LG keep repeating he'll be fine, he'll be fine...

No1 so lovely to have you back and see family really rallying around you and to hear of dd and ds getting on so well. The cottage also sounds wonderful and can't wait to see some pictures. What kind of charger do you need. Only asking in a selfish way because it would be lovely to see you on here more often and also because I seem to have acquired a fair few redundant ones that are all still in a box from our move as I can't find what they belong to and so are obviously no longer required.

Thanks for asking after DS - he's fine and loves the new place. Fortunately he didn't get HF&M but has still been waking up ridiculously early (5am this morning). I think I'm going to have to sleep in his room to see if there is something actually waking him up.

TS hope that Mother's Day improved for you.

LG think it was you who was asking about books for the little ones. I thought this was quite good (for older ones too) www.puffin.co.uk/static/grownups/downloads/handbook.pdf

CrispyTheCrisp · 10/05/2010 08:33

Dough made, cake in oven (Lady you were a tad early as i had to wait until a reasonable hour to scrounge eggs from my neighbour with chickens ), toppings sorted. I will saunter in at 9.15 oozing organised mummyness

Lady I am SURE DS2 will be fine today - have you asked for a day diary - food, naps, nappies, activities? My CM does it and it is a good record i think

Spring DD2 woke at 5.45 and is now having her first nap . I remember vividly with DD1 doing sleep training - 'still night night' and lay her back down, repeating ad infinitum. However with DD2 it just isn't possible as she would wake DD1 and then i would have 2 overtired toddlers to deal with.

Slightly sad day here as it is a year ago today my friend was killed on her motorbike . Still, the sun is shining and she would never forgive her friends for moping so good memory thoughts and smiles at shared capers it is

Right, must go get dressed.....

hotterpotter · 10/05/2010 10:05

No1!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello I have gone to text you about 8 times this week and it has either been too late, too early or I have just got distracted Glad things are going OK, just let me know when/where and I'll be over to nosey advise on the decor of your new cottage. Massive garden / paddock did you say?... Mini MN camping festival anyone???

Sazz hope today isn't too sad. Well done on the pre-9am FBGing [impressed]

Wotcha springa glad to hear you are all settling in well, but 5am even once would kill me these days, I really hope you find out what's doing it and stop it! Bet your dad is still grinning too

VG I'm sure DS will be fine. Hope work goes OK and you are back home to a beaming boy before you know it

cyteen glad you ave got the gardening bug we too had a fab day yesterday, out in the garden all day doing various long-neglected tasks. I am aching today but the runner beans are finally in, and the crispy frog we found dried up by the edge of the pond has had a decent christian burial on the orders of DD

oops I wouldn't let DH loose on my garden EVER. I have seen the rough job he does on the lawn grass [ouch]

Pert have you put your house up for sale yet? Is it on Rightmove [nosey] I think I have decided to share a permanent car park space at work, the extra quids more than compensated by the extra 2 hours a week I get to spend at home, but it just means that I have so man more places to look for a new house, I am getting bamboozled by choice Not helped by the fact that the garden is at its best at this time of year, all full of blossom and unfurling leaves.

Miamla your brother is a twat

Can't go back any further to catch up, as friend coming in a minute and floor still needs hoovering. Soz, but Hi all

hotterpotter · 10/05/2010 12:08

Hotter watches the tumbleweed drift through the thread

QueenofDreams · 10/05/2010 12:50

Hey everyone.

no1 great to see you back here. Lovely to hear your DC are doing well. All the best and come back soon!

Sooooooo tired. And Seb's vomiting has now turned to diorrhoea. Wooopee. So had to clean a poo covered toddler this morning (had to stick him in the bath as he was just totally coated in the vile stuff. It didn't look or smell at all normal tbh. Taken him back to doctors today who said it should start settling down in the next day or so

miamla your brother sounds absolutely delightful my oh my.

TwilightSurfer · 10/05/2010 13:56

Queen that's a good sign in my book. Dump the top then dump the bottom. All's out in the end. Have you offered him any probiotics to help boost his good gut bacteria? I wouldn't be surprised if he's shows spots in a day or so. Just giving you the head's up in advance. Tummy viruses sometimes end that way. The spots show the last of the crap exiting the body and is not a sign they are contagious, it actually means the opposite.

All I wanted for mother's day was my truck detailed. It took ME all damn day but I did it. Not really talking to DH at the moment. He knows I'm pissed.

Off to the vet with my little fur ball who can whip any cat's ass in the county. Sadly though it's not without consequences.

QoD Fingers crossed for a speedy respite from all the bodily fluids.

Miamla Wow, your family puts the fun in dysfunctional eh? Why would your 'D'Bro not want to spend time with his old ma and his only(?) nephew? Not that that's an option now I guess because he's pissed you off too much to let him near T.

No1!!!!!!!! Yay for new life, yay for DC's new relationships with your mum (wonder what she was so scared of), yay for you having a bit more headspace soon to find yourself again sometime. Keep up the good work .

Did a big Asda shop, am starting Operation Sort DD's Poo. Am fed up with 3prs of pants a day and dried rabbit nuggets in her bed, as of course is she, think she has a fissure too because it's never totally clean so now it hurts and she's too scared to try half the time. So, have bought shedloads of prunes and fruit and will be forcing even more drinks down her. If that doesn't work will try GP again.

oopsandbabycoconut · 10/05/2010 16:39

Afternoon all

I really fancied an icecream so have given DD a cone wit ha small amount of icecream in it ans she is sitting on the sofa looking like a cat who has the cream - she didn't really know about ice cream until today! We have been doing all sorts of nice things today as DH is at work until 9ish tonight.

QOD - hope tummybug passes soon.

Buckets - I know from experience how painful a fissure can be expecially if it is not cleaned properly with a wetwipe everytime. Can you get her to have a little fybogel daily until it has healed? I also found that cutting out dairy helped ease the constipation. okay, enough about my bottom. Can you get her a water bottle that you fill in the morning at home and she needs to have finished it by bedtime.

TS - hope kitty is okay and vet trip wasn't too expensive.

Crispy - how was toddlers?

HP - helllloooooooooooooo

GladioliBuckets · 10/05/2010 17:29

Thanks Oops.

Time to make you all . My lovely lovely parents have just booked a week at this beach house for all their children and grandchildren next August. Will be a FULL house with 16 of us in all and Kurt will spend his 3rd birthday in France!

TwilightSurfer · 10/05/2010 18:28

Buckets experience with fissure issue here too. Wipes and VASOLINE are very important. I also recommend witch hazel wipes for a few days. Poor baby.

Oops thanks but I'd say $200US isn't really cheap. He's contracted an autoimmune disease thru all the fighting so wounds will now require anti-b's because his body is weak. He's such an awesome cat. I'm going to think about the idea of moving him inside permanently.

On a happy note, I got a check from the folks at Tylenol. They recalled a bunch of products two weeks ago. I had FIVE bottles that had to be binned. I complained via their website and today received a check for $31.20US (that about covers the 5 bottles).

Hey girls, feel like I've been missing ages but it's only 2 days since i posted last

Fab to hear you are well No1, as are the littlies . I agree with hots, we should come to your new place and have a piss up renovation party

miamla I thought my brother was a knob but yours is equally as socially appealing What a twat

oops you are truly married to a saint! He sends you for naps all the time, trims your lady garden...is he real, or do you inflate him every morning?

cyteen glad J is better. Loving the red dwarf too . I may just have to appoint myself morale officer . High 5 for the presentation/dissertation!

TS belated Happy Mother's Day for yesterday, hope it got better?

LG/mimala did you check noone got buried under your lumpy lawns?!

Today my biggest boy is 6 years old. This time 6 years ago I was lying in my hospital bed with a 7 hour old baby. I was in utter shock and feeling mad as a bastard (that'll be AND then ). And look at us now! Still mad as a bastard . Seriously though, Tom is gorgeous and is convinced he will marry me when he is 18. For our honeymoon we are going skydiving, apparently

GladioliBuckets · 10/05/2010 20:10

Aha, my plan is working already! Gave DD 6 dried apricots to eat before bed last night and now there is a poo the size of a cucumber that won't flush! Have squirted Cillit Bang on it as an experiment seeing how corrosive that is LOL.

CaptainCaveman · 10/05/2010 20:12

lol buckets at superturd!

oopsandbabycoconut · 10/05/2010 20:18

Yay for Poo in the GB household!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MAXICAVEBOY - did you have cake??

DD in bed, I made Sazzles (Where has she got to? She dissapeared about the same time as Vintage?? Are they one and the same???) Salsa verde, so it's for dinner before I freeze the remains. DD loves the stuff and ate 2 huge bowlfuls again this evening. She has started to be openly defiant to DH which I have to say serves him right for not being more firm! He told her to not jump on the unopen packet of crisps she looked at him, put on foot on the packet, he said'DD I have told you not to do that, give Papa the crisps' she looked at him and smiled turned around carried the crisps to the hall and jumped on the packet. I nearly wet myself but he had to sort it out as I hid from them both. He made her sweep them up without eating any and took the packet away. I did have to say that even though she comes across as very grown up she is still only 20months and a baby.

Back later

cyteen · 10/05/2010 20:42

Happy birthday TomCave!

Buckets rofl at the cuke-poo Have you tried pouring a bucket of water down the bog as you flush? Failing that, I used to know someone who bragged (yes, really) about the time he did a crap the size of two Coke cans and had to chop it up with an unbent coat hanger in order to get it to go.

And on that note, farewell

GladioliBuckets · 10/05/2010 20:45

I am considering taking a knife to it if the corrosive liquids don't work.

CrispyTheCrisp · 10/05/2010 21:10

LOL @ minioops . I have two like that . DD's call the salsa verde pesto and love it too. I made a new batch at teh weekend as i had plenty of fresh mint and parsley growing. I freeze it in ice cube trays and then pop one into cooked pasta and it coats it down and cools it simultaneously. Genius

buckets yay for DD's superpoo. DD1 usually has 2 or 3 apricots after her tea and i can vouch for the fact that she is very regular

Happy birthday monsieur cavey

Playgroup pizza went very well (obv preschoolers not too discerning) and DD had a brilliant swimming lesson this avo . I went to pilates this evening and worked my tummy muscles so hard i felt sick afterwards

ataraxis · 10/05/2010 21:16

Hi all - please switch on to bbc2. I was feeling a bit low about life, work and everything not 30 mins ago. Now I am seeing the funny side of it all...

ataraxis · 10/05/2010 21:19

OK - now on to catch up

Happy birthday caveyboythemaxter

buckets glad dd has had bowel movement extraordinaire - hope it has flushed by now (cutting up with a coathanger - YUK!)

hi crispysazz - v impressed with your early morning bakeoff.

Oh - Terry Christian having the audacity to call anyone else a twat?!

ataraxis · 10/05/2010 21:23

miamla read your other thread and on this. I too have the pleasure of a less than selfless brother - but he is made to look positively angelic by yours

On the lawn front, we turfed ours in september with various bumps and stuff (on the basis we couldn't be arsed to try to make a bowling green) - it has settled reasonably well now and the bumps (which were significant) are no where near as obvious. Hope that's of some comfort.

loti good to hear you sounding so strong in yourself. You are doing fabulously

no1 great to hear that life is so good for you now.

ataraxis · 10/05/2010 21:26

oops nuff said!

LadyGardenia · 10/05/2010 21:26

Boak at this thread gals!

Thanks for minding ds2 for me, he was unharmed though cagey when I got in!

Ouf, shattered - ten hours of work straight as opposed to my normal 3 hours here 4 hours there. I am out of condition!!!

ataraxis · 10/05/2010 21:27

See now, I finally manage to get kids in bed, dh out, thought i would have a chat with the truckers and you are all avoiding me off doing something else.

ataraxis · 10/05/2010 21:28

oh 'kin hell it's orville, spit and roland rat.

ataraxis · 10/05/2010 21:37
