Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
dizzydixies · 13/05/2010 17:49

lol - thank you all, you've made me smile

Oops - some fecker has opened my shop in St Andrews if only I had been loaded quicker here

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/05/2010 17:51

Dizzy how dare they Shall I organise the 'girls'???

dizzydixies · 13/05/2010 17:54

if you could please, just torch the place but leave enough fixtures and fittings intact so I can just waltz in and take it over

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 17:57

damn you dizz...i want cake now!! they look lovely

mw? oh you mean the girl who was meant to be phoning me today! (i feel that answers your question!)

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 17:58

cyteen well done on the presentation. sorry, completely forgot it was today

dizzydixies · 13/05/2010 18:02

really?!? she didn't phone I think a harshy worded message of complaint should be put together - shall await VG and her purring tones as mine mainly consist of swear words and insults

a friend of mine who had terrible SPD throughout all 4 of her pregnancies had her wee boy last week but I shall track her down and ask her for some advice for you - in the meantime can you self refer to the maternity physio for some decent attention & advice? they're normally pretty quick and I was due to see them last week and they still came to see me when I was in hospital to stress that I could still see them even though I'd lost the baby - worth a shot ?

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/05/2010 18:05

Miamla - our local hospital physio department run a hydrotherapy session for pregnancy esp. for those with SPD or it's symptoms - you just ring them directly and book.

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:08

you see, i'm not cross, i'm sure she'll ring tomorrow. i'm not going to complain about her, she's really stretched. she really shouldn't take on so many women but everyone requests her because she's so good and also because the alternative is a really really crap mw!

i'm probably going to regret it tomorrow but i just went for a walk with DS to the postbox. i knew he wouldn't walk all the way there and back so i brought the carrier with me. we had a lovely slow amble up there and then i slung him on my back for the walk home. was really lovely and i feel all calm and rested now. he seems happier for it as well so its a win win the look of from the guys/girls walking in the opposite direction when i put him on my back were a picture! to be fair it probably did look dodgy but DS is really good at hanging on to my neck now whilst i sort the straps out!

so do we get to see photos of your swishy new hair?

dizzydixies · 13/05/2010 18:10

no photos here - behave yourself, there is one on FB to get you all to stop nagging so thats your lot

have introduced you to SweetKitty on FB - she is an absolute doll and will give you any advice she can I'm sure

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:10

oooh hydrotherapy sounds wonderful. now you're talking!! i will investigate first thing in the morning (and will try and get self referral thing sorted too)

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/05/2010 18:11

Miamla - it will be like the looks I got in Oz carrying DD in the backpack when DH was next to me or carrying other things. She loves it and it is less stress on hips/back then the buggy.

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:11

why thank you

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:13

oops you're right, it really is less stress on the hips but thought i was imagining it because i was enjoying it so much!

(btw dizz..the thank you was for the intro, not for the lack of swishy hair photos!)

dizzydixies · 13/05/2010 18:14

I guessed

LadyGardenia · 13/05/2010 18:15

photos of your swishy new -

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:15

talking of pushchairs... has anyone here got a maclaren techno xt? i'm watching a 2nd hand one on ebay because our normal one is so heavy lugging it in and out of the car

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:16

LG i reckon you deserve a detention for that comment

dizzydixies · 13/05/2010 18:17

back of the class Lady

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:19

she's already at the back though!

LadyGardenia · 13/05/2010 18:21

she made me do it

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/05/2010 18:24

YAY - VG's back

On the Mclaren front - no we bought a cheapish one like this in a local shop for £90 (it was to go to the ILs as they find my buggy too heavy to push)also it was ever so slightly taller than the Mclaren and being a tightarse DH was not paying £150 on a stroller when we had a perfectly good travel system. We also have a £10 one from Tesco for in DH's car so there is always a pushchair in each car

LadyGardenia · 13/05/2010 18:25

Oh oh oh idea idea idea

dizzy instead of going to all the humungous expense and trouble and elf & safety and long lead times etc of opening a cafe / shop why don't you do a home delivery service operated entirely via t'interweb? dizzydelishies etc with fab website design, beautiful boxes for delivery, etc? Sorry I can't remember if this has been discussed for with you already.

RedLentil · 13/05/2010 18:26

Miamla, I can confirm that the techno xt is indeed ... a pushchair. I have only ever had one pushchair and this is it.

It isn't I imagine the most comfy thing in the world but it is a dream to fold and unfold and it uses a rolling motion to propel the child forward. There are handles and everything ....

Probably not the best person to ask.

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/05/2010 18:26

Did you sample the cakes Dizz?? I reckon you ought to do a lemon cake with Tequila icing to knock them off their pedestal!

MrsMiamla · 13/05/2010 18:29

the one on ebay is hardly used (a grandma apparently bought it for occasional use) and is currenlty £20

a baking book is a fabulous idea!
