Hellloooo :)

HT Wow at Joe! He sounds much older than F! F is managing to walk across the room now but falls alot. Crawls 99% of the time. He has managed to pull himself to standing not holding onto anything too a few times :)
He pulls out all the dvds but hasn't worked out he can build escape routes with them. He loves being pushed around the house on his bike :) And sitting in his car and playing shape sorters. He also loves the noisy toys that light up and sing Christmas songs :)
He recognises his little friend now and gets excited when we see him which is cute.

fidelma wow to you too with all that snow!!! we had a dusting here.

iggly :) Glad you're starting to feel slowly back on track.
F has had a bad run of it too recently. He had a sore throat a while back, then a bad ear and now conjunctivitis :( :( He also always has a runny nose and sounds crackly and wheezy. Doc said that his chest is clear though . He has got his paed appt for his intolerances in a few weeks. Doc said the runny nose could be connected.

dd had an eye check today. She is boderline for needing glasses. Going back in a month.

Waves to Littlepea (how far along are you now?), scout, bella, CF, and everyone else :)

littlepea72 · 09/12/2010 10:28

Hi PM Grin

Faith isnt anywhere near Joe either, she also goes for a drunkin run/walk then falls over lol....she is very lazy, wont even drink out of a cup yet, only a bottle. The HV has given up on her Blush but she will do it when she is ready.

Poor Freddie, I hope they will be able to give you some answers when he is seen.

I am now 17 weeks, but still doesnt feel real, apart from the sickness & big belly!!

Hope you are all keeping warm Smile

littlepea72 · 09/12/2010 19:18

She has just drank from her cup!!! Grin

fidelma · 09/12/2010 19:47

Whispers (boden sale) sorry

fidelma · 09/12/2010 21:49

damm that sale. And at this time of year (sigh)

CalypsoFramboise · 10/12/2010 08:29

Hello everyone!

Thought I'd have a million posts to wade through since I was last on here, but its been so quiet!

Iggly I hope work isn't too awful, and you are healing well x

HT goodness me at Joe! Annalise stood alone for the first time yesterday and that feels like a triumph, just not bothered about it all, I can't believe how inventive he is! Sounds like it would be hard when the groups are shut, a monkey like that needs to get out - hope things are open now.

PMM Poor Freddie and his illnesses; Annalise is also ill so often (and is yet again off from nursery today), I get really anxious when A cries so much and seems to be unhappy and/or in pain and I don't know what to give her. Well, she's very good at signing that she wants more calpol :( Hope he gets better soon.

littlepea 17weeks already! wow, are you going to find out the gender at the 20w scan? :)

fidelma I didn't hear you say Boden Sale :o

HC how are things your way?

scout heellooooo....??!

Have my work christmas do tonight, a right posh affair at the National Liberal Club. Looking forward to that, then I'm flying out to Nairobi on Sunday for a week at a conference, yay! Have booked a trip on Monday to have a whistle-stop tour of a baby elephant sanctuary, the giraffe centre and the animal orphanage at the Nairobi national park :) And yes I'm super excited about that too! Because I come straight back (for Annalise) I won't be joining my friends who are taking a trip post-conference to the Rift Valley then Mount Kilimanjaro, but nevermind, another time...

Oh I don't think I posted since I nearly died doing Hellrunner, was sooooo cold (2 weekends ago) -2C plus wind-chill and I went running half-marathon distance over an army assault course in Hampshire, including wading through 3 bogs of mud that were partially frozen:
www.21cphotos.com/i_search.php - search for runner 4798, I'm in red looking not at my best! You can't see from the photos there, but those bogs had a skim of ice on them, brrr!

Anyway, not sure I'll be able to post again before Xmas, as when I get back from Nairobi we're going to trek it (9hrs door to door!) from ours to parents-in-law, so HAVE A SUPER SMASHING CHRIMBO! Lots of love to all X

CalypsoFramboise · 10/12/2010 08:30

doh! www.21cphotos.com/i_search.php

CalypsoFramboise · 10/12/2010 08:36

Further to previous posts (and I really don't want to build this up now!) if you are interested in seeing me wading through freezing mud, the link doesn't work properly for several reasons so
www.randrphotos.co.uk/event-photos.php
(not in Firefox, works in IE)
See PUMA Hellrunner on SATURDAY then type in runner number 4798.
:)

Igglystuffedfullofturkey · 11/12/2010 08:57

Marking spot (keep losing the thread) - grumpy baby so will post later!

HappyTangerine · 11/12/2010 21:32

I don't really have any frame of reference to go by with Joseph as he's my first (poss only unless we can get him to sleep through the night again soon Sad as dh reckons he can't go through the sleep deprivation again.) I just let him do his thing and try to make sure he doesn't hurt himself. He discovered the joy of chasing spiders today, poor thing tries to escape into the bathroom and Joe was after it with a big silly grin on his face. I felt so sorry for the spider!

We have a family funeral on Wednesday and have specifically requested we bring Josephhi so am a bit nervous about keeping him quiet. I'll be sitting at the back so can exit quickly if Joe stts getting fidgety,dh at front with his family. Am taking lift the flap books.Wish me luck, am hoping he'll sleep!

fidelma I had a look at your photos-your dcs are beautiful. I loved the one of you and Connor and the underwater shots. And wow, what a wedding venue! Boden sale is A Very Bad Thing. Bought Joe a cute coat Xmas Smile. Glad thr snow is clearing

PPM I really feel for you and Freddie, hopefully you'll get some answers at his appointment. He sounds like he's having great fun with the toys! Did you ever get a copy of the overseas Tesco ad he was in? (Hungary?) If you haven't, I could ask a friend of my sisters.

Damn, Joe just woke, back soon

littlepea72 · 12/12/2010 09:38

HT im in fits of giggles now, the poor spider! LOL

DS stayed with my MIL last night, and Faith stayed with my mum & dad. I went to bed last night at 7.30pm & got up this morning at 8.45am Shock
Poor mum was up from 5.30am after getting up arround 8 times with faith. Her big back teeth are coming down in a oner, and she is in so much pain. I really needed a night to sleep, but feel bad mum was up so much. But my back is killing me for sleeping so long!

Calypo you are soooooo lucky!!! I would love to do something like that. Have a great time, and a happy christmas to you & your family! I have my scan the 5th Jan, the hospital fitted me in at a different hosp, so that my DH would be home to see it. We will try to find out the sex. I will be having a scan every 4 wks anyway as I am high risk, so I hope if the hosp doesnt tell you the sex, then I will have a chance at some stage to see.

Iggly how is William?? How are you??? xx

Hi to everyone else....HC hope you are warmer! xx

Igglystuffedfullofturkey · 12/12/2010 09:55

Hi littlepea am Envy at your sleep! Poor Faith though :( W seems to be teething - only drugs make him happy or distraction. I've had a look as the gums are flatter but not actually poking through yet. He also had a really horrible bug a week ago - he had no energy, was wheezy, off his food, diarrhoea. He's better after antibiotics and an inhaler but another cold is on it's way!

I'm feeling good, still dosing up on iron. First week back at work last week and it was ok. Took plenty of rest in the first aid room. But I'm getting a cold and I've got conjunctivitis Hmm roll on Xmas.

HT I love the idea of J chasing spiders. He sounds so cheeky and full of beans! I hope you can get out in this weather. We bought W a splash suit and took him out to play in the snow. Which he tried to eat Hmm

calypso
I'm in awe. How do you hve the energy?! Also I'm Blush as I never replies to your email to meet - things got on top o me. Let's try and sort something for the new year once your travels are all done?

PM F sounds like W. The inhaler really helped his chest. With his blocked nose, I've been apron his room daily, wet dusting and vacuuming twice a week. It makes the air clearer and he sleeps better at night. I'd read it could be dustmites making things worse...

fidelma did you buy anything in the sale Xmas Grin

Igglystuffedfullofturkey · 12/12/2010 09:58

apron???!! I meant airing! Bloody phone!

Scout19075 · 12/12/2010 21:19

I've been bad at posting. Really struggling in a lot of ways at the moment and have found myself retreating as my coping mechanism. Medicine playing havoc with my body and I've lost 10% of my body weight since August. I was already pre-pregnancy weight before startng. Home was fantabulous and I've really struggled being back and away from everyone.

Roll on Christmas!

littlepea72 · 13/12/2010 17:07

Faith ended up in hospital again, just got home. Honestly, thank god I got that nights sleep, cant see me getting another one for a while.

HappyTangerine · 13/12/2010 19:05

Oh no littlepea Whats up with Faith? So many illnesses going around at the moment. Hope he is on the mend now and thank goodness you got that rest beforehand.

Joe is ill, not sure whats up. Glands are up on the right side back of his head so he's obviously fighting something He was grouchy and hot to the touch yesterday evening, v v clingy and bf loads. Broken sleep. Vomited all over me last night then promptly fell asleep, waking all zingy at 2am but still with a temp. He's teething badly with two back teeth together, one is almost through and has a huge blood blister on top so not long now. Calpol is helping. Doctors appointment in the morning.

I realised my last post re funeral made no sense (and excuse the typos). Dh's Uncle has specicically asked we attend with Joe (it's his aunt that has died)and I'm a tad worried about keeping him quiet. Mind you, if he's still ill, it's kind of made the decision for us.

Iggy - great to see you back, glad work has been ok. Take it easy. Sorry to hear William has been ill.Sad

HC Sending get well vibes to Matthew. I am pretending not to know how close Christmas is, so much still to do!

Calypso Your race looked like so much fun! Am very envious of your conference location and the follow on trip to Kilimanjaro-climbing that mountain is my dream. All the boring bookfairs and pharma conferences I had to attend and we never once got a fab location like that.Xmas Envy Have a fab Christmas x

Scout Sorry to hear things aren't good. Leaving your family must have been tough. It sounds like your heart is in the States, is moving possible for you all?I hope something can be done to stabalise your weight. How's Sebby?

HappyTangerine · 13/12/2010 19:07

Iggly not Iggy!

fidelma · 14/12/2010 20:49

Littlepea I hope F is Ok what is up?
You also must rest. Give your mum a pat on the back from meXmas Wink

Scout I am so sorry that you are finding it tough at the moment. You have been so strong. This will pass. This will pass. Also it must be so hard to leave your support system back home. You are very strong and I know that you will cope.Don't be afraid to ask for help both in rl and online.(passes the best homemade mince pies that I can)

Snow, freezing temperatures, sheet ice, school plays, dances, parties, mulled wine, frozen pipes,no water, luckly back on for now!,3 very excited children falling to pieces! 1 very loud and fast baby asserting his place in our oh so quiet household. Just a day in the life of the Fidelma household.(secret stashes of chocolate)Xmas GrinOh yes and a dh!

fidelma · 14/12/2010 20:50

HT glad you liked the photos.

Iggly far far toooooooo much at the saleSad

HappyTangerine · 15/12/2010 00:28

Joe has tonsilitis and an ear infection. Have been given erythromycin antibiotics as I am so allergic to penicillin that the doctor didn't want to take a chance with Joe. Banana flavoured goo-brought back memories of my childhood! He's struggling to eat lumpy foods but is bf ok. Very unsettled again last night. Tonight started off badly but he's been zzz since 9pm so I am trying to clean the house. I've had 3 hrs sleep in total since Sunday and am shattered but can't switch off!

Igglystuffedfullofturkey · 15/12/2010 09:36

Poor Faith littlepea, I hope she gets well soon :(

HT poor Joe as well! What's with all the germs going around! I found antibiotics weren't great for William - upset his tummy so better that he doesn't eat much. I hope he gets better soon.

fidelma I have to stay away from the sales. Otherwise my wallet suffers!

scout sorry to hear things aren't great. It must be hard to be away from your family, especially as Christmas is coming up. I hope you look after yourself. Have you thought long term about what you want to do?

Igglystuffedfullofturkey · 15/12/2010 09:49

Oh and HT STOP CLEANING AND REST

princessProudmel · 15/12/2010 22:22

Hi everyone xxx

Just a quick hi. I'll post properly soon :) Eyes are hurting tonight for some reason.

All my 3 are poorly. dd has had this virus thing that lasts a month, temps on and off the whole time and virusey symptoms. F the same as dd and ds1 is suffering with his asthma . I want to keep them all off but this week school is full of fun things like their xmas plays, xmas lunch and parties :( I think I'll keep dd off tmoro and send her in on friday for the party. Ds1 wants to go tmoro as it's bring in a board game day :)

F also has had conjunctivitis for over 10 days. He's on his 2nd type of eye cream. Snuffly, wheezy and runny nose. It's miserable tbh!

iggly I will make a good effort to hoover under his cot and wet dust the walls next to it tmoro. I try and do that for ds1 and dd....

cf You sound soooo busy!!! And nuts!! But happy :)

fidelma I nearly bought dd a coat for next year but for some reason didn't pay before I went up to bed. I bet it's sold out now.

ht ds1 was all over the place at this age too. He still is now....! :( sorry about the funeral. I always stay near the back in school assemblys. And take plenty of snacks.
Poor Joe :( The blister sounds horrible :( Have you been to the doctors yet?
F has 8 teeth now :)

Littlepea yay for the cup!

hc Hello :) it is cold isn't it? I haven't started any kids wrapping yet. I did dh's earlier and they are under the tree :)

picture I haven't found F's Tesco picture yet. I have been trying all day today!! I think Poland is a no . I got a friend to speak to someone and they knew nothing. I've found pics of the shoot on the Czech website but only 2 and they're not of F. I've also contacted a lady from the uk shoots ( a friend did one today and got me a number) so that may come to something and a friend of a friend is going to Prague next week.... lol!

This has turned out to be quite a long post after all!

Hope you're all ok :) xxxx
