poo! i lost another one. i hate ebay! everyone seems to use the sniper things now

its just not cricket

LadyGardenia · 15/05/2010 20:15

LOL at ebay blow by blow! Hope you are successful with this one MrsM!

DP and DS1 gone to rugby semi-final, DS2 gone to sleep, I am alone in the house with a lemon drizzle cake and a mountain of work.

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:16

ah! good for MrDizz.

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:17

that was for agreeing to accompanying him, not the clean undies bit!

LadyGardenia · 15/05/2010 20:17

x post on the ebay thing - sorry bout that!

Reversy Percy though I am sorry to say a quick Google revealed that it's also "a truly sickening sexual deviation" which should have you all racing to your keyboards. Dizzy - a possible temporary name there perhaps .

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:18

ooooh you meany! i absolutely love lemon drizzle cake!

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:20

as well as feeling sick, i'm also feeling a bit guilty about eating the percy and pals... my friend bought them for DS. i reckon he's too young for them

hmm, not convinced about the whole reversed thing!

LadyGardenia · 15/05/2010 20:32

They are a bit sickening when overscoffed all right. Don't diss the Reversies till you've tried em!

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:41

hmm, i think we can safely say i have indeed overscoffed

sounds like my mission for tomorrow is to find some reversies! or DH might fall for 'pea really fancies a reversey percy'

LadyGardenia · 15/05/2010 20:42

Yes Denise in the Royle Family - "Baby wants a Wagon Wheel!"

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:46

oooh wagon wheels! haven't had one of those in years. seem to remember being disappointed at the size of them though. they were definitely alot bigger when i was a child!

dizzydixies · 15/05/2010 20:49

bleurgh, I've eaten too much chocolate aero too

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:52

now chocolate, that's a whole different ball game! arse, just realised friend brought round a box of chocolates too. they're sitting in the kitchen....i can hear them calling me.....

dizzydixies · 15/05/2010 20:54

oh don't, I think I might be ill by-proxy and the shame of making Crispy disappointed in me is too much

MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 20:55

keep talking to me dizz.... we'll keep each other near the computers and away from the evil chocolate!

dizzydixies · 15/05/2010 20:57

lol, its a Mimala intervention

CrispyTheCrisp · 15/05/2010 21:04

Evening

Lovely day had by all but very tiring. On the train at 8 (girls both slept until after 7 which is a first for months ) and in London for 10.30. Went on the London Eye with gorgeous weather, although their ticketing and queuing system was shambolic which i am very embarassed about as an English person

Then had lunch at Wagamama's where DD1 ate most of my red thai curry , walked through St James's park to see all the ducks and wildfowl and on to visit Liz . Sadly she wasn;t at home so we watched the sentries changing guard and then on to Green Park. There is currently an exhibition of elephants (750 IIRC) all over London and the DD's loved climbing on them

On to tea at the Ritz which was a fab experience. I have to say i was SO proud of our girls who behaved impeccably - I do think there is something with the ambience that they know not to mess around. DD1 sat and ate ham/ smoked salmon sandwiches, scones with jam and supped on a cup of tea. DD2 ate a couple of sandwiches and a packet of mini cheddars . DD1 was obsessed with the loos (which were rather lovely) and demanded to go 4 times . DD2 accompanied us on one occasion and demanded to go on the loo too, so i can officially say she started her potty training at the Ritz

Lady i would love the DC's to remember our visit themselves, but sadly i think the photo's will have to do

Back home via a bit of shopping and both collapsed into bed at 8pm . Restorative wine on the menu for the grown ups

TS hope DD1's party was fab . And i know you are lying about getting into the pool with all the DC's

dizz loved the property porn. Sorry to hear the Euromillions have quashed that one

miamla re Ebay, we don't snipe, but have 2 windows open, one for bidding and one for refreshing. Then put in max bid in the last 5 seconds. always worked for us

pert hope you get a good nights rest and feel better tomorrow

oops sorry to hear your Hectorina removal plans have not met with her approval

vg pants about your new lady, but i'll guarantee the next one will be better

Probably x posted loads so will shut up now

Crispy - sounds FAB! and well done E on having great toilet taste

RedLentil · 15/05/2010 21:10

At 7, I was sometimes taken to Little Chef on route to random building sites where I got to drive the JCBs ... was well cool.

Sounds like a gorgeous day Crispy, and how lovely to have that fab memory of your dad MsGarden.

Cyteen, your dp should defo do stuff with those doodles. They are wonderful.

Feck, these Tidy Towns documents are an arse to write.

dizzydixies · 15/05/2010 21:14

Red, am delighted to heat that, I love the fact that the girls get to 'drive' the diggers on the farm but wondered if they would remember - I can't remember what I remember first if that makes ANY sense

CrispyTheCrisp · 15/05/2010 21:30

dizz i am exactly the same in that i cannot remember my first memory. Very frustrating

Amusing anecdote from the day: we were on the tube and a guy was trying to look cool wearing his baseball cap on back to front. DD1 says (pointing furiously) 'mummy, why has that man got his hat on back to front'

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 15/05/2010 21:32

and DD1 with her impecible taste in clothing to match DD2's toilet standards

I'm always very jealous of people with great memories, I know I did a lot of brilliant things am just not sure what - alcohol didn't addle that till I hit uni btw

CrispyTheCrisp · 15/05/2010 21:35

My neighbour can apparently remember looking out of the window from behind her cot bars, so probably about 2 yrs old

Makes me hope in a way that my DD's have as good a memory as me

OP posts:
MrsMiamla · 15/05/2010 21:36

my earliest memory was from when i was 18mths. i had no idea that's when it was til i managed to describe in alot of detail about the play room on the cruise my parents took me on at that age! Mum was amazed that I was able to describe exactly where the stairs were, that there was a bench at the bottom and that there were only toys in the play room..no furniture! I actually remember someone asking me who made my cardigan for me and proudly saying 'mummy'. Now DS is older than that, i'm quite amazed i can remember it at all. I remembered it being a nurse who asked me but apparently it was more likely to be a nursery worker!

so crisps...there is a chance they'll remember!
