Tink, she just loves her swing and asks to go in it for naps, so we are loathe to get rid of it until we absolutely have to. As soon as we put her in there with her favourite blanket and toy she (usually) goes straight off to sleep. Haven't actually used it as a swing for months - until today.
Not sure exactly what her weight is now she's been ill. Think she was around 19 and a half, so is probably back down to around 19 at least by now after being so ill. She's a shorty pants though, as she is on the 9th centile for weight and height (same as ds1) so still fits in the seat nicely. She's still in her first stage carseat with no problems as well.
People keep stopping us and saying how clever she is to be walking so young and I have to explain that she is 16 months, but still in 6-9 months clothes. She is just moving up into the odd item of 9-12, but they tend to swamp her.
When I think back, ds1 must have looked really odd walking at 10 months when he was such a tiddler - must've been a bit like seeing a 6 month old walking, but being my pfb, I had nothing to compare it to at the time.
Dd started off on the 25th centile, but settled onto the 9th at around 10 months iirc. The HV was happy that she'd found her natural level though, as despite being a shortie she still had plenty of chubbs. Dh and I both have short people in the family. His mum is only 4ft 11, my Nanny was 4ft 10, and my Dad was only 5ft 2, whereas I am just a smidge under 5ft 7 and dh is 5ft 9. I am the tallest in my family, both sisters are 5ft 3 and Mum is 5ft 5. Dh is the tallest of his siblings with both his brother and sister being 5ft 2. So I guess you could say we are both the odd ones out height-wise in our own families.
Ds2 is the only one that seems to take after us. He has always been on the 50th centile for both height and weight.
Dh arrived home early from the conference he's been at today and is playing frustration with the boys, so I am still having a laid-back afternoon. Have bought pizza for tea as well, so I don't even need to do any real cooking - ahhh!
