies up from him (11 months and 14 months) really reminded me that this babyhood is a short short time in childhood (getting nostalgic...and am at Arcadie getting to cuddle a newborn!).

But managed to catch my big toe on the maclaren today (yes, after a week of using my DSIL's maclaren for DS in Ireland I'm in the process of retiring the mountain tank buggy) - the nail broke about half way down the toe and has split right across. Lots of blood but the nail stayed on so have banadged it up and hope the nail stays put as long as possible (typical - first hot summer in years and I'll have an exposed nail bed - pah!). Painful but managed to hold it together until I got home before crying - poor DS didn't know what hit him. In the door and mummy starts crying and hopping about having managed the walk home from crouch end through gritted teeth!

This rambling post is taking far too long. Must head off and do more laundry/unpacking/sleeping.

Night night ladies

annamama · 02/07/2010 21:37

Loving the BFP stories too!

With DD1 I did a test but it showed negative so I threw it in the bin angry. Then a bit later DH fished it out of the bin just to be sure, and there was a faint line. We googled "pregnancy test faint line" and got lots of answers saying a line is a line so very happy.

With DD2 there was such a faint line that I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or not, so we waited patiently a few more days and got a big fat line.

DH has always been with me all the way, we always did the tests together so no surprises here. Aww it was fun finding out... although now I also remember feeling sick which was not so fun! Both times I knew I was pg, just felt different and more moody I suppose.

No more chips here for baby Isabelle (bad mummy!) but she's had a few spoonfuls of baby rice, apple puree and carrot puree. She's loving it. Still BF'ing like a monster too though. TTSP...

BusyMissIzzy · 02/07/2010 22:27

Flip I was just wondering about you, forgot you were going away. Sounds like you had a great time Ouch at the toe though! I'd really like a trip to the cinema actually; there's a great little independent cinema in East Finchley that used to do parent & baby screenings, but they're closed for a big refurb atm. FB me and we'll arrange something.

Pixie do you think Ophelia's first words might be "I want that one"?

With all the talk of weaning, I have Isobel a suck on an apple core that I was finished with the other day (I know, I spoil that girl ); she didn't seem too bothered, maybe slightly interested in the new flavour.

We're planning to take Isobel swimming for the first time tomorrow (tried to go a few weeks back but the timing didn't work out, then we had 2 weekends of visitors).

Lovely BFP stories everyone

rebeccacad · 02/07/2010 22:52

Just quickly... Flip have the BLW book - am reading at the mo, but you're welcome to borrow afterwards...

valium exactly what my instincts say - thanks. Oh and I'm sure PD is a Profeshwionsowlnonwlwishonal Doctor.

Hi all,sat in hairdressers having a relax! Two men at home looking after each other! Our bfp was a year ago yesterday after nearly a year trying. I Just had a feeling and tested on due day when we both got in from manic late shifts at work at midnight. Despite trying it still made dh speechless when i wandered downstairs from the bathroom and asked him to look at the stick 4 his opinion on a very clear line! Got a suprise party for my dads 65th tonight. Not sure how he will take it! Hope youre all well. I have been reading but little time to post sadly

Flisspaps · 03/07/2010 22:50

Two days away and lots of catching up to do!
sarah well done on the slimming

Valium eek at the mobile baby! The video is lovely, DD tries to do sit-ups too. NOT a habit she?s learned from me! Can?t help laughing at the carpet/duplo mishap.

Smac Hope the boobs have settled now?

Pacific Have a lovely time on holiday and in Germany. Hopefully the Losec will help with Joe. Hooray for long naps!

Pixie at thinking DH is 14?he?s not but he can act like one sometimes . Still hating tummy time here, still ending up lying in a pool of dribble (DD not me!) Not sure what?s been said on other threads but balls to anyone who says anything bad about you. There are some pretty acerbic characters around them there other topics. How utterly gorgeous that your DDs suck each other?s thumbs!

MummyElk Online-date-that?s-not-really-a-date sounds good! Bugger, on further reading, it appears I stood you all up

BMI Also reporting a sudden improvement in daytime naps. Mum bought DD a bunny ?soother? thing (you know, like a teddy that?s had all the stuffing taken out of it?s belly, it?s the best way I can describe it!) and she?s been sleeping with it at night for a couple of weeks, now I give it DD in the day when she starts getting tired and she pulls it over her head and goes to sleep. We?ve been and bought a spare.

My BFP date was 22 June ? very early on, only tested because I thought it was odd that I was still hungover on the Monday from the Saturday. I thought sods law would kick in once we?d bought the test. Apparently, not so! Did the test, put it on the mantelpiece and then looked again after 3 mins. DH was on the computer, and I looked at him and said something along the lines of ?shit, it?s positive!? (we?d only tried once, we?d heard so many stories about it usually taking months and months, thought I?d have more time to get my head round trying?) DH was grinning like a Cheshire cat. Once the shock wore off I was made up.

Arcadie Congratulations on becoming an auntie

Manda/BMI DD is also a thumb sucker, she?s moved on from two fingers to her thumb, it?s so sweet to see her do it.

hecklephone/mumofeight/sariska Sorry for DHs having man-flu, I hope he recovers soon.

Flip Glad you had such a lovely time in Ireland. OUCH though, your poor toe!

Anyway, today is first day of DH?s camping trip, have settled in with a nice G&T with Russell Brand on the telly, DD started screaming at 5pm and promptly conked out at 7pm, not heard a peep from her since. Nothing worked to calm her down, not even the last resort of calpol in case her gums were sore. That?s enough from me for today anyway, she?ll be awake shortly for a feed?night all

sunshinesarahandco · 04/07/2010 08:05

morning all xxxx hope everyone is well x

evitas · 04/07/2010 11:30

Good morning

terrible day up here: very windy and rainy (very Scottish I suppose)

DS still doesn't sleep through the night.

Upps, he's awake. catch up later

xx

donttrythisathome · 04/07/2010 11:46

Waves to everyone! Oh god so much to catch up on!

Back from ireland too - had a fab time at the baby/wedding party. But DD was a bit unsettled for the week and wouldn't go down until around ten at night and then woke up during the night so was wrecked!! Wish she's been a little star like Flips little darling. She was great on the 2,000 mile round trip though (drove there!!).

Have the BLW book too from the library. Loving it [lazy mommy emoticon].

Had my first night out on the p*ss last night!! Was really drunk. Even made a drunken phonecall at half past midnight to DH and woke up the baby. Oh god she was still awake when i got home. DH not impressed but has gone off with her today to let me recover hooray!

And saw Superhans from Peepshow in the pub - nearly went up to him but stopped myself phew. Anyone like that show - love it.

Re BFP - I had though the implantation pains were period pains and was very fed up. But someone on MN said to do a test and I did and got a faint line. i remember emerging from the bathroom in a fetching pair of big pink knickers clutching the test and saying I think I'm pregnant to DH. His face was a picture but he refused to believe it I did another 5 or 6 tests ha ha!!

Will try to catch up but apologies in advance to anyone I haven't answered or if i missed out on something big.

donttrythisathome · 04/07/2010 11:49

Even vomited last night

And had a few puffs of 2 fags (off them 5 and a half years) Thankfully thought they were disgusting.

FlipFantasia · 04/07/2010 18:20

Quick visit from me (dinner is cooking and one-handed typing as feeding ds) but donttry while i'm glad you had fun i'm sorry you're suffering now . You've just reminded me that on my last big night out before getting pregnant I did drunkenly accost Super Hans in a pub . In fact, his lovely (and very pregnant) wife even gave me perfume...glad the party was fun (we're planning to drive back in august so hope ds is as good as your dd in the car).

Hopefully back later...

sunshinesarahandco · 04/07/2010 21:32

elliott is trying to roll and also to pull himself up if you hold his hands= i cannot believe how fast he is growing= I WANT MY BABY BOY BACK

MummyElk · 05/07/2010 08:32

Morning all
Apologies in advance for a) suggesting a MN date and then promptly buggering off for a few days b) lurking last night but saving a post till today and c) for now only really posting so that I.Can.VENT
is that ok? sorry.
So one of the reasons i didn't make it on here over the weekend was we had a wedding on sat (v nice) and the yesterday DH was supposed to be working, just for a few hours. He gets a semi SOS from his family to see if he could join them to watch cricket - he promptly ditches work and goes to do this. I'm sort of supportive because he doesn't get to see his brother very much. Anyway, I put kiddies to bed on my own. I also catch DD1 biting DD2 pretty badly TWICE which is upsetting and difficult to manage.
Just as we are turning the lights out last night, I ask DH when he's back today. He says, er, i'm not. Turns out the black tie do he has to go to tonight for work means he's staying over. At NO POINT has he mentioned an overnighter. I know he hasn't, because I would have flipping remembered!! So night two of putting kids to bed on my own. plus repercussions tomorrow with me doing all the things he does plus everything else.

Oh this is so boring for you. Am sorry. I won't go on. I just feel like i'm completely failing both DDs - why is DD1 biting?!! and how can i protect DD2 all the time?! I literally can't take my eyes off them both at the moment. and how dare DH bugger off for a whole night without even thinking it might be difficult for me?

sorry sorry this is badly written and it's not worth me finishing it all, it's just too boring for you all. just suffice to say i'm pissed off.

donttry love your stories of drunken debauchery, am so glad i'm not the only one who still finds her inner binge drinker occasionally!! cigarette puffing made me laugh

Dalrymps · 05/07/2010 08:48

Hey everyone, sorry I've been absent for so long. I have been reading but had no time to post what with a week in Cornwall/Peterborough then a BBQ in Lancashire a week later.

Am typing this on my iPhone so might not be a very long post!

Rkd congrats on becoming an Aunty, lovely name!
Siamese I had a ganglion when I was at college, had it fir ages and when I saw the doc he told me to hit it with a big book I did try this a few times as I got sick of it but it didn't work so I just started weRing bracelets to cover it up. Anyway... It just disappeared on day and hasn't been back since!
nicknames we call Miles Mr Moog mostly here [ smile] it just seems to suit him. Dylan gets allsorts, rascal bag, cheeky monkey, gorgeous etc etc
weaning am kind of dreading weaning , was very difficult to wean Dylan, he had weight gain issues and ate very small amounts and was very sensitive to textures. The hv's just told me to keep trying to get him on 3 meals a day etc etc. In retrospect I think we started too early (5 and a half months) he was still wobbly with his sitting and was only sitting steadily at 10 months! It has been a long process and I wish we'd just chilled out about it a bit more at the time. With Miles I'm gonna try be led by his motor skills and interest levels rather thN sticking to 6 months on the dot, I'll try and judge when he's ready not when the calendar says so.

He's a very stroganoff baby though, different to Dylan , has been holding his head up since he came out and prefers to be upright rather than sat down. He's rolled from front to back but not the other way yet. In the last few days he's got better at holding toys and chewing on them but he can't sit on his own yet although really seems to like sitting in the bumbo. Nights have been a bit random lately, the other night he woke 3 times to feed/ fart but on sat night he slept from 10.30 till 4 then 4.30 till 8 then back asleep till 10am! Total bliss as Dylan slept till 10 too so we all got a nice sleep.
Pd special shout out to you, hope things are improving for you, thinking of you x
bfp we had been trying for 7 months and were starting to get a bit impatient and losing hope... A few days before my period was due dh commented that my breasts looked a title larger, that was all the encouragement I needed so I did a secret cheapy test whilst he was at work. It was negative in the 5 minute window but after I'd been downstairs for 15 mmins I couldn't get the idea out of my head that I was pregnant, I just felt a bit different. I went and fished it out of the bin and to my surprise there was a very very faint line! I told him when he got home and he was sceptical and a little in denial I think as the reality of having 2 children had hit him (and me too!) I did several more cheap tests over the next few days and they got pregressively darker until he was finally convinced. I have to say we weren't S ecstatic as I thought we would be when we found out, we were very pleased but new what hard work a baby can be so it took us a little while to come round to the idea iyswim. We did however get more and more excited as the pregnancy went along till we really couldn't wait to meet Miles
It was our 7 year anniversary yesterday (not wedding, of when we got together) we celebrated with a takeaway curry, a small glass of champagne and a naughty unprotected deed doing... We're both still brooch and we decided to risk it as I'm breastfeeding so not much chance of me getting pregnant but if I do we'll be happy
Well, I've got finger cramp now so will be back sooner rather than later and will keep up with my reading what you're all up to x
