morning...

happy camping sazz ..

hope you have a fab hols TS..

Happy birthday little miss L dizzy and i truly hope the inlaws behave for you dizzy ...

hang in the oops not long now..

dd1 woke at 5.30 ad went runing into her sister's room .. hauled out and dispatched back to her own room and both up from 6.15am..

horrible dodgy tummy but the sun is shining so hoping that the girls will be outside all day ..

no further forward with dh.. although he keeps telling me how much he misses me and really wants us to try and sped some quality time together just the two of us.. he said he was really worried about how run down i seem at the moment so hoping that he is starting to realise that things are not good .. we shall wait and see

dizzydixies · 22/05/2010 07:42

L's birthday is tomorrow but I think we'll at least start eating cake today!! She can have her mystery box today too!

Loti, I wish I was closer, I really do. I'd haul him out the bed & tuck you back in to recover I really wish you could see that the 'wait & see' stage has passed before your health suffers permanent damage

oopsandbabycoconut · 22/05/2010 07:57

Morning

DD only up at 7.15 so bonus a pity my giant feet kept be awake - I used almost an entire can of Magicool on them in frustration at one point!

Sun shining, bloody noisey beautiful birds singing, DH about to be pounced on by DD who apparently needs him.

MrsMiamla · 22/05/2010 08:16

I got woken by a very excited little boy shouting for 'mammmmmmmma and dadd-deeeeeee'
I went in to investigate, DS was standing on the windowsill and the neighbours' skip was being collected

morning girls

loti DH missing you and noticing you're run down sounds like a step in the right direction but as steps go, its only a baby step. He can do much much better imo! What's he up to today?

oops sorry to hear feet aren't better. i still haven't got any helpful advice but got buckets of sympathy with a brownie on top

dizz but if your DH did that at the disco, surely all the girls would be hanging round the door swooning at him! Great idea to keep the boys out though!
And yes, DS already cleans up better than DH...i'm rather proud of him

crispy i'd be suspicious of that dizzy woman if i were you... that's an awfully suspicious whistle she did earlier!

RedLentil · 22/05/2010 08:43

Loti, echoing Dizzy here, because what is your dh saying here:

He wants to be a) Best option - living the bachelor dream b) Middle option - living the pre-kids dream c) Living the 'with kids' reality ... er, not so much.

If you look ill, what is he doing to make you feel better? Ask him directly. And if he doesn't say anything announce you are going back to bed and just go.

We need to you to demand your basic rights instead of waiting for him to think of offering them to you. Please, please hear how worried we are about you.

Dizziestdizz- have a very happy birthday.
Dizzy- Maud wants a fully-functioning rocket for her birthday in a month's time ... any ideas on how to talk her down?

RedLentil · 22/05/2010 08:44

Miamla - that's hilarious. The people who live opposite had their gate and wall demolished yesterday. Childcare here consisted of putting a few chairs by the window so the girls could watch.

Apparently it was 'may zin.'

MrsMiamla · 22/05/2010 08:53

red how old is she going to be? i've had a great rocket from DH a few years ago. i can look up the name if you're interested

RedLentil · 22/05/2010 09:03

Four. She expects it to be in the garden so she can have breakfast and then fly to space.

oopsandbabycoconut · 22/05/2010 09:12

And Dizzy thought she had issues producing a pony, dragon and puppy

MrsMiamla · 22/05/2010 09:50

i'm not sure the one i've got will suffice her needs then!

dizzydixies · 22/05/2010 13:15

Aaarrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. And that's all am saying

springaporesling · 22/05/2010 13:18

Oops I suffered badly with cankles at the end with DS because of the heat. I borrowed a foot spa from someone and used to fill it with water and ice cubes that was pretty much the only thing that would work. Swimming or just floating (at that stage) worked ok too.

Took DS to the fire station today - they are open to the public every Saturday morning. DS loved it - 'fire engine like it'. So think we might be going more often.

MrsMiamla · 22/05/2010 20:20

oh dizz, try and come back later for a rant...sounds like you need it

springaling Woah! T would be so jealous!

oopsandbabycoconut · 22/05/2010 20:34

Okay now I just look stupid!!!! I hsve fat sausage toes and ankles bigger thsn my calves!!!! My lsptop charger has died and I am using the 10inch netbook!!

We should have placed bets on what time Debenhams would have occurred Dizz - Hope your day didn't endup too stressful.

DD would also have been very jelous Singa!

We had a lvely day just pootling DD In the psddling pool and sand pit. Me on the lounger demanding people bring me drinks DD discovered that being sprayed by the hose as I was watering the veg tonight was great fun and we ended up dragging a wet shivering little person yelling 'more mummy more' up to bed. Any ideas on cooling a very hot room? hers was 27 at bedtime and she went down in a nappy and vest. Curtins have beenclosed againest the afternoon sun adn windows open but no help.

DInner on the BBQ so back later.

MrsMiamla · 22/05/2010 20:42

apparently spraying water on the curtains can help cool room down. something about the heat evaporating the water instead of heating the room or something Might be worth a shot!

I've spent all day in my bikini, DS has been naked and we've had great fun. Dbro (not wanker-chops, the other one!) popped round to help me eat some brownies (and i've sent him home with a doggy bag!). so all in all had a really lovely relaxing day

dizz just seen fb. i can't believe they dragged you to bloody debenhams. actually, i can but seriously!!!!!

oh and oops, i'm sure someone, somewhere in the world finds sausage toes and fat ankles very attractive

RedLentil · 22/05/2010 21:47

Can I show you the dress I bought today?

ta dah

oopsandbabycoconut · 22/05/2010 22:04

oooh redster - me likey

RedLentil · 22/05/2010 22:11

Thanks. I hadn't bought anything since October as we've been saving for the extension but when I realised today I was wearing nothing under six years old it was time to go shopping!

Which was fine until we were in Dunnes Stores in Ballincollig, and Maud, who had fallen in love with the dress hoiked it up to show everyone my knickers.

Oddly enough I had actually taken time to pick respectable pants this morning. Pink polka dots.

Oops, the cankles are v. hard to deal with I think. I found they made me feel v uneasy and tense. When dd1 was 8 days late in this kind of heat and my legs were tormenting me i thought I might lose my mind. At least with the birth there is excitement and the sense that the pain is productive.

Glad to hear you were being minded a bit today.

dizzydixies · 22/05/2010 22:55

I wasn't dragged to debenhamdms, they fucked off there for 2.5hrs anyway, drinking wine & blowing up balloons for birthday tomorrow & photos on fb of L opening her box this morning. Night all send me calming thoughts

dizzydixies · 23/05/2010 07:48

It's fucking pouring!!!! 28degrees yesterday & today I can't see the garden for the rain poor poor L was SO excited about her first proper party & WTF am I going to do with 25 people, including 12 lids indoors

morning all (sad)

poppysocks · 23/05/2010 09:27

Oh dizzy, poor L (and poor you). Your bbq was my first thought on waking up to the sound of rain battering down. Second thought was for DH who left at the crack of dawn to cycle 200k and who I suspect will already be drenched and seriously hacked off. And all after yesterday! We were in our neighbour's garden (south-facing and complete with bouncy castle, paddling pool, climbing frame, sandpit and bbq fired up ) and it breached 30 degrees. A record for May in these parts apparently.

Lurverly dress red. And LOL the pink polka dots. My current faves sport them too .

Well. plans for the beach today are shelved, so off to Church this morning and while there will pray for a return from the sun so that we don't end up at the playbarn this afternoon .

TwilightSurfer · 23/05/2010 18:17

(disclaimer: have not read to catch up.)

Dizzy SENDING BOAT LOADS OF POSITIVE VIBES YOUR WAY!!! I'd say with that many folks a movie might work. Or just find some umbrellas and let them have at it.

Oops keeping an eye out for you.

Online only briefly (ha ha) as DH thinks now I have a problem requiring intervention. I think he's just miffed his mobile is about dead so he can't surf and do work.

Found a new bikini while shopping this morning but can't decide if I want to spend a fortune on it. DH said get it. I said I'd think about it. If there's anything I need interventioning from it's bikini purchases.

Sazzles we ate at Harry A's for lunch. Hope your camping is going well.

to all. will check in later.

TwilightSurfer · 23/05/2010 18:21
