I forgot to say to CC how amazing it is that O is sleeping through. Fantastic, well done. Two non sleeping babies, a blocked duct and a stonking cold here. All up at 4am FFS as after his 3 hour nap DS decided that this must be morning. the babies then kept each other awake until we gave up, the TV went on DS ate two yoghurts and we all went back to bed at 7.

DS and DH out in the car. Pissing down with rain. I am at the ILs with DD doing marking.

PS I asked DH who he would like to play him in a film. He said "why" I said "and the women on the internet think that I'm calm too. More from him.

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 19:53

am being rather premature here but looking at business/skinny blog cards

opinions please ladies on this one

here

something I like but something I don't like too

cyteen - I have huge admiration for anyone that can hold a decent conversation never mind get to the level of education that you can once you've had children, my mind is mince

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 19:56

or this?

Longway - sorry to hear about stinky colds - are the wee ones blocked up too? can you get saline to skoosh up their noses to help with that? and when I had blocked ducts the netty things for in the shower really helped massage the boobs and unblock them

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 19:57

oh and I had your DH as Richard Gere for some reason, think it was the silver hair

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 19:58

or that one

sorry, will stop now

the cake with wings was chosen as VG put me in the notion of doing something by post and the other two I just liked - even so Red has been trying to get me to put my business hat on today so maybe I should stop looking at things I 'like'?!?

cyteen · 29/05/2010 19:59

Hmm, I'm with you on the like/don't like dizz - perhaps a little bit too faux-naive for my taste. I reckon you'd be better off with a gloriously retro tattoo-inspired cupcake design, if you can find one (but then I would say that wouldn't I )

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 20:04

I think the face on the flying cake is what bothers me and the floral one is a bit too, well, floral for me - now had it been full of cherries

now, where to find a retro-tattoo cupcake and don't tempt me, I'm toying with the idea of a small discreet tribute to Gabriel and Joshua somewhere on my person but wouldn't know where to start

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 20:05

this is what you get lol

CaptainCaveman · 29/05/2010 20:06

Thanks guys, and cyteen am lol-ing at sending out hair colonists to your chin . Thank you too for the nice hair comment . Lets just hope it doesn't all fall out Oh well, I could always do an Elton and get hair implants!!

Eeek mayhemmish day today.

Oops and family oops how lovely to be at home together and relaxing into it. V of you but also very very for you too . Hope dd2 enjoys her first night there and that she has a nice long sleep waking only for sleepy feeds before snuggling back down. Your home always sounds very love-filled, dd2 will fit right in .

Cece sorry about hair woes. Is something I know nothing about (handfuls fell out after ds2 but I ignored and think it grew back - hair seems normal birdsnest now). However by pure coincidence I did hear the lovely Jennie Bond - ex royal corr - on the radio the other day talking about a remedy she uses called Viviscal, now obviously she is promoting it but she did say she'd used it for three years and found it effective. Ms Bucks Fizz used it too, fittingly given tonight's comp. DISCLAIMER I do not work for Viviscal or Jennie Bond or the royal family or even the Royle.

dizzy ducky sorry I was in and out earlier, was bit crazy here & we went out of chaos to fete (I won some flower arrangement in the raffle - haven't seen it yet!) and back into chaos and out for tennis and back to chaos and now dp and ds1 are at rugby and ds2 is in bed and instead of drinking gin I am doing my 30 day shred dvd . Re business cards if you want them my STRONG advice is get something original. I have an illustrator friend I could ask to draw something cakey for you? But you probably have quite definite ideas & might be difficult? I mean IT might be difficult of course not YOU . But keep asking the q's and I will keep answering what I can . I'm really really delighted you've got going on this btw.

perts that house is YUMMY and the garden looks really lush, it's a forever house, isn't it? Oooh you lucky duckers, go for it if you possibly, possibly can.

cyteen pah that's really shit.

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 20:13

cyteen - this is the nearest I can find and its not a business card

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:17

dizzy I think you should be looking for a logo that will serve for your delivery service, your blog, your cafe - I really think you need an original logo that will look good on everything. It's branding, baby!

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 20:19

good grief you don't ask much do you?!!?

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:21

Oh I told dp about the Grey's Anatomy doc (after googling), he said "Is that Dr Dreamy? Yes, I'll have him" but my googles said no it wasn't Dr Dreamy. He doesn't look like your doc, dizzy, he's more rangy. I am dwelling on who I would like to play him... actually I can't think of a single actor who looks like him, I am stuck on James Stewart atm, however I could be tempted by Robt Redford, do we need someone who is still alive or is this pure fantasy??

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:22

moi?

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:24

No I don't ask for much, only that you get a good and original image and logo which no-one else will have and which will be 100 per cent yours and reflect what you do and convey that to me your adoring public.

There is no point getting half-branded now and having to chuck it and start again at some point. Go with 100 pc quality from the blocks.

I used to work for an advertising agency. I think I am having deja vu.

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:25

Have a winged cake by all means but let it be YOUR cake and your wings.

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 20:25

no, he was known as Dr McSteamy I discounted McDreamy for being a bit wet. I had your DP down as the tall, muscular (rower) type

and did we need to pick someone that resembled our DH's?!?! I missed that bit

longwayfromhome · 29/05/2010 20:26

lucyjanescakes.co.uk/default.aspx

An old friend on facebook runs this website (lives in London, so not the competition) in case you want to have a look

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:27

He is 6'2 and handsome and generally slim but with rock hard thighs and stomach and superstrong back.

Though I can say what I like about him, any of it could/not be true as he is no more than a figment of your imaginations.

No I think a sort of suggestion of the aura of your dh/dp is all that's required. Identikits too dull.

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:28

It's weird you've not met dp.

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 20:28

ooohh Longway, she does really pretty cakes thank you for that

dizzydixies · 29/05/2010 20:30

and with skill FAR FAR FAR superior than mine too lol

LadyGardenia · 29/05/2010 20:30

Feck it Leinster lost the final just now. My two rugby fans will be .
