Sending you some zzzz vibes fidelma

I ventured outside today, fist time in over a week (exc the doctors) and the world seems to have gone Christmas crazy! Lots of people with trees up already and the shops were heaving. Am going to stick to internet shopping from now on. Joseph had a massive tantrum in HMV Hmm He was out of the buggy, walking around holding my hand and went into meltdown when we stopped him taking cds off the shelves and trying to walk out of the shop with them. I have new respect for fidelma and her shopping expiditions with the dcs after this! Wink

How is everyone and the little ones? Iggly, you are in my thoughts x

Igglybuff · 21/11/2010 15:01

Thanks HC

Lol HT at Joe. William is getting like this - wants out of the pushchair, runs around like a loon then goes mad when we have to stop dangerous behaviour Hmm

I've had the miscarriage now. Unfortunately I opted for natural and bled. And bled and bled. It was horrific. Ended up in a&e and had an ERPC as they said stuff was stuck. I have to stay overnight and I'm heartbroken as it's the longest I've been away from William. Worried he won't forgive me :( I keep crying - am in hospital now and have drawn the curtains as don't want to talk to the other (friendly) patients.

CalypsoFramboise · 21/11/2010 16:42

iggly Oh no! I'm so sorry that you've lost the baby, how heartbreaking :(
I hope that you mend physically and emotionally very soon, must be hard with another DC to look after. Let me know if there's anything I can do... xx

fidelma hope you feel more rested now

littlepea is Faith completely well now? Congrats on her walking.

HT haven't had Annalise have a proper strop out in public yet, sounds stressful, as does the thought of Chrimbo shopping in general Shock

Had a really tough week on the sleep-front; Annalise woke crying every 45-60mins for 5 nights in a row, was super hard concentrating at work, but thought it was a combo of cold and MMR/MenC/Hib jabs. On Friday thought I was going to go mad with tiredness and decided to make my bi-weekly trek to the Dr to check it wasn't an ear infection and this time it was, doh. Antibiotics and copious pain-relief has given us a much better night last night (or was it the cocktails?!). So in short, if in doubt... Hmm

PPM, scout & HT how are you?

HumphreysCorner · 21/11/2010 21:20

((hugs)) Iggly-hope you get to go home soon. xx

HappyTangerine · 22/11/2010 00:56

Iggly William will be so happy to see his mum that he won't even need to forgive you, he'll just be thrilled to see you. A big cuddle to the three of you, so sorry that you're having to go through this. Fingers and toes crossed for you that you get to go home tomorrow. x

Calypso Hope you all get some better sleep this week! Glad A was ok after the jabs and the antibiotics are kicking in. How is the running going? I am taking part in a 2km Santa dash on Dec 12th, just need a nice warm Santa trouser suit. the world does not need to see my legs on a cold day! I am ebaying everything in sight atthe mo to raise funds to get a BabyJogger. DH and Joe are going to start running with me.Grin

Joseph is obsessed with lights, he points at them and calls them "umbumba." He takes his very noisy, lights flashing(did I mention noisy?) fire truck with him everywhere and is currently sleeping with it Hmm. Oh and he's running off with anything he can get his hands on and hiding them in the bath-I find all sorts in there, he thinks its a fantastic game! His preferred wake up time these days is 5am [cry]and he's up and tearing about the place after that. I need more energy, so tired all the time. My coughing is still bad but improving-it was really scaring him.DH back at work tomorrow, we'll really miss him.

littlepea72 · 22/11/2010 07:10

Iggly I think when you lose the baby straight away it is bad enough, but when you have to wait a time for "the next part", its heartbreaking, you just want it all over & done with.
You need your own time, so dont feel bad about William, he wont remember this, think about yourself, this is such a terrible time for you & then to have to go into hospital on top of it all. I wish I was there to give you such a big hug. I have also been in that terrible place & if you ever need to talk to me I will always be there for you, if you want my phone number just let me know, Im here 24/7.

xxx

Igglybuff · 23/11/2010 09:20

Thanks everyone. It's so amazing how supportive everyone has been :)

They let me out in the evening in the end so got to see William at bedtime. He gave me and DH the cold shoulder at first but soon came for cuddles.

I've been signed off work for two weeks and will take it from there. I seem ok emotionally but the nurse said as my hormones adjust it'll hit me then.

Sorry for the me post. I hope everyone is well, babies bump and all! xxx

Hi iggly , sounds horrible :( Poor you :(
Get lots of rest and have loads of snuggly cuddles with W and dh.

I'm ok thanks CF :)
F is still waking every night, sometimes once sometimes more. His front middle teeth are coming through now so no more vampire smiles!! Had a terrible night the other day and doc said he had a sore ear too.
Ds1 is off school today with a sick bug :( he's fine now though watching Katy Perry on tv!! Dd was sad as she wanted to be at home too!

F is ok at the shops as long as I bring loads of snacks....

I'm waiting for his intolerance paed appt.

Waves to everyone else :)

HappyTangerine · 23/11/2010 13:37

Iggly Promise you WILL take it easy and not stress about work? My experiences back up the nurse's comments-my second mc in particular took me a long, long time to come to terms with after I thought I was fine initially. Really happy for you and dh that you got to go home in time for William's bedtime. x

fidelma · 27/11/2010 10:48

Scout19075 · 28/11/2010 12:23

I'm still on holiday leaving tonight for a stupid o'clock arrival at Heathrow Monday morning. Realized last night I don't want to go back I like being here and my parents having their (only) grandchild. Also don't want to face FiL who will collect us.

Will be back when we get back to the UK.

Iggly I hope you're okay. I've been thinking about you and praying for you and your family. I hope you're taking it easy.

fidelma · 28/11/2010 21:31

IGGLY thinking about you. Hugs x

Scout safe journey.

We are soooooooo snowed in! Up a hill and about 2 feet of snow. Here we go againShockDon't even think I will atempt school tomorrow.

Yes we are eatting the turkeys Shock

HumphreysCorner · 29/11/2010 11:00

Hi all, sorry I have been AWOL. Matthew was really poorly then I got it and still have it. No wonder he cried for 3 days and 3 nights poor lad. Wasn't his teeth at all!

Attempted to put the tree up but only got the lights on yesterday. Upset gripey tummy today so may try and decorate later.

Iggly-I was off for 2 weeks after my MC but I didn't feel it was long enough especially when I returned to work. {{hugs}}

littlepea-hope the diabetes doesn't get too bad.

Scout-hope you don't get too delayed coming home.

fidelma-are you really eating one of your pets?

Big wave. Think I need an omlette.

fidelma · 29/11/2010 20:24

HC hope you are feeling better there is nothing worse than being ill with small children.

I hope you will all still speak to me but yes we are eatting the turkeys Shock we bought them as chicks and always intended to eat them. They have a good life but aren't really pets. However I have just put them all to bed because they are stupid! even with a fantastic coop, they don't go in at night. instead they huddle against the wall Hmm now all cosy and warm (we do have at least 18 inches of snow!)

Connor is not 100% bit of a cough.

The snow is a nightmare.School still open.It never closes as there always enough staff to run it.Although I don't think the children did much Hmmnot sure what to do tomorrow. However I don't want them watching TV all day ! That makes me go insane.

Littlepea hope you are feeling OK x

littlepea72 · 30/11/2010 13:00

Oh Fidelma Grin I used to have a big problem with people killing animals they raised, but then someone pointed out to me that they had a better life, plus you knew where they came from etc....It was a woman I worked with that had me in such a state about it, her family were sheep farmers, and one year they had a little lamb that they raised in their kitchen, he was called jack & he was blind. The kids used to have it on a lead for walks & they played with it. One day Jack ended up in their freezer & became lunch!! I was shocked & have never eaten lamb again! LOL....but i will admit that last year we had a fresh turkey & you could really taste the difference. Have a great pre-christmas dinner (yummy!!) xx

HC hope you are all better

Scout I dont blame you for not wanting to come back Smile how did you feel health wise when you were gone??

Igglystuffedfullofturkey · 01/12/2010 19:34

Hi everyone, have been away from the thread for a while! Thank you for all of your well wishes. I'm feeling better - signed off work for three weeks in the end. I am due to go back on Tuesday but we shall see. I'm in no hurry to rush back. Plus have a poorly DS on our hands - up all night, so I am tired anyway. He's had illness after illness for nearly two months now and has finally been prescribed antibiotics and an inhaler by the GP. Poor thing. He's so snotty and wheezy.

fidelma hats off to you with the turkeys. I'm not sentimental when it comes to food and would love to do that sort of thing.

littlepea sorry to hear about your diabetes. I hope it doesn't get any worse - not what you need!

scout have you been enjoying yourself? Sorry to hear you don't want to come back - that's really tough. What's up with your FiL?

We've got loads of snow here - it's bloody cold. Took W out in it - he was not impressed! Xmas Grin

fidelma · 06/12/2010 22:06

helloooooooo anybody out there.............?

HappyTangerine · 07/12/2010 16:58

Hi fidelma, are you still enjoying the snow? Grin Nothing but ruddy ice here. We had about 1cm of snow whch promptly froze. No proper snow like home.SadMy mum is in a pretty bad way down in Wales, lots of snow, now frozen. I bought her ice cleats as she can't get the car out so is walking back and forth to work. Joseph and I are darting outside at the meerest hint of sunshine and laughing at the dogs skating in the park.

Lots of groups off because of the ice/health and safety risk so am entertaining J at home. Hard work, he's very outdoorsy and needs to run about. He's made conquering the stairgate his latest projects-pulls out dvd box sets and books then stacks them and tries to stand up high enough to climb the gate. Little imp! I've just ordered a Funpod so he can help me in the kitchen, no doubt he'll thoroughly enjoy throwing about mixing the ingredients.

scout hope you had a good trip back and you're not too homesick.Am dreading coming back here after Christmas in Wales (yes, I'm going home!GrinGrin)

Waves to everyone else x

fidelma · 07/12/2010 21:52
