Loving all the new names, but having to try hard to keep up.... Have been contemplating a new name myself but haven't got round to having a go. Next time someone random turns up it might just be me rather than a random stalker.

pert - thanks to the certainty of the Scottish system and having nowhere else to stay if we sold before we'd bought, we have three times had offers accepted (and in Scotland that means legally binding, huge penalties for not completing on time etc.) before we've accepted an offer (had our place on the market even ). Scary each time, but somehow it worked out each time. Scary, but less scary (imho), than losing the house you know is right and will pop into your head at random moment for many years if you don't make it happen.

Wow, wow. wow oops. What a beautiful family and what a gorgeous new girl. Hope she allows you some sleep and DD1 continues to adore her little sister. I am still, daily, amazed at how fantastic my two are together and what a fab big sister DD1 is.

Have had such a fantastic day with DD1. I do struggle sometimes with her but I always know what a fantastic girl she is. Today I felt it with ever fibre of my being and it was the best feeling in the world. Poor DD2 had a dicky tummy and was horrid. Less said about that the better....

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 23:33

would be rude not to!

RedLentil · 29/05/2010 23:58

What a lovely post Poppy. Don't change your name. It's lovely.

dizzydixies · 30/05/2010 00:07

Red, hope all ok with the PIL. I've come up with the next few headings for the blog already so will write them down before I head to bed. You and VG have created a monster

Poppy - I personally think DD1 is lovely and sorry to hear that DD2 poorly. I know we keep saying it but we really must meet up soon, sorry I've been all over the place.

If I invite you all on FB to join my lovely friend's group would you a. mind? b. all lie and keep up the persona that we all met at uni?!!?!

TS - safe home to you and yours darling

Sazz - hope you are enjoying your swimming

Loti - hope wedding went ok and you and DH enjoying some childfree time

Buckets - enjoy Corfu

Queenie - hope you're being looked after and doing ok

Oops - have a lovely sleep with your gorgeous girl

night all

poppysocks · 30/05/2010 00:18

Thanks red. Spot the person who's ventured into the second half of the wine bottle and therefore overused the word fantastic. . Good luck with the ILs.

Yes dizzy - must get together. Am having a get-together of mother and baby group friends on 26th June, vaguely in time for my b'day if I can tempt you with a bbq and a glass or two of vino?? M would be v. upset to miss out on L again but hey, what can we do? .

dizzydixies · 30/05/2010 08:05

Poppy am pretty sure that is when we're in Belfast for a concert & am missing the Dundee lit fest & all it's cakey opportunities :-( but will double check

loti, you're a bigger person than me, I wouldn't let that lot in my fecking house by sounds of them. How is your health at moment?

readyforanything · 30/05/2010 08:16

Morning all

loti, it sounds rubbish . I do wish you would have some laughter and happiness (girls aside), it must be so difficult for you.

poppy am v impressed with your eloquence on wine .

I went out with some work friends the other night, and one of the girls drank a bottle of wine in the pub (by 7.30, we got there at 6.30) and a bottle with dinner . I would have been on the floor after bottle 1!

Well, my hope for a decent night wasn't fulfilled. DD was up from 12-2 . She is the worst at sleeping in bed with you, so when she wakes in the night it is inevitably a nightmare one way or the other. Ah well.

Here's hoping for some sunshine for everyone today - not looking most promising here. Raincoats and flipflops for the beach then

readyforanything · 30/05/2010 08:17

Yikes poppy that wasn't implying that you were on a par on the wine drinking front!

readyforanything · 30/05/2010 08:18

Right then. Coffee and children here I come.

alittlebitshy · 30/05/2010 08:48

morning.
have had my nose pressed to the comp screen sniffing minestoops aaaaah!

poppysocks · 30/05/2010 09:21

LOL readyforanything. I remember the days of drinking a whole bottle of wine myself before venturing out for the night. Now by the bottom of the second glass I'm usually asleep. Better for my liver I suppose. Blimey at your work friend . Did she make it to the office the next day??

dizzy. Oh well, weekend away with your DH a better option.

Good luck with your day loti.

Hope the first night at home was peaceful oops.

LadyGardenia · 30/05/2010 09:35

Sorry to you UK losers, we weren't far behind you.

Must go and have a gander at wee oops, gaaaah I cannot get 5 mins at computer without someone dragging at my elbow, this is poss as have spent last week working so have used up all my computer credits.

poppy I thought that was a lovely thing to write about your dd1! ds1 a complete star the last few days too.

LOTI yes Leinster lost, first time ds1 has seen them lose! He was chirpy enough though.

dizzy re. Scottish rugby holiday, I think you can count us in! Though I don't think I have ever planned a weekend away nearly a year ahead before . You can email me re. cost of tickets etc and I suppose then we just stick it on the calendar and it happens!

CaptainCaveman · 30/05/2010 12:27

dizzydixies · 30/05/2010 21:24

visit went ok today, DH back to work after feck all sleep bless him and I'm now utterly pooped. all clear may have been given but I think I should remind myself to pace myself a bit more

more steps re empire being made due to help of MissWhiplash Red, now have domain name even if feck all on it

tv on, ironing being ignored and throw me off if I'm still on here past 10pm

RedLentil · 30/05/2010 21:44

Brill on the domain name though.

Off to drink wine with David Miliband, Eeyore and Penelope Pitstop.

Miamla, you were ogling Lord Gardenia at your own wedding?

CrispyTheCrisp · 30/05/2010 21:45

Evening all

Back home and rather shattered after 7hrs pool tuition and 8hrs classroom tuition . Fair to say i am not exactly fish like yet and apparently could take another 5 years . Lovely, lovely time with a wander out to a pub in Windsor on Friday night and mucho hilarity had at Eurovision party last night

No energy time to catch on everyone but MrHots is Johnny Depp in Chocolat, all musically with a twinkle in his eye

Pert lovely, lovely house and offer away. We offered on ours with 2 to sell (1 not even on the market) and it all worked out, although took 6 long months

dizz will checkout your weekend of empire building v soon

cyteen bloody feckers with your assignment . I am mightily with anyone even attempting to go back to studying. I think after GCSE's/A Level/Degree/3 yrs Accountancy exams i was cured of any need to do any further studies

Off to check out oops's snuffly one

dizzydixies · 30/05/2010 21:50

Red - dbrother had a brilliant site for domain names which I could like if you haven't already sorted yours out? let me know and enjoy the wine, that's quiet an eclectic mix of company you've got going on there

welcome home Crispy glad you had such a lovely time

TwilightSurfer · 30/05/2010 22:06

Hi I'm hope....as if you didn't know that already. Not caught up since....Friday, maybe. Trying to balance my checkbook. Will catch up soon soon soon!! (((hug)))

longwayfromhome · 31/05/2010 01:11

OK, DH has just come home from church and said to me "I could be played by Peter Graves, George Peppard or Lee Marvin"

springaporesling · 31/05/2010 02:13

Oops/LG thanks for your offer and sorry not to have got back to you. Have now satisfied myself with Oops lovely FB pictures!

Dizzy you have been busy - I'd say some cake was in order!

Well as no-one has been chosen to play me I think I shall just have to play myself and hope that all your lovely non-RL DH's prefer a real woman - wobbly bits and all . That way I get pick of the bunch!

Crispy can see the scales and fins sprouting from here! Glad the weekend was good though. Will now have to go and google what happened in Eurovision as it completely passed us by.

DH off to Dubai till Wednesday on work. DS full of snot and coughing so no sleep for me whilst he's away. M&D have offered to stay with DS the weekend of our anniversary so we can go away somewhere. So having a think about this.
