Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PiggyPenguin · 17/06/2010 15:50

I don;t think J would be much more than that Dewin, but since I haven't had him weighed since he was 8 months I don't have to worry about it!

Amberc · 17/06/2010 16:02

Happy Birthday Peter too - I can't keep up!

Anyway the news is that I will be needing a triple buggy!

poppy34 · 17/06/2010 16:11

Wow that's amazing news amber. How you feeling and does mark know (he was away wasn't he)? And if so how long til he refers to you being more than half way to a five a side team

Amberc · 17/06/2010 16:14

Well he was with me today and the sonographer held up two fingers and Mark started laughing nervously! Both same size, both have heartbeats. I am bleeding a little after the scan but it's vaginal so maybe she was a bit rough - obviously I am still panic stricken. I have told Mark not to get excited yet and to stop worrying until I get to 12 weeks - then he can start worrying! I am 7 weeks 6 days today and they measure exactly that. I need to start taking more care of myself!

DebInAustria · 17/06/2010 16:59

That's fantastic news Amber, take good care of yourself now

Amberc · 17/06/2010 17:13

Oh shit - I'm bleeding now - red blood - utterly panicking.

Rolf · 17/06/2010 17:23

Amber is Mark still with you? We'll all hold your hand...

poppy34 · 17/06/2010 17:27

It could well be the scan thingy as your cervix can be quite tender- are you getting cramps?

DebInAustria · 17/06/2010 17:28

What's happening Amber? Still bleeding?

Amberc · 17/06/2010 17:57

Yes Mark is coming home immediately. My lower abdomen is hurting a bit but it has been for a while. I'm too scared to look in my pants and I have Luke to look after.

EddieIzzardismyhero · 17/06/2010 18:00

Bleeding after vaginal scans is very common Amber . Congrats on the news and hope all is well x

DG, we'll be in Dunblane for about two weeks, and deb, Northumberland would be lovely .

I'm taking a self-imposed break from MN for a couple of weeks cos I'm starting to panic about the amount I've got to get done before we move .

See you all in a couple of weeks time x

If had pains for few days it's probably stretching ESP if two in there. And it's too much of a coincidence that started after scan- let's face it only Samantha in sec in the city was designed to have large plastic objects stuck up her fanjo.

PiggyPenguin · 17/06/2010 18:28

Blimey Amber you poor thing. I hope everything has calmed down, and you are ok.

Amberc · 17/06/2010 18:28

Thanks all. Am lying down quietly now. Mark is home to look after Luke. The nurse said it was very uncommon to bleed after the scan and not to worry unless it was red blood and next thing I know...praying it stops. Thanks for hand holding x x

abdnhiker · 17/06/2010 19:35

Lots of hugs Amber - hope you're having a good night and feeling okay.

neenz · 17/06/2010 19:35

Oh Amber, hugs for you. I'm praying for you, it's terrifying isn't it when you get bleeding. But if there were two HBs this morning then unlikely for anything to have gone wrong so quickly surely - much more likely to be the scan or implantation that caused the bleeding...? I had a miscarriage at 10+4 but didn't start bleeding till 13+1 so hopefully it is not that. Was it a private scan? Ring your GP or MW tomorrow to get another (NHS) one. ((((((more hugs))))))

Happy birthday Ethan and Peter

Would be great to do a Liverpool meet-up. Mon, Tues or Fri as I work the other days.

I have T and E's 2yr check tomorrow (only 6wks late!) - I think T is 30lbs at least!

DebInAustria · 17/06/2010 19:48

Hope it stops soon Amber, let us know

Poppy - lol about the sex and the city reference!

Eddie- best of luck with the move, I was just wondering what you were counting down to on FB

At last they're in bed, feel like I've been a rubbish Mum to Stefan today as I don't feel 100 %, and he has been coughing all day, it really got on my nerves, isn't that terrible of me? He doesn't feel ill now, just a cough, so I'm sending him back to school tomorrow Birthday photos on FB but don't go looking for smiles, we didn't have many of those today from birthday boy.

Spider, keep looking for Brio or compatible on Ebay and jumble sales, car boots, you'll soon be able to make a bigger track!

DewinDoeth · 17/06/2010 19:54

Amber thinking of you, and hope all is ok.

DomesticGoddessInTraining · 17/06/2010 20:19

Amber, just adding my thoughts for you to everyone else's.

Eddie 2 weeks in Dunblane eh? Well, if you fancy a wee day trip to Edinburgh zoo let me know. Or, if you'd get both Biscuits and I at the ITNG show at 9.30am on the 13th September in Glasgow!

You're not a rubbish mum at all Deb - a day of coughing would drive me potty too!

Unbearably close here again tonight. Had a really long day at work, just had tea and now back to the books. DH is off to London tonight on the sleeper so tomorrow I have to travel for 1/2 hour to take S to nursery, then travel for 2 hours for a 1 hour meeting then another 2 hours back to the office. Rubbish.

DoNotFeedMeBiscuits · 17/06/2010 20:42

amber fingers crossed for you here, hope all is well, I agree with neenz, if all was well with 2 hb this morning, more likely to be from scan than anything else x

Eddie Dunblane isn't far from here at all, I don't work Mon/Tues so hopefully we could find a good time to meet up (although have exams in September - which fortnight are you up?)

Dewin I also HATED white teeth, one of the very few books I left unfinished, along with captain corelli's mandolin. And regarding my non-windowed department, yes, it's a hospital department - in fact, history fans, I currently work in the UK's first established Xray department Castle GraySkull our department is in the basement.

I don't know if we get a 2 year check (any ideas DG/Abdn/bugger? ) I think C prob weighs about the same as Iestyn.

Shadow of the wind rocks Penguin if you haven't read it I'd bite rolf's hand off for it!

DoNotFeedMeBiscuits · 17/06/2010 20:52

And happy birthday Ethan and Peter x Off to look at your photos Deb!

abdnhiker · 17/06/2010 21:09

biscuits we got a letter saying we could opt out of the 2 year check if we wanted - we just had to fill in a form saying we've no concerns. Since the last thing I want is him to be weighed by a HV (he's about 10.5 kg, same as Iestyn), I said no thanks!

(and in a small voice, I didn't like white teeth either...)

DomesticGoddessInTraining · 17/06/2010 21:15

Another white teeth non-finisher here too! I did finish captain correlli's mandolin but, oh it was laborious!!!

No 2 year checks here AFAIK. But no idea really.

SpiderWilliam · 17/06/2010 21:33

Amber what a rollercoaster today. Thinking of you. xx

Here I think we fill in a 2 year survey. Obviously I havent received it yet, I doubt that I will for at least 2 months.

Deb - sorry your ill household marred E's celebrations. My neighbours and her Mum plus baby came round at 7 for blowing out candles on my second very dodgy cake of the week. James made it back too. It was lovely. Deb I fear your prediction may be right and she may be back in her size 10s next week. She told me she was wearing one of those body stocking things that suck you back in post baby. I really think that with a baby of less than 3 days you need to be eating lots and not even thinking about iwill try to do photos later.

DebInAustria · 17/06/2010 22:16

I will kiss my boys lots tomorrow despite the coughing as I have just heard about a boy a year older than Stefan who I taught in Nursery, has been killed in a tractor accident on their farm. He was a lovely boy , all smiles and a real outdoor farming type. What a loss, I can't imagine what his family must be going through.
