Littlepea yes F is with an agency!

Ok here's the story.
One of my FB friends mentioned that No Added Sugar (cool kids clothes company) were looking for babies ages 6-12m for their autumn winter catalgue. So I emailed them some pics and they chose him!!
We went to Islington and F had to wear 2 diff outfits lying on backgrounds of photos of leaves and mountians!! That is out sept time...you can order a cat online....

Then while we were there the photographer asked if he was with an agency. When I said 'no' she gave me the name of a very good one.

So I contacted them and they wanted to take him on.
Since then he's had a casting for John Lewis and then got the job..which is next week. For their nursery range.

And also he did a shoot for the Littlewoods Autumn winter catlagoue. That was done in a FAB house. Here...www.1st-option.net/index.php?locpk=5252&pages=stills_locations.html&cat=individual&cattitle=all&sub=

littlepea72 · 24/07/2010 10:29

OMG

That is sooooo cool! I will have to get a brochure & see him. My SIL is a counter manager in John Lewis, so I will get her to keep a look out too! Well done F!

Scout19075 · 25/07/2010 21:13

Just a quick hello! Hope all of the lovely ladies and babies had a nice weekend!!

BellaCullen · 25/07/2010 21:29

Hello everyone, finally managed to get back on here.
Been having a hard time last few weeks.Nathaniel seems to feed constantly during the night and is really grumpy during the day.
Having to patch him for 4-6 hours is just hell as he needs constant entertainment.and he hates wearing his glasses too and takes them off as soon as you get it on him,so its a battle of wills which he mostly wins as after an hour of it,it gets so tiring. Also got a cold at moment and my ear is killing me,Nathaniel passed it on to me as he had terrible cough and now runny nose too. Also dreading going to my parents on the 16.8,can just imagine their constant banter about my weight gain, lack of routine for N and constant bf.Am so not looking forward to it also not sure how am going to cope with N alone in the morning as DP gets up with him to give me some rest.My parents wont be doing that and I will be going to bed late
and probably burn out after a few days.Everyone keeps saying it will be relaxing and nice to get some help but they`re just not like that. Sorry for going on just had to let it all out.

Feeds still feeds 4-5 times a day and over 3 at night at moment.Only eats small amounts of proper food, somedays none.Feel quite bad about it but enjoy still bf him.
He seems to love tea, thats the english gene in him. Only has a small sip now and then.Had a quite a bit yesterday and <strong>never again</strong> as he just wouldnt go to sleep, absolute nightmare.I know babys shouldnt be drinking tea but he just goes for our cups constantly when we drink some.
Im quite bad what I let him try to eat,hes had a bit of chocolate, crisps and chips and loved it.DS1 and DD never even tasted any of those before they were 18 months old.

princess yay for F getting the JL job can`t wait to see him in the catalogue.

Littlepea glad to see you back and that E has settled well.

HT hope you`re all feeling better.

No crawling here yet either but hes getting frustated that he cant move now was watching the other two with envy today.Hes slowly getting into crawling position from sitting so am sure its not long now.still waiting for his 4th tooth he`s got 3 on the bottom so waiting for the 4th one there his gums look really swollen but still nothing.

Will try and come on more often xxx

HumphreysCorner · 25/07/2010 22:21

Oh Bella-sorry to hear things are difficult. I hope the trip isn't as bad as you imagine. Matthew loves crisps, chocolate and chips and I don't worry about giving them.

Had a virus on my laptop which thankfully DH has now got rid of so back online. Phewee!

Hope all OK.

Hi all
Quick post as kids are off school and we're playing board games while F's in bed...

I let F have chips but not crisps or choc yet. My friends think I'm mad/mean/silly.
But I think he's got years to have them and when he's going and getting them himself (grabbing them from the kids) then he can have them. Before then I'm holding off.

F has day one of the John Lewis job tomorrow. Hope we get there ok...!

Hope your trip is ok BC.

Igglybuff · 26/07/2010 18:36

Hi everyone!

Bella sorry to things haven't been good the last few weeks. For what it's worth, I've just come out of a few weeks of hell with William what with refusing to eat solids as he was teething, loads of night wakings for BF as he was hungry and just generally being so tired. Now I've worked out how to feed him solids (for now!) and not to give any veg or anything exciting/dodgy on the tum at tea time (he gets terrible wind from green veg!!) it's a bit easier and he seems more settled. William has chips all the time! However they're just potatoes with a bit of oil - and I give him roast potatoes which are the same thing.

princess hope the shoot goes ok and travel isnt a nightmare.

I went into central london today to meet a friend for coffee. W loved being on the train checking out all the people, trying to steal their phones. Bless him though, he got jealous when I was holding my friend's 15 week baby (she was so tiny!!) - he had this really sad face on and stuck out his bottom lip as if to cry. Awwwwwwwwwww it was so cute. Had to give him a big cuddle

to everyone!

Hello from me
Joe slept from 2.15 to 5.30pm today, even through next doors drilling and hammering. It means our evening routine is shot to pieces but I figure he needs it. Really suffering with the teeth, he's now cut 6 teeth in 9/10 days and I don't think it's over yet. He's boob feeding a LOT so I'm a bit sore while he works out the latch with his new front teeth.

Food-he loves pasta so, so mych, closely followed by chicken, couscous and extra-mature cheese on toast. Haven't given him chips or chocolate yet, he likes the odd biscuit to crunch though. Seems to show a preference for strongly flavoured herby stuff.

No more d & v but I thik my immune system is shot to pieces . My ear keeps popping and hissing and I'm a bit dizzy-v odd feeling. Its takig me ages to get to sleep because of it.

PrincesProudsMel Big congrats to F on his first job .Hope day 1 has gone well and you both have fun.

HC Glad that the tablets are starting to work

Bella-welcome back and sorry to hear things are so tough atm. Hope trip goes ok. I couldn't manage either if I was on my own visiting family for a week-my mum is always asking if I'll go down there for a longer visit. And huge sympathy on the "not in a routine" questions - with me it's "is he not in a cot yet?" Closely followed by at Joe's latest mission to Access Boob in Public(the latest being to flip upside down in my arms, dig head under tshirt, find boob and latch on)!

Iggly Glad William loved the trains, I would have loved to have seen him trying to grab random phones!

HumphreysCorner · 27/07/2010 09:19

Matthew did a little crawl yesterday and again today. He also has 2 bottom teeth showing so it is all happening here.

PIL have been annoying again regarding DD1 and horse riding lessons. Said she couldn't make her lesson next Sat as she is having a sleepover and mum and dad were taking her and DD2 out for the day. But no, they have insisted my mum and dad take her riding so they can't go out for the day. Dad hires a beach hut for a week and they were going to pick up the key but now they will have to go on Sun. I know it won't matter but am just annoyed at the PIL's interference and controlling nature.

Have a good day!

Busy summer holiday.Half way through already [gasp]

I am sad that some of you don't get good support from your parents and pil.I wish you were nearer and I could give some help.New nursing mothers need all the help they can get.So hugs from me.

Connor has been crawling since Saturday and is fast already.I have to say I was desperate for dd1 and dd2 to crawl but I do find this stage hard work so I am sorry to say that I am a little sad that he is now off however he is so chuffed that it is a joy to watch (all day long !!!!)

Princess F should not be eatting chocolate etc. he is a star model. He must not get spots !!!!!!

DS1 is 5 on Sunday so we are having a massive bbq for family and friends.I wont tell you how many for as it will just confirm my maddness !!!!

Waves to you all. xxx

princessProudmel · 27/07/2010 21:51

Hello! Well we've done day one of the John Lewis job!
F had to sit on a sofa with cute J/L cuddly toys and they wanted it to look like he was chatting with them!!
But......it will be a miracle to make the final cut...they had lots of babies doing each scene. At least 4 babies did the exact same one F did. I saw some pics on the computer and they were gorgeous. But they'll pick the one they think is the best.
I heard another mum say 17 babies had done the pose/scene that her baby had done that morning!!
F scratched his face right before it was his go. So needed lots of makeup ! It couldn't be seen on screen though.

Everybody there was sooo lovely and friendly. I recognised the lady who did the casting and also the lady that got his outfit ready was the same one as from the Littlewoods job.
They all helped me on the TOTALLY SCARY stairs(gaps, high, metal, zig zag, outside) (due to my phobia) and were so kind.

We're back on thur for the cover. I wonder how many babies will be there then....???!!!

I coped fine on the train and asked loads of people for help. With directions, helping me on the stairs at the station and getting over the gap as we boarded the train. I was a damsal in distress!

HT Wow at Joes teeth! poor mite xxx
F has huge sleeps like that too, I do think they just really need it. Yesterday he slept for 3 hours for his morning nap.

HC Yay for the crawling and teeth!! Sorry your inlaws are annoying you.

Fidelma yay to C's crawling too! How many for the BBQ? tell us! We had 25 for mine ...
Lol about no choc! He's not having any...yet

Hi everyone else

fidelma · 27/07/2010 22:31

Princess 25 dosen't cover the children !!!!

princessProudmel · 28/07/2010 08:05

Don't want to jinx things but.....F slept all night!!!! 7.45 till 6.15!!!!

He slept till 4am ish the 2 nights before that too...

Woo hoo!!!

Fidela... you're mad! You must have a LOT of space....

Scout19075 · 28/07/2010 08:40

Wahoo princess!

S is good about going to about 4-5 a.m. most nights. Last night, though, it was after 10 p.m. (please don't ask!) and up at 5:45. He's been in his cot for two hours and I finally gave up and brought him down to play. He was crying/wailing, but he also wasn't sleeping.

Still no teeth. No crawling, either. But lots of pulling up/standing while holding on and the start of cruising. Am off to get him a walking toy when I go to meet a friend for lunch.

We're having lunch with a friend and our town is having a "Big Day Out" or something with lots of stalls giving information, activities, rides. Best of all, it's FREE! My BF group is having a stall so have promised I'd go to say hello. Will take my camera and maybe the young one will get to do a ride or bouncy something since everything is meant to be geared for the under 5 set.

Hugs to Bella. The 16th is my birthday and I'm going to be baking cakes in boxes at camp -- I'll send you some to help you get through your visit. They will be lovely!

Iggly Your train trip could be the start of a life-long love of trains. DH is a big kid when you mention trains (despite the fact that when he works in London he commutes on one every day!). Mom has bought S Duplo train sets for his birthday or Christmas, knowing how much DH enjoys them (trains and Lego).

Took S to meet his GrandNan on Sunday. Every time we've tried before either something happened on our end or her end (last time we got there to find she had shingles, so turned around and left as we didn't want to risk exposure with S). DH was impressed he didn't wail at an old person (Nan is 93) pawing him. I said he gets loads of OAPs touching him at the grocery store so is quite used to it!

S is nine months old today. Where has the time gone?! One week today until I start treatments. Two and a half weeks until we go off to Guide camp. Have realized that S's at nursery for a week, then we're off to camp for a week, then DH is on holiday for week (he'll be at camp, too) then we're off on family holiday for a week. That's all of August done and I'll have DH around for three of the four weeks of it to help. WAHOO!

WAVES and HUGS to everyone!

Scout19075 · 28/07/2010 18:20

So S is a rice cake fiend. Even days like today, where he's off his food, he'll eat rice cakes. Any suggestions what I can put on them?

princessProudmel · 28/07/2010 19:34

Marmite (thinly spread)
Soft cheese like Philadelphia
houmous
um..... that's it!

Igglybuff · 28/07/2010 19:44

Just a quick rice cake response - I put mashed up avocado on them. Or mixed avocado and tuna. Or avocado and banana (I can't give W dairy so have to vary on a theme!!)

scout was thinking about your treatments. Will have everything crossed it goes well. As for trains, we have a line that runs past our garden and William always looks up when he hears one go past. PLus he likes going to the station to meet DH after work...

princess I'm on F's sleep! I hope it's a sign of good times

HT at Joe's boob gymnastics! Is he feeling better yet? He's had a poor time of it with teething and I bet you have too.

HC get those stair gates up! William likes to crawl all the time and gets fed up sitting on my lap. It spells the end of trips out to coffee shops.

William had a TERRIBLE night last night. Not sure what was wrong - he kept waking up crying, but not in pain?? I think more teeth are on the way but it's not hurting him, just annoying him

Lovely day connor gave me a lie in until 8am bliss

We are having a home day.baking lots of cakes for tom's bday party. The weather looks ok for Sunday so everyone can be outside all 53 of them !!!!!!!!!!! just a we family bbq in fairness most families have 3 children so that bumps up the numbers.

My 87 year old grandmother who lives on her owne is really not mobile at all and is also starting to get a little confused. She is very stuborn (SP?)we would like her to move to a nursing home near us any ideas on how to broach the subject?

Connor will be 10 months on Sat where did that year go.I am still sad that he is my last baby but I am full up with 4

waves and hugs to you all.Anyone for cake?

Scout19075 · 29/07/2010 19:23

Fifty-three?!?!?! Blimey you're brave!

BellaCullen · 29/07/2010 22:06

Wow 53!You`re very brave hope the weather will def be nice so they can go outside.

Scout, some cake be great.Wish you all the best for your treatment it`s coming around really quickly.

HT Nathaniel sleeps in my bed during the night havent really told my family that though.I put him in a cot once I get him to sleep (most nights on the breast) and then during the night its so much easier to co-sleep and during the day he mostly sleeps in buggy and on me.
There`s a programm on about sleep training on channel 4 next tuesday with one doing the cc and the other the soft approach will be interessting to see which works.

Had a hard day yesterday as dd had loads of tantrums and then Nathaniel was sick a few times.Still managed to go out to watch Eclipse with a friend though,it was definitely well deserved and had a good time.
We all had lovely day today when we went Kew Gardens with a few friends and their kids. They were all running around and playing and will be sleeping well .

Princess hope they chose F for the catalogue and wohoo for long sleep.

Scout19075 · 29/07/2010 22:45

My oven broke today. WWAAAAAA!!!! I was going to bake tonight, too! I want to do a test run of the cake decorating for my (camp) birthday cake.

Scout19075 · 30/07/2010 09:31

I hope you don't mind, but I posted a question in the discussions section of our FB page. I'm looking for a few ideas for an activity I'm running and know all of you are very creative!

HappyTangerine · 30/07/2010 12:05

fidelma Happy Birthday to your ds for this weekend. 53 sounds like great fun, I love cooking for large groups but am so far away from family I rarely get the chance to do so now.

princessmel Well done on getting over your phobia to get to the shoot, hope F makes the cut. How was day 2?

Iggly and Bella I hope you are having better days/nights

Scout boo to the oven

HC Clever Matthew on the crawling, well done! Sorry about the annoying PIL.

Took Joe back to the doctors this morning to check on the little lump on his head (the infected pimple). Its now a sebaceous cyst, he has one on the back of his head as well. Apparently quite rare in babies but not harmful in any way. We've to hope that it goes away in the next 8 weeks, if not we'll be referred to a pediatric surgeon to have them taken out under general anisthetic. HATE the though of him being under general anisthetic and can't stop beating myself up about the fact that I didn't take him sooner. Dr not sure why he gets them but thinks it could be due to his sweaty head. DH an DHs dad also v sweaty and both DH and MIL have sebaceous cysts so that is a factor. I feel pretty rubbish about it though.

I am feeling really down and wondering if I have PND but just verbalising it to someone will be like admitting I can't cope. I've been discussing with DH about him transferring to day shift rather than the 1pm-9pm he works now. He's rarely in before 10pm and the nights can be so hard. I rarely get to any activities because they are mostly mornings-when DH has his time with Joe. Feel v lonely and missing family and have terrible insomnia, v frustrating. I keep thinking that I'm doing everything wrong, other people seem to hsve a far easier time with their babies so it must be me. And of course, the constant references to how SIL has done things doesn't help.

Joe-lots of white tips showing now, seems to be always cutting teeth bless him. Still on crawling strike but I've worked out why-he's trying to bear crawl(using hands and feet rather than knees) and hasn't got full strength there yet. Balance at standing very good and seems a happy little thing when his teeth aren't bothering him. I have a new didymos wrap on the way, am looking forward to carrying him in it .

Sorry to moan

HumphreysCorner · 30/07/2010 12:09

53

fidelma-my mum and dad started off by putting my Grandma in respite care for 2 weeks every so often. She was so much better there so instead of every 6 weeks the visits became more frequent but she was adamant she wasn't giving up her sheltered accommodation. However, she came home ad realised she couldn't manage and asked to stay permanently. Every now and again she asks to go home but she is now 100 and so well.

Scout-that's a pain. Do you think it can be repaired.

Princess-I am so proud of you managing to get F to his shoots. Go girl!

Must check on Matthew as he is snoozing in the car. He is 10 months on the 1st Aug and I cannot get the urge for No4 out of my mind.

Will catch up properly later and have some cake. Haven't baked as my cakes don't survive very well in the heat. Don't know how else to store them.

Hey

Bella I hope everything will be ok, its not bloody easy & honestly I would hope your family would help.

Mel well done F!!!

HT how are you feeling now? Will your DH be able to take on different hours at work?

Faith has almost a full mouth of white teeth. Its been very fast for her, but even now in the night, she wakes up crying with pain in her mouth. She also grines them!

My DS has been accepted into an Austim workshop for 6-8 yr old, he starts next week, its great news for him.

Hi to everyone else....hope you all have a great weekend!!
