I am exhausted
I will be ed if I make it through the day today.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2010 14:02

Have you been sleeping badly star?

Am off for some acupuncture tonight to try to ease this terrible sciatica and try to get the baby to turn. Anyone ever had any before?

StarExpat · 26/05/2010 14:08

csws Q wakes up a LOT in the night, is still in our room as we only have one room and is in our bed for a majority of it. When he wakes, he fusses, tosses about, climbs all over me, wants me to hold him with me sitting up (or sometimes standing!) for a few minutes... it's a nightmare.
He does go off to sleep at 7/ 7.30, though - and sleeps soundly until about 10/11 with only a few minor wakes which he settles himself back from nicely.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2010 14:12

You really do need a new house where he has a room of his own don't you star?! No wonder you like to take a nap with Q on days when you're not working. Is it half term for you next week? Any more viewings since the old lady?

OP posts:
StarExpat · 26/05/2010 14:21

That sunday nap (and sometimes saturdays!) is my saving grace. Half term next week for dh, not me. We break up on 18th June, though - so not long for us Bank holiday will be a nap day if we don't go on a day trip.

Had 1 more viewing. More coming on Saturday... I just want to sell and buy and be done with it but there's so much to it...

KSal · 26/05/2010 16:18

you'll get there star, you're in the process now at least. Your night times do sound tough, its no wonder you are tired.

hope the acupuncture works for you CSWS, DH has had it for toothache, which he said worked wonders... not quite the same thing tho!

my client got through the audit fine, which is a huge relief! feel like a massive weight has been lifted, which is a big deal for me after work got so stressful during my last pregnancy.

CF, that is very sweet, i think i would probably well up if emma did that.

oh, keep that baby breech and go for the elective cs!

I know someone who went in and the drs tried to manually turn the baby with their hands and she said it was not successful and absolutely more painful than childbirth (she had another ds previously).

Thanks ksal and pistachio and csws for the sympathies. If all else fails, Q may start sleeping in the garden

I think most people would agree with that, pistachio - that it's better for baby to be born naturally. I'm just an odd duck

coconutfeet · 26/05/2010 18:47

Good luck with the acupuncture CSWS. I've had a fair bit of it in my time and thoroughly recommend it. In fact I've just started going again in the hope it'll speed up the TTC process for us. It's a nice excuse to lie down uninterrupted for 40 mins anyway.

Sympathies Star - I imagine it's so much easier to settle (or at least ignore for a bit and see if they can do it yourself) if your child is in another room. S has suddenly gone from hideous sleeper to sleeping through from 7 till about 5 or 6am for the last week. We've done nothing different, he just seems to have reached that stage (although I'm sure it won't last). Fingers crossed Q will do the same for you soon.

We've just found out that the neighbours need £1000 from us to pay for getting our roof fixed (we share the costs for the building). Arggh. We've got loads jobs that need doing at the moment and everything costs either £500 or £1000.

cf you give me hope. Will you be moving soon since you are TTC for number 2? How horrible having to spend so much on your current flat.

I hope the acupuncture went well, csws

myjob - natural breech

dh has told me little lies/fibs about a few things tonight. It's making me crazyyyyyy!! Why bother? Why not just say the truth? It's little and insignificant stuff that matters not for anything, but I know he's making it up and he stands by what he said and it's just silly!!
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's lying. he knows this. ugh.
I think I'm just tired.

Eeeek! No Star, CSs are horrible! My ELCS nearly finished me off! Glad the result was negative. I think I would have heard the explosion from here if it had been positive! I hate lying too. DH does that too, tells silly lies like a child and it really pisses me off.

CSWS - Hope that naughty dd2 (I am still convinced the baby is another girl) turns soon. I think they start out as they mean to go on, Martha really made me suffer when I was pregnant with her.

CF - Aw it always seems to happen like that when paying out for stuff, lots of things all go wrong at the same time. Hope that's the last of them.

KSal - Glad you're able to relax now.

Hello Myjob & Pistachio!

I am KNACKERED so have nothing coherent to say tonight......

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2010 22:24

Well I, the reflexologist I saw on hols, and now the acupuncturist all disagree with you 50ft, as we all think it's a boy!

C-Sec would be an absolute nightmare for me star. Can you imagine living where I do, having a dh working abroad, 3 children, and not being able to drive or do anything much for 6 weeks?!

Yay for better sleep for you and S cf, but bah for the roof costs!

lol at pistachio asking if the baby is breech at the moment. No, I just thought it would be nice if it turned so that it was . Scan last week showed breech, and haven't felt it turn and movements still the same, so every reason to believe that it still is yes (I felt ds turn every one of the 3 times that he did it after 31 weeks).

Star my love. Turn off your laptop and go to bed. You are suffering from exhaustion(cant spell it) Dont look for an argument when you dont really want one. Good news about the test though

CF. The joy of having a joint ownership thingy.
Have you tried reflexology? I had it once and conceived W the next cycle, following a year of MC and ftc. Didnt bloody work when I was trying to get labour started though

Pistachio. You are supposed to read the book not flick through it Good luck for your assessment results.

Myjob. Have you started to gather up B's school uniform yet? Not long to go. Not to panic you or anything

CSWS. When will the drs try to drag you in for C-section? Especially if you are breech. You will have to be really strong to not get sucked in.

Ksal. Thats good news about your client. You dont need that kind of stress hanging over you.

50ft, when shopping with H a few weeks ago, I was treated to a whole host of compliments. The best one being, mummy when you take your bra off your boobs hang down. Or your bum is really wobbly, or your feet are scabby.
Lovely child!!

Hello pepper, good to see you.

I ended up in Karen Millen. I am crap at links but I am the very proud owner of some beautiful sparkly strappy sandals and a coral colour dress. Not sure about the dress as G turned her nose up and Dh wasnt forthcoming with the praise either!!
Would you wear a white dress to a wedding??

ronshar · 26/05/2010 22:28

Poor new born baby murdered on the news.

That last message took me over an hour and a half to type. Watching Desparate Housewives. John Barrowman starts next week, he is a baddie!

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2010 22:35

Oh ronshar - I watched House tonight from Sunday. Have you seen it yet?

Next consultant appt not til 38 weeks, so they won't be rushing to get me in for c-sec before that. Consultant actually v relaxed about it at 34 weeks. Gives me a bit of time to do the moxibustion at home and try to get things moving.

Oh yes I did indeed. Marvelous.
I havent watched the last couple of Lost yet so still dont know how it finishes.

Thats good. It makes all the difference if your Consultant is relaxed. Last thing you need is the pressure of making a rushed decision.
So lots of bouncing and lying upside down then
