Fine here loti, thanks for asking DC up and raring to go at 7 but didn't actually drink too much last night, phew. It's lovely here so think we will eat our breakfast outside. Hope you can let your girls run around outside while you snooze in a chair

LadyGaGardenia · 12/06/2010 09:51

LOL at all the drunken snogging and hotpants on here last night, honestly, I can't leave you alone for a minute but you're up to your necks in sex and clothes .

Redser have you got your cistin packed away?

Yummy dinner & walk down to the harbour nearby which was v nice in an almost balmy night & there is something so gripping about a black night sea. But both felt bit below par & slightly gloomy. My gloom and bloatedness possibly explained by today's brutal period, yes I am sure you all wanted to know that, didn't you?

Dishwasher has packed up, ds1 exhausted from school barbecue & classroom camp overnight, ds2 wailing every time he's set down, garden covered in dogshit etc etc etc

CaptainCaveman · 12/06/2010 10:15

Morning ladies, seems like I missed some fun last night?

Feeling much brighter for the past couple of days , soI treated myself to this

Day of proper tidying, ebaying and chucking today. Ooh, and the conservatory is half built!!

Lovely skirt cavey! I bought these from there about a week ago (not arrived yet!) but I fear they will be too short and are nowhere near as pretty as your skirt.

CaptainCaveman · 12/06/2010 10:28

oooh, I like those too LGG . The skirt is reversible so it seemed like an extra bargain!

Whats going on? AF arrived 12 days ago, came and went as usual and now she's come back again today . How odd.

MrsMiamla · 12/06/2010 11:23

morning all
can't believe i missed the lurve fest last night!!

LG those shorts are gorgeous! did you go for the pink ones?

cece love that skirt too! about to have a wander round the site myself

TwilightSurfer · 12/06/2010 13:49

Dizzy lemonade like many other juices can be purchased in a can that is concentrated. It's stored in the freezer section at stores (and at home). When ready you open it, add water, and "vio la" you drink it. Nothing crazy, it's just a space saver. I've heard of it being used in cooking recipes too...so not a strange idea either. However........it could be a strange American thing.

TwilightSurfer · 12/06/2010 13:50

Captain could AF not be AF...could AF really be implantation bleed?

dizzydixies · 12/06/2010 14:16

afternoon all, we've had the kids out this morning as it wasn't raining (rare moment) and now home to get on with a few things.

Cece - lovely skirt

TS - how bizarre, I don't think we have anything of that sort here at all and if we do I don't know anything about it. Will have to have a think about that one!

VG - how was your grown up meal?

MrsMiamla · 12/06/2010 15:37

you're probably all going to hate me but DS has just had a 4hr nap!!!

CaptainCaveman · 12/06/2010 16:09

TS away with your nonsense talk . Proper AF arrived on time and lasted the usual 4 days before going quietly on her way. Imposter AF just turned up today out of the blue, just 9 days after the real AF had gone. Hey ho. AM sure she'll feck off again soon!

miamla O managed 30 mins

OP posts:
MrsMiamla · 12/06/2010 16:41

perhaps imposter AF is implantation

don't be too , I made no use of it whatsoever! I pretty much spent the last 3hours waiting for him to wake up!

CaptainCaveman · 12/06/2010 16:45

la la la la la la, i'm not listening to miamla

MrsMiamla · 12/06/2010 16:59

longway..are you confused of s?

RedLentil · 12/06/2010 18:53

Nell is running around upstairs shouting 'Guys! Guys!' to get everyone's attention.

Dh isn't back until late after three days away and he'll find chaos as the plumber has taken out all the radiators downstairs. He's doing the kitsch'n on Tuesday so three more days of plates in one room and cooker in the other.

GladioliBuckets · 12/06/2010 19:00

Ah b**cks got the new coolmobile (car not phone) today and found its milometer is stuck so has probably done more than the 60Kodd miles it shows. Knew it was too good to be true. We still love it though and will try and get the dealer to pay for it to be fixed next wknd or suggest the police might be interested. Thing is it's only trade descriptions act offence, all the police will do is waste the dealer's time a bit looking through their books for evidence of actual clock resetting (which they probably don't do anyway).

Plus, I went out with a friend last night and had 2 large glasses of red - threw up over and over from midnight to 8am and still feel rough at 7pm. I drank way more than that at the Corfu wedding and felt fine the next day! Really should try and quit wine, my body clearly hates it.

dizzydixies · 12/06/2010 19:10

Longway - it has amused me and Red immensly - will have to think of a witty retort so bare with me!!

frigging hell - I made wee vanilla cakes and topped them with butter icing and dolly mixtures for a picnic we're going on tomorrow (weather permitting) and sodding DD2, who was allowed a cake after eating her tea, has been through and eating all the sodding dolly mixtures off the top She's now being sent to bed as this is the final straw today

buckets - I can't cope with Red wine at all, its embarrassing so I just don't bother - come and join me on the Rose!! did you see that link I put up for you? will ask DH re your car but very and for you

TwilightSurfer · 12/06/2010 19:29

Hi. Sorry to barge in. Reese has a rash on arms and legs. Noticed it days ago. It appears when she is hot. There is some bumpiness. Have mentally cataloged it as eczema. She has absolutely no other symptoms and has not been ill anytime recently. I scheduled a doctor's visit for Monday at 2:30PM to ease my mind. I've also been taking pictures of it (as best possible with a camera phone and moving target). Reminds me of MidiSazzles cheeks last spring, except for the bumpiness. Waiting for her to cool off now to reconfirm it's brought on by heat. It's so obvious though.

As you were.

cyteen · 12/06/2010 19:37

Mmmmmmm, I lurve red wine

Busy day today, I popped my motorway cherry albeit on the 'practice motorway' (M69), but was scary/fun and means I can now officially go anywhere with a bit of encouragement. Went to the allotment and did battle with the weeds; was half-expecting a herd of dinosaurs to troop out at one stage, the place looks like the lost world. Still, harvested some delicious strawberries, yet more rhubarb and a bag of radishes. Think some spuds should be ready to pull up soon.

DS has been so funny all day, roaring away at us both and getting properly overexcited. He has had a massive growth spurt recently and seems to have grown several inches through the leg, although during his naked phase this afternoon I noticed he's inherited my meaty thighs.

GladioliBuckets · 12/06/2010 21:17

TS Yup, sounds like heat rash to me, does the rash itself bother her? I'm a big believer in wait-and-see if the child is happy and otherwise symptom-free.

On a totally shallow note, am thinking of getting a fringe at my next haircut, a la Florence and the Machine. Fancying trying a kind of shaggy earthy rock MILF look - would that actually work with specs though? Have had fringes previously and not kept them long, partly because it frizzes up in damp weather and partly looking too much like my mum.

TwilightSurfer · 12/06/2010 21:28

Cyteen you make me laugh.

Buckets I have fringe then grow it out then get it again. Works fine with spectacles. I'm actually considering it again myself.

Heat rash came to mind when she flushed REALLY BAD on Thursday while at the park. That was probably the 1st time I noticed it. It hadn't disappeared when I checked on her last. I'm doing a really good job of waiting this time.

..........lost thoughts

dizzydixies · 12/06/2010 23:55

longway have tried to reply in as witty a manner as possible - I hope you see the irony in it!

night all

TwilightSurfer · 13/06/2010 02:48

pondering whether reese's "rash" isn't sunburn. it feels warm. rashes don't feel warm, do they? eczema doesn't ever feel warm, does it? i put some calendula cream (with aloe) on all of her except her right arm. figured i needed a "control area".

why is parenting so blasted stressing!!!!!
