Oh dear, S is SUCH a PFB the way I snap pics of him!

princessmel · 17/06/2010 18:42

Hello everyone!!! I am going to have to name change...long story.....

my news!!!!!
Ht got it first guess! It was a baby modelling job
I sent his picture to a company who were casting for baby's in the 6-12m age group. I saw this on their FB page.
Anyway I sent off his picture and on tuesday they emailed to say he'd been shortlisted YAY!!!
Then on wednesday when we hadn't heard anything I thought 'oh well, he hasn't been chosen' but he then last night at dinner time, they rung to say they wanted to use him!
Post more in a sec, need to namechange...asap.

Cool Princessmel You will let us know where to look when it happens.

HappyTangerine · 17/06/2010 20:47

Congrats princessmel

Scout Am buying forward facing seat at weekend, am hoping I'll be able to start driving again then, he's already much better in the car.

HC How old is your DD? Hope AF shows up soon.

Stil no tooth but a better day, J's diaorrhea easing. DH woke up at 6am and sent me off to bed. He brought J in for a milk feed but other than that I slept until 11am and he went in late. This afternoon we went round to MILs and met her as she was picking the girls (my nieces) up from school. They were so proud pushing the buggy home, v sweet to watch. He showed off his crawling skills for them then got a bit grumpy tired so we came back. Fast asleep by 6.45, v welcome after the past few days.

princessProudmel · 17/06/2010 22:19

Thanks
It was lovely , he looked so adorable in the outfits!
My dad came with me as I was nervous about driving into London. Was a bit tricky finding the studio, then we had to park etc...( 20p for every 5mins...!)but it was ok as we'd left enough time.

He wore 2 outfits. One had green trousers with a stripy top and then a khaki military style coat! He had to lie on a background sheet of leaves. (picture of leaves, not real leaves)
The other one was a grey top and grey and red stripy bottoms, on a 'mountain' background. Very cute clothes .
I fed him inbetween and he played with the other few babies. We were there for 2 hours in total.
My face hurt by the end because I was smiling so much!
This is the company.www.noaddedsugar.com/
They sell the clothes online and in Selfridges and other big department stores.
Was very funny as they had to put foundation on him! To reduce a tiny red mark/spot and then cos he bashed his head with a toy screwdriver and the mark needed covering up!!! They also put moisteriser and baby oil gel on him to make him 'dewy' and some in his hair!!

I am a very proud mummy

If you click on that link there is a section where you can ask to be sent a catalogue. It's the Autumn/winter 10 one. out in september.

Igglybuff · 18/06/2010 10:06

PProudM I'll get a catalogue then! How sweet. and lol at the makeup

scout we've had William in a big boy seat, here, for a few months now - it's rear and forward facing. He's still rear facing and can be until he hits 13kg and it is supposed to last up to 18kg (or 4 years, but I very much doubt William will still be in it at 4!). This seat can be used from newborn which is great for the next one! But can't click onto a pushchair - although I don't drive anyway so not fussed.

I've managed to burn some lentils so better go

{weary emoticon} gah I'm knackered!
Annalise now at the childminders 3 days a week (although I'm having 2nd thoughts - no cot, infrequent stairgate to stairs up and down to the basement) and I'm back at work. Finding it really tough cycling in, and was so saddle sore yesterday I ran in, but properly pooped today. Emotionally I feel horrible leaving little A with tears in her lovely eyes and a smile that says please don't go. Ack!

Congrats PM! Little F is a mini-celebrity!!

HT sorry to hear you're so tired from the no-toothing, hope you can relax more now that the degree is on hold x

Big hug to rest of you, have skimmed news - where's twinklegreen?

Oh and hello again HMHB

Did we ever decide on a meetup? You're babies will completely tower over micro Annalise!!

Igglybuff · 18/06/2010 17:28

calypso about leaving A and the childminder. Can you insist on a cot or take a travel cot over?

No we didn't sort a meetup!! Let's try again.

I can do any weekend except 10/11 July.

OP posts:
princessProudmel · 18/06/2010 19:00

CF That post brough tears to my eyes ((hugs))

I'd deffo bring up the cot issue with your CM (I read your other thread), doesn't sound right to me atall. For loads of reasons. Safety being one of them. Also I would just not be happy with F sleeping on somebody elses bed linen (slightly odd about material/linen emoticon)

And omg you must be soooo tired cycling/running to work!! Then doing a whole day's work, then looking after A all night. You're either mad or super woman!

iggly yay! I do hope he's actually in it after all this!!! I did ask to make sure though and the boss said definatly.

meet up July/Aug are so busy for us with about a million family birthdays and our wedding anniversary. But I'll do my best .

HumphreysCorner · 18/06/2010 19:11

princess-that is so brilliant.

Calypso-do you think it may be too much. I really feel for you, you must be so tired.

News-Matthew can go from on his tummy to sitting up. He does get one leg stuck out so ends up crying until I straighten it. Trouble is I haven't seen him do it, he is just sat up when I find him.

AF arrived today just as I'd ordered some PG tests off Ebay.

Love to all!

HC

BellaCullen · 18/06/2010 19:48

Calypso am horrified at your CM letting her sleep on her own bed and having no baby monitor. Its against health and safety not to use a bedlinen just for Annalise, its all about cross contamination.Am sure its against their rules to let baby sleep unsupervised on a big bed and she is required to have a monitor to hear her. She can buy a travel cot cheaply from Asda so dont see why she doesn`t already have one.You definitely need to speak her about it.Big hugs to you and hope you get it sorted soon.

PProudm what exciting news, will be ordering a catalogue.

HC yay about sitting up by himself. How typical for AF to arrive after you just ordered some pg tests.

No AF here yet and hope it wont come till I stop BF which wont be for a while yet.

{whispers} Nathaniel has managed to go asleep in his cot with me stroking him a bit and then just waking at 3 am for BM.
Yay,am hoping this will be it from now but don`t want to jinx it.

HT glad his diahorrea is easing Ns too but hes got his 4th tooth through.Hope J`s will come soon.

DP watching football so i ordered a monster nappy as babybots doing 10% off during the england game. Were off to BBQ at friends tomorrow just hoping the weather will be nice. Meet-up quite busy too cant do first two weekends in July but should be ok for other ones.
Have a good weekend all xx

princessProudmel · 19/06/2010 17:58

I know hc!!! Yay!

Walked down to my friends house last night and had quite a bit of wine whilst we chatted. A lot. I was pretty tipsy by the time I left at midnight!

It's very quiet here......

Igglybuff · 19/06/2010 19:07

Hello everyone!

William is waking loads again at night. I've consulted the oracle (my wonder weeks book) and he's having a "stormy" period. Apparently a big sleep regression between weeks 37 and 42 as loads is going on in his brain. Which is obvious now I think about it as he "sings" when trying to get to sleep and really struggles to relax. He also starts babbling (mamamama/dadadada/babababa) when he wakes at 2/3/4am

He's really getting the hang of crawling now and has managed to climb a couple of stairs under supervision of course However he stops to sit down but falls back so hasn't quite figured them out yet.

Bella great news about sleeping! I hope you managed to get some too - I rarely do when William does a long stretch as my body is not used to it.

HC lol at M's sitting up. I wonder what else he gets up to when not looking...! It's amazing how quickly they develop (scary too).

HT how's the sleeping?

princess can you get copies of the photos even if he doesn't make it into the catalogue? Could be nice to have some framed

We had friends over who are expecting their first. It's made me broody despite W's poor sleep. I want another one!

to everyone else.

Just marking my place, Joe's diaorrhea returned with a vengeance Thursday night so we were at the doctors yesterday. He's got a tummy bug exacerbated by v obvious teething. Bug is apparently doing the rounds of all the mother & baby/toddler groups and nurseries and a few little ones are very ill with it. Luckily Joe seems to be over the worst, the bf seems to have helped. We have cancelled plans to attend christening tomorrow.

Back later with personals.

Scout19075 · 19/06/2010 21:49

At my in-laws for the weekend, for Father's Day. S went for his afternoon nap and I went into town with DH while he had his eye appointment (I went in case he needed me to drive home). Went into one of the shops and caught myself absentmindly grabbing for the (non-existant) stroller. D'oh! Has anyone else done that?

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 19/06/2010 22:23

Just popping in to say that DD took 5 oz milk from a bottle today and yesterday! She also slept til 5am the other night (I was in shock and couldn't sleep obv ).

Congrats Princess! - well done your DS

Calypso - Hope you aren't too knackered. Sounds exhausting. I'd be thinking about other childminders I think. She sounds a bit wierd. I've been doing keeping in touch days once a week and do miss DD .

Scout19075 - on the rare occasions I have gone anywhere without DD I always have that feeling I have forgotten something.

Scout19075 · 20/06/2010 21:25

Happy Father's Day to all of the daddies and babies!

Igglybuff · 20/06/2010 21:55

Same to you scout!

We didn't do much - just went out for coffee and cake. Yum!

William has all of a sudden got really heavy - I think he had a bit of a growth spurt hence the night wakings. Will have to get him weighed to see.

Scout19075 · 21/06/2010 22:27

We were at the in-laws for the weekend. Sunday we (DH, DS & I) went to lunch with my PiL and one of my SiL. A second SiL and her DH and DC (5 of them!) came for a BBQ that evening. Kept S up later than he wanted to, so the cousins could see/play with him but it did make him a bit grumbly going to bed -- overtired and overstimulated. I felt bad but knew the cousins would whine if they didn't get to see him (he's their only little cousin) and since I don't do it to Seb often tried not to feel like bad mommy for keeping him up.

Finally got the craft website to work and ordered the supplies for Rainbows. Want to order some cupcake supplies from another cool website I found. Internet shopping is so easy/fun it can be dangerous!

How are all of the babies and mommies?

fidelma · 21/06/2010 22:29

All well here.End of term maddness but we are almost there.

Lovely weather

Connor trying to move, he may be a bum shuffler(sp?)

ds1 had his visit to school today he is very loved (by me) I will realy miss him but I will learn to love it

dd1 is moving up to the middle school and has a male teacher next term.He is ment to be fantastic so she is very excited. (she is still on the same campus just a new building)

I feel I have to mention dd2.Her best friend out of school is joining and is in her class so happy little Fidelmas all round.

Very sad news, this morning a 14 year old girl was abducted and sexualy asaulted then released from our very sleepy, peaceful villagePeople don't even lock their doors around here.

Scout19075 · 22/06/2010 13:50

I'm just wondering, what is it about becoming a mother that has made my Judgy McJudge Pants come out very regularly? I HATE that I've become so, even though I try very hard not to be. I don't judge the big one bottle feeding vs breast feeding because everyone has their own story/reason for the choice they made, but "little" things. Things like today, a mother pushing a tot in a stroller who clearly wasn't being protected from the sun, and behind her, a good several yards, was her daughter (maybe about 6) in a sundress walking along the High Street in bare feet. BARE FEET! On the High Street! In the mid-day sun! I'm thinking of the burns and goodness knows what she'll step on!

(Rant over.)

HumphreysCorner · 22/06/2010 14:01

Oh fidelma-that is so, so bad. Poor, poor girl. Please let them catch the bastard! I always keep my doors locked as I trust nobody.

Had a letter from school on Friday inviting DD2 for a afternoon induction on the 1st July and a welcome meeting for us. I have to confess I burst into tears as I am just not ready for her to start school. Am going to be a wreck and as for starting in September.......

DH rang earlier to say me and him have been invited to a Business gathering in Cologne in September. There is no way I can a) leave DD2 2 days after she starts school and b) Matthew as he won't even be one. I know it is only a weekend but I don't want to go. It would be a different story if he was older. Left DD1 to go to the racing in Imola when she was 14 months and regretted it after so vowed not to do it again.

As AF is here so is my rotten migraine. Boo hiss! Have been planting some vegetable seeds with DD2 this morning in the lovely sunshine but she soon lost interest and came inside. Going to help DD1 do her side when she comes home from school.

Matthew is sitting really well and is becoming a CBeebies addict.

Did want to bake some cakes today but it is too hot, anyone got any spare?

Big wave to all!

HC

Scout19075 · 23/06/2010 10:08

(Wonders where everyone's been hiding and thinking we're all outside enjoying the sunshine with our babies.)

Hopes everyone is okay!

princessProudmel · 23/06/2010 13:59

Hi everyone!
I'm here!!
Sorry I've been really bad this week and hardly posted.

F has been accepted to a model agency. one of The best ones in the industry . I am very excited and a little shocked and scared!
I have a stair phobia and I am scared about all the London travelling in tbe stations with those high escalators. Apparantly St pancras have a lift...hoepfully others do too. Maybe an Ergo would be a good idea after all. But then I'll have nowhere to put stuff and I'll arrive all hot from carrying him and all the baby bits!!!

Will read through and catch up.
But did spot this.
fidelma terrible news So scary. There was a story about a paedophile in our area a few months ago. His kids went to the local pre school and everyone knew his face. Some kids had gone to their house for tea/playdates etc...so awful to think about.
