MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 20:43

evening ladies..i've eaten too much!! can't move, stuck here for a while!

TS hope you have a wonderful wonderful holiday...try and get a little bit of rest whilst you're there though!

oops surely planning on a night of camping is a certain way of encouraging Hectorina out, no?

saw my lovely mw today. had to tell her off for her telling DS to shut up though Given that we'd been waiting in a hot, stuffy corridor for her for an hour, I'm absolutely amazed he was as good as he was! When i pointed this out to her, she apologised to him and said he was a good boy It did help that i came fully prepared with a fruit bowl that he munched his way through!
Well surprise surprise I'm measuring big for my dates had it with DS as well. But you know what, she doesn't care! Well its not that she doesn't care its just that she doesn't put any weight on the whole measuring process! She told me off for being too skinny and asked if i was dieting. She agreed that my putting on almost 2 stone since pre-pg was acceptable

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/05/2010 20:50

Miamla - For the first tiem in this PG I measured to dates today so she fussed about that too.

MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 20:55

of course she did oops! blimey, your current mw sounds like my old one!

MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 21:27

hmm so crispy is off camping, hots is away, dizz is busy with birthday frivolities, TS is off on her hols, oops will be busy meeting Hectorina... bloody hell! its going to be a quiet few days on here

MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 21:28

this thread might last us two weeks after all!

DH away all day tomorrow and not back til late so i'm going to be talking to myself aren't i

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/05/2010 21:33

I'm here Miamla - and not going anywhere fast!

Any ideas on how to get rid of swelling in my fat feet and cankles? I have never had cankles before they are rather unappealing!

dizzydixies · 21/05/2010 21:40

evening all, costco and waitrose were fine although the waitrose in Edinburgh tiny in comparison to Sazz's which was probably just as well for the old bank balance.

Home in time for school out and the kids all played nicely till the inlaws turned up. Evening hasn't been too bad although they did announce at 9pm that they were off to tesco and we were to keep dniece -eh..... no. At that point I mentioned DD2 had been awake since 5am and outdoors ALL day and dead on her feet so whilst dniece was welcome to stay mine would be going to bed. So they've left to go to tesco, with the car and I swear to god if they feck off to Debenhams in the morning I will go orbital!!!

Crispy - enjoy your weekend you canvas loving weirdos!

TS - happy holidays

Oops - DD2 is beside herself with excitement re the massive mystery box so she's getting to open it tomorrow morning, if she sleeps past 5am!

foggy - hope you're not poorly

hope its smiling on you all this weekend too, we've bought a tonne of bbq food so it will no doubt piss down tomorrow (poppy if it does am sorry!)

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/05/2010 21:42

Not going till tomorrow ladies....

We are all packed and ready to go after brekker though so looking forward to a day on the beach

Happy birthday to MidiDixie and hope family feuds relations go well

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/05/2010 21:45

Dizzy -After all this I just hope it's not a dissapointment!

Dizzy - I am off to Waitrose heaven in Salisbury tomorrow it is giant and huge and I love it too.

NO rain for anyone tomorrow!

MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 21:49

does anyone want a brownie? i feel sick!

oops aren't you meant to raise them above your heart? but i don't really have much of a clue..sorry!

dizz yeah! well done for saying no to them!! keep it up girl!! As for tomorrow, let them feck off if that's what they want to do, surely it'll get them out of your hair for a few hours, no? oh but make sure dneice goes with them!

crisp oooh you lucky thing! have you told the girls or was it wiser not to and get some sleep?

CaptainCaveman · 21/05/2010 21:54

So, very briefly....O doesn't have the pox. took him to the walk in centre and they think it's either hand, foot and mouth disease (but not likely) or a virus, or a reaction to something. So, basically they don't know, but don't think it's infectious.

Anyhoo, we've had a lovely day in the garden, pruning and shaping and the like.

oops i remember the cankles! And pitting oedema up to my hips!!! hope it all goes soon, and I also think you are right to make your ILs wait if that is what you want.

Hi everyone. If you see me on here this weekend, don't talk to me and tell me to go get on with my assignment!!

MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 21:54

my petals are drooping like a wilted flower...I need some sleep!

safe journey to all you travelling hairy truckers

happy birthdays to Ms L Dixie

and to the rest of ya, see you tomorrow...hopefully not too early!

night

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/05/2010 21:55

Fingers x'd for the weather dizz and just take yourself off into zen calm zone and you'll be just fine. I feel now i should have taken you on a tour of Cheltenham's Food & Home Waitrose and Cirencester which is HUUUUGEEE

miamla we told the girls but DD2 just went and DD1 went hyper. Maybe we should have held off!

OP posts:
MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 22:08

I suspect when dD1's up with the larks tomorrow you'll wish you held off! Hope for your sake that i'm wrong though!

forgot to say...had a momentous moment with DS today. Last few days he thinks its a great game to get a mouthful of milk and then pretend he's a fountain...all over the carpet I, on the other hand, don't think its such a good game! I've been a bit of a mean mummy and making him sit facing the wall for a minute if he's persisted in doing it (after being warned) and then giving him a bit of kitchen paper to clean it up. Well today, he stayed sitting for the whole minute (whilst giving me a few pitiful looks!), got up at the end, gave me a lovely cuddle, took the kitchen paper off me and cleaned it all up without me asking (still with a very sorrowful look on his face). It was the most I could do to not smile at him and let him off cleaning it up! So hopefully, fingers crossed, he'll stop doing it! Not only is it a waste of milk but its awful to clean up out of the carpet (i go over it after DS has done his cleaning bit!)

and herewith ends my mean/proud mummy moment!

MrsMiamla · 21/05/2010 22:08

really am off to bed now!

dizzydixies · 21/05/2010 22:14

ah bless him miamla! you've done a better job with him already than MIL has done with dh

tesco shop ordered for tomorrow morning between 10-12 as I'm not expecting to be away anywhere before that lol

and parp to you all with better waitroses than us although they're building a new one just up from the richfeckersinNewtonMearns farm so I'll get my fix there!!

Crispy - will you be leaving first thing, as in beforethepost with the lark?
and did MrSazz use anchiovies on the lamb? If he did I didn't taste them

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/05/2010 22:20

Dizz DH has said he will take his dongle so i can MN. I told him it would be wise to test all the gadgets

No anchovies on the lamb as i am not keen myself. Just checked with DH and it is a smear of oil, lemon rind, lemon juice, garlic and rosemary and leave to marinate for a few hours. Cook it on the BBQ but with the coals pushed to each side and best done in a baking tray rather than direct heat

Bless DS Miamla. Amazing and scary all in one go what they can pick up as to right and wrong

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 21/05/2010 22:26

Apparently the site oops recommended has site wide WIFI. Wise lady

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 21/05/2010 22:30

was going to cheat with the lamb and oven cook it, not that I don't trust DH's bbqing bless DH and his dongle - wise indeed !! although I meant the paper through the letterbox post

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/05/2010 22:37

Yes, we will leave before the post as it doesn't come until 2pm . Any reason i should be waiting?

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 21/05/2010 22:39

nope, no reason at all

dizzydixies · 21/05/2010 22:42

oh oh ooooohhh and I got the kids bargin crocs for £11 in costco - they only had black in D's size so I made DH scrabble about on the back of the floor till we found a red pair - she is now in love with her red shoes and is sporting them in some FB photos that I added! L's are lime green [bleurgh] but she adores them too and calls them her birthday shoes

DD1 has a ticket to her first school disco [meep] DH has volunteered as security on the door - full riot gear to be worn by him and no boys allowed apparently

dizzydixies · 21/05/2010 22:43

DD1 was in the paper again today and I only knew when someone told me even thought I'd bought it and skimmed it in the car - observation skills nil points for dizzy!

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/05/2010 22:49

LOL, you are rubbish at subterfuge

DD1 has red 'Mary Jane ' crocs and DD2 LOVES them. Seems to hate her own pink camaflouage (sp?) fake US ones though

Off to bed her before big road trip. Night all

dizzydixies · 21/05/2010 22:50

night - safe journey and happy camping
