Not sure -- I know one of the meds make me dry/itchy so have stock in E45.

Mmmm, I love the smell of Christmas in my house....

Great swimming session today. I think it's one of my favorite 30-minute blocks of time in the week.

fidelma · 21/09/2010 21:49

Just saying Hi to all

Laters Fidelma x

Scout19075 · 22/09/2010 10:07

Feeling very lazy and productive at the same time -- how is that possible?!?!

HappyTangerine · 22/09/2010 12:48

Big wave to all and a hug and sleepy vibes to all the poorly and up half the night babies...and mums.

Party was fab, so lovely to see everyone. Joe was very chipper considering he didn't have an afternoon nap. He's so sociable and a little monkey-would give the guests angelic smiles while trying to swipe their food! Have discovered he likes Indian food, really strong spicy stuff. Very much looking forward to having some more time with family at Christmas. Joseph even slept most of the way home!

We'll be having a tea here for him the weekend before his birthday-unfortunately this means dealing with the dreaded sister-in-law from hell so I may need some support. She is playing mind games again and we have stepped up our plans to move away-viewing places this weekend. Feeling quite down about it today.Sad

Scout Aha, you can be lazy and very mentally productive, mind awash with plans and possibilities. In the meantime, relax and eat cake! How are you now, did you get cream?

littlepea Hope you are still resting x

princessmel Good luck for the Clarks job!

Calypso Yay for A's first word! Grin Did you see the Pope? Joseph is very lazy with a spoon, prefers to use his hands(and make a mess!)

Iggly Is William feeling better? I wanted to to ask you about shoes-did W have little rub marks on the backs of his feet when first using them? Joe's look quite sore

waves to fidelma and HC

Oooh, almost forgot-Joseph went to my mum on Sunday and didn't cry! Its the first person other than me or dh that he has happily sat on for months. She went walking up the street with him, he was v amused. Then was playing with him while dh and I left the house. We were so shocked-dh now thinking of moving to Wales. Result!

Love to all x

Igglybuff · 22/09/2010 18:00

Hello! I had my first whole (well half 4 finish) day at work today. It was so nice to catch up with friends but I had a little tear in my eye when I left William with DH. And it was so lovely to see W waiting for me on the platform (with DH of course) when I got home. DH taught William to dance so he was showing me that Grin

HT William is still snotty but getting better. No, he didn't have rub marks. They measured the width and length of his feet and the shoes were 1cm too long to allow for growing room. I'd go back and ask them to recheck? You have to be careful with babies' feet as the bones are very soft and pliable so badly fitting shoes can do damage. Great news re Joe and your mum Grin You can tell us all about your SIL and we'll support you.

scout what are you up to nowadays?

Scout19075 · 22/09/2010 20:55

Oh, Iggly, I don't envy you! How was your first day back on the whole?

Sounds like I shouldn't relish the idea of S's first shoes! We've had him in a pair of Kilamar (sp) walking boots for camp because we were camping in a farmer's field and I didn't know what we'd find, but I didn't leave him in them for extended periods of time. Since then I haven't tried shoes on him and am lucky if he leaves socks on. Am going to go and get tights for him for the winter because he definitely wants to be barefoot!

S's getting brave with the letting go so don't see it long before he's on his feet solo. The other day he let go, stood grinning at me, started to sink (knees bending), caught himself without grabbing hold, straightened up again then went down on his bum a few seconds later. It was the funniest thing to watch and you could clearly see him trying to work out what went wrong.

Little turkey ate nearly as much of my toasted sandwich today as I did! I didn't expect that at all. Little girl (about 3?) at the table next to us kept saying "Mummy, that baby's eating a sandwich like me!"

I've been busy with Guide things, Senior Section things and getting Christmas presents together/ready. I need all of my American Christmas presents done by the first week of November so we can pack everything up. And in reality, I should have the British ones done by then because we don't get back until December. I love Christmas!! But I feel very behind this year for some reason -- I'm not, just feel like it.

HappyTangerine · 23/09/2010 09:59

Thanks Iggly, suspected as much with the shoes-I worked in a a shoe shop throughout my school years and kept asking this fitter if there was room for his feet to to grow. May go to a Start-Rite shop and see what they say, then go back to Clarks. Not impressed at all.

I didn't realise you were going back so soon, good on you for getting first day over with. Dare I ask how many emails you had to wade through?Grin It must have been lovely to see your dh and William waiting for mummy on the platform.

Waves to everyone, hope you are all good x

I went to the dentist for a small filling this morning and ended up with a wisdom tooth out! Feeling a bit wibbly now so off to bed for a bit before dh goes to work.

Igglybuff · 23/09/2010 12:36

Waves to everyone.Off for a bath.

C has a cold and has been waking up to 5 times a night this week.I have actually taken to getting into the bed in his room as my room is at the otherside of the house.I feel like I have a new born. His birthday is a week today. How did that happen (oh yes I am still in a sleepless haze thats how LOL)

Igglybuff · 24/09/2010 07:22

Thanks littlepea and fidelma Grin

William still has his cold and is waking up a couple of times a night but for ages at a time. So come morning he is exhausted and grumpy.

On the plus side, DH has taught him how to dance which is hilarious!

Scout19075 · 24/09/2010 19:23

Went to soft play for the first time today. I can understand why it's some people's idea of hell. S really enjoyed it, though. But something about it really brought out my judgy-pants. Blush

Igglybuff · 24/09/2010 19:33

You're brave scout - I've never been and trying to avoid! Prefer to take William to the park and get him running about in fresh air. He has a thing about plants and trees at the moment!

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 24/09/2010 19:45

Well, I had taken him to a ball pit in a toy shop in the little town where we had our summer holiday by the sea and he loved it. I thought, really, why not? I think it was busier than a normal day because they have a Friday morning special (£2 entry first child, £1 every child after versus normal £3.70 entry) and £1 coffees & teas from the cafe. Really wasn't a bad experience (except for one incident involving a seven year old who shouldn't have been in "BabyZone" which was for the under five set). We do outside, too, but as it's been cold and wet, this was a good place to let him crawl fast and long.

(How are you feeling?)

HappyTangerine · 25/09/2010 00:43

Big get well wishes to William and Connor and a big wave and cake to all x

Igglybuff · 25/09/2010 07:23

I'm good scout - not feeling any different really so not really believing it yet. A bit more thirsty and tired but the tiredness could be because William is waking a bit more at night and taking ages to go back to sleep.

How are you? Are you going to the docs to get some cream for your hands?

Hello HT how are you recovering from the dentists?

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 25/09/2010 09:28

How are you feeling, littlepea?

HappyTangerine · 25/09/2010 09:36

Hi Iggly thanks for asking. Much better today, sore but the pain has gone from my eye socket now-that really freaked me out! Wisdom teeth are funny old things. I can see why most people have them out uder general anisthetic now!

So is it all starting to sink in? Grin
