We filled up a thread without even noticing!

Primary school outcome for dd today . They say that the emails will be sent out by 6pm (though may take longer to get through to us).

Just concerned about whether a few of your negative posts were really negative rather than just jokey, but glad to hear that you're fine .

Thought it might amuse, and obv keeps my same initials!

StarExpat · 06/05/2010 09:41

Whatever makes my mortgage payments not skyrocket will be fine with me... I don't even think I get to vote! I do absentee ballot for the US, though when it is time.

KSal · 06/05/2010 09:47

arg! CSWS I can't bear it! i'll have avert my eyes every time you post!!

happy birthday to Pistachio happy birthday to Pistachio la la la la la

50ftQueenie · 06/05/2010 09:49

I agree KSal, I feel queasy just looking at CSWS's name!

StarExpat · 06/05/2010 10:01

This is so interesting...
The way people here communicate about politics...
Where I am from (not all of America, just where I am from personally and the circles I've been in throughout my life there) I wouldn't have dared to say that to csws. I like it, it's very open and honest

KSal · 06/05/2010 10:28

a name like that invites comment

ConservativesShouldWinSurely · 06/05/2010 10:59

I think that ronshar should change to 'conshar' for the day in support too .

Happy birthday pistachio!

Dd seems ok so far today, so we're chancing the bench trip with both dc in tow, and meeting my parents there for lunch too (which is how we sell the long journey to dd).

StarExpat · 06/05/2010 11:00

ronshar · 06/05/2010 12:02

CSWS. I am in abit of a rut at the moment. This is the time I went to work full time with DD1 because I was so bored.
I am ok though. Thank you for noticing

I can admire your new name from afar but am afraid of the lynch mob on MNs. Very scary if you dare to dis the great and good labour party

Star we have a saying in this country. At a dinner party dont discuss politics or religion if you dont want a fight breaking out.
i take that to mean you can say what you want just expect to defend yourself

coconutfeet · 06/05/2010 12:39

Ugh CSWS, you've put me off my lunch with that name.

I hope your dd is Ok for the bench trip. Can we see this fabulous bench you're looking at? I can't imagine what a £600 bench is like.

I've just got back from the polling station and was very depressed to see that we have a National Front candidate running in our area. Not even BNP but NF. Awful.

StarExpat · 06/05/2010 13:05

I don't even know what NF is... (DH would be ashamed of me for not knowing) but if it's worse than BNP I just cannot imagine. Who in the world supports BNP? Sorry if I've offended anyone on here.

StarExpat · 06/05/2010 13:06

And yes, I'd like to see a £600 bench, too.
I hope you're feeling better soon, Ronshar. Do you think you want to go back to work?

coconutfeet · 06/05/2010 14:17

I shouldn't worry too much about offending any BNP supporters Star.

National Front are even worse.

StarExpat · 06/05/2010 15:19

Oh, in America, we call that the KKK.

ConservativesShouldWinSurely · 06/05/2010 15:23

dh did one of those surveys like I posted on fb last night and it said that he was most aligned with bnp . He did my one last night and excluded bnp as he would never vote for them, and it said ukip . He has of course voted the same way that I will be doing.

We have ordered the bench. Will link later when on mac rather than phone. Also found a present for the new baby to get them .

Now just hoping that ds goes to sleep so that we can have a peaceful journey home. .

50ftQueenie · 06/05/2010 17:35

I come out every time, which I LOVE, however, although my heart said Green my head didn't.

I am feeling a bit down today. Time of the month broodiness has kicked in......

ConservativesShouldWinSurely · 06/05/2010 17:36

this is our new bench . and this is what the baby has bought for dd and ds.

50ftQueenie · 06/05/2010 17:41

I am LOVING the elephant rocker! That is really cool. Might have to get one for M (I think DS might be a bit big, not that it would stop him).

ConservativesShouldWinSurely · 06/05/2010 17:50

You might be out of luck there 50ft. They had the elephant and a dolphin there on display which were the last 2 I think. The dolphin would actually have been more suitable as lower at the front, but we didn't think of that until we had chosen and ordered the other, and the dolphin one was a in a little worse condition, although prob nothing that a good dust and wash off wouldn't sort out.

50ftQueenie · 06/05/2010 17:52

Ah, I'm sure I can find something similar. But it's given me the idea so many thanks for that! I need more garden stuff this year as the slide is too big for M, too small for DS and too worn out for anyone really!

coconutfeet · 06/05/2010 19:25

Great present, CSWS! Lovely bench too. Presumably it'll last for years and years, unlike the £50 one that I want from Ikea!

Ooh, I've just remembered. It's your birthday today isn't it Pistachio! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Are you having a nice day?
