OMG they have a sweeps festival. Like a line of women lined up, overdue, and waiting for a sweep.
Again I am glad I didnt join NCT. I have needed sweeps for 2 of my pregnancies. Not sure if I would have been up for a festival to celebrate

off to facebook to shout.

ronshar · 05/05/2010 19:31

They are in my profile. If that helps?

StarExpat · 05/05/2010 19:52

HA! Oh my, is that what a sweeps festival is???
That would be my absolute HELL.

Ronshar. The video is not on your profile. Not under photos, not on your wall, not under videos. You are imagining it. It's not there.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/05/2010 19:53

They really aren't ronshar. You don't even have a 'videos' tab on your profile. In the bit on the left it says 'view videos of s (2)', which suggests that you are in 2 videos, but when you click on that it says that you aren't tagged in any videos yet.
If you select the video that you can see then can you check the security settings as to who it is viewable by?

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/05/2010 19:54

NO star!! Ronshar was joking!! Though I have no idea what the sweeps festival actually is.

OP posts:
StarExpat · 05/05/2010 19:58

can you even imagine?????
ew yuck. ow. vomit.

ronshar · 05/05/2010 20:02

Ah Star I was going to ask if you wanted to go to one.

CSWS, that is where they are, in the video thingy. So if I check the security settings on the video bit then I should be able to show you. God I hate this nonsence.

StarExpat · 05/05/2010 20:06

maybe you wouldn't hate it so much if it were nonsense
I'm rude.

ronshar · 05/05/2010 20:07

Right I have sent one to you CSWS. And posted them both on to my page. I think. Has that worked?
I hope this effort is worth it. Only 15 seconds of small girl going round a bar

ronshar · 05/05/2010 20:08

Star do you know how many times I changed the spelling before I gave up.
Thank you for pointing out the correct spelling. All ways happy for spelling help.

StarExpat · 05/05/2010 20:10

I'm really laughing out loud at "all ways".... I know you've done that on purpose! You're hilarious!!
I can't see the video. I give up. But, I'll say - it's truly amazing that she can do giants already. That's really awesome!

StarExpat · 05/05/2010 20:11

But I have seen what you had for dinner... no vid, though.

ronshar · 05/05/2010 20:13

Bollocks.

50ftQueenie · 05/05/2010 20:41

Evening. Right the Sweeps festival is a Dickensian thingy. Idiots People do Morris Dancing, sell Kentish Ale, Kentish Hog roast and well, just a load of Kentish bollocks in general. It is a big deal in the Towns and people actually come from all over the country to attend. For me it just used to get in the way when I wanted to go to the pub. Anyway, I was manning the NCT tent. It rained so much nobody came in but we did get to have a good old chat which was lovely. The tutorial was good, lots of self reflecting rubbish which I must get better at and learn to value.... What did make me laugh was talking about mis-conceptions about the NCT. One woman said "that we're all from a particular social class"..... I was sat in a room with the most achingly middle class women. But, we weren't a bunch of hippies!

Oh and DS has had his practice SATS tests today..... He is one of three that did the level three maths paper! Good lad.

ronshar · 05/05/2010 20:49

Well done to your brilliant DS.
Mis-conception about NCT. Surely not

WEll done O.

We have a poorly dd tonight. She threw up in the car on the way back from school and continued to throw up all evening. Sent her to bed with a bucket, a packet of wipes and some water and told her not to disturb us unless it's really essential .

OP posts:
50ftQueenie · 05/05/2010 21:20

Hee hee! Once they're older there isn't much you can do anyway is there CSWS? DS quietly vomited into a bucket all night and didn't disturb us at all. Hope she's feeling better soon, but don't be surprised if she's wiped out for longer than normal. DS was ill for a whole week.

DS's head has now swollen and he is feeling very cocky. Nothing gets past him, I was trying to down play it a bit but there are no flies on him!

Pistachio - We had to do a Johari's Window.... I'm not too good at talking about my feelings without getting embarrassed! Guess I have to learn to deal with it.

Pistachio. At least you knew what it was. More than I did!!

Poor P CSWS. Nothing worse than feeling sick like that.

50ft, soon you too will have to put up with a small child telling you that they know more than you and generally looking down their noses at you!

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/05/2010 21:47

ronshar - are you ok?

OP posts:
50ftQueenie · 05/05/2010 22:02

Well, there was an offer of books to take away with us at the end of the session (I had to run as my mum gave me a lift.... how old am I?) and I was only really interested in the biology ones! No reflective practice for me.... not yet anyway.

Ronshar - I get that a fair bit already. DS is such a smart arse. I have warned him he'll get beaten up at school when he's older if he talks to bigger boys like that.

ronshar · 05/05/2010 22:37

CSWS other than regreting eating all the pizza I'm fine.
Why?

ronshar · 05/05/2010 22:39

50ft. I tell DD that she has to worry about me beating her up. Although she has conceded that I know more than her about everything else but Maths.
