And sorry I do realise some are only turning 14 mths and some are nearly 16mths etc,etc......apologies!

All officially toddlers now though i think (well 120's H and HKZ's J are pulling up/taking steps now I think, think mostly everyone walking of some sort!) Scary thought!

Room sounds lovely DOG

Helllooooooo Pat

Gettng stressed searchng for car insurance . I hate scrabbling about trying to save £20. Bah!!

moosemama · 24/04/2010 22:09

Hope you appreciate me waving my phone around and standing on one leg Books! I don't always get texts straight away as there signal is really patchy in our house and you can have a signal one minute only to have it completely disappear mid text without you moving your phone.

I am rather embarassingly excited about that website. I was sorely tempted by the insomnia oil, but dh has just suggested opening the bottle of red in the kitchen would probably have the same effect.

Dds nodding antics sound so cute. My dd's new trick is saying 'Eeeooowww!' every time she sees a cat. Actually she says it for any dogs other than ours as well. I think she thinks ours are the only dogs in the world and all other small furry things are cats.

Haven't worn leggings since 1980 summat. I have terrible wonky legs.

What sort of skirt are you looking for Tree?

I was hankering after reliving my hippier look for the festy, but everything I've chosen seems ridiculously expensive when I add it up and I'd probably never wear it again. I do however want a huuuuge thick poncho cardy with a hood to wear over dd in the sling in the evenings. Found a lovely one on ebay then missed it, it was relisted and I forgot again and some other person got it for 99p! I was so cross with myself.

moosemama · 24/04/2010 22:11

Tree, dh has just said that Privilege was by far the cheapest insurance company for him. He got his quote through confuse.com.

PatTheHammer · 24/04/2010 22:22

Am sat here in my leggings now, mmmmmmmmmmmm so comfy

How annoying about the poncho moosey, I hate it when that happens. Just picked up a little tikes cosy coupe that I won for £9 on ebay though, WHAT A BARGAIN!!!!!! been looking for ages for a cheapo one as they are fifty bloody quid new DS loves them so thats him sorted for ours and hours of mischief for the summer.

Oh, and my house is like that with texting too, I have to point phone at the window.....or nothing happens

Dog- you take it easy. Room sounds lovely, how exciting about house and car and all. I am just waiting for my last Laura Ashley bits (off Aunt that gets 40% off) to complete DD's butterfly look. Also just purchased a handmade sign from notonthehighstreet.com to complete.

not sure where I am getting the money from yet, as still skint....got my hair done today as well...Ho-hum!

Books- school hols is a great idea, next half term is right at end of may I think. I love full-body nodding and head-shaking, it is sooooooooooooooo cute! Sorry about DD's self-weaning, I wish DS would, he is more bloody keen than ever, despite my best efforts

Tree- I thought there were a multitude of 'helpful' websites each with their own hideous advert, that did that sort of thing for you nowadays? Are you not working full-stop now then, or just a temporary break?

Ah but Pat you are young and svelte and can carry them off. Me? I am sat here in one of my 3 pairs of thick black yoga/jogging trousers. They hide a mutlitude of sins, thank goodness.

Weirdly, in my house we have absolutely no signal near the windows. Best bed is the middle of the back of the sofa about at foot and a half up or some vague spot about six and a half foot up in the air in the middle of the living room.

Books, dh has settled on a choice of two proper vintage 'house-shaped' frame awnings on ebay. here and here. Well one is an awning, technically the first one is actually just a frame tent, but would do for us to sleep in so we could use the bigger modern awning as a party room. Personally, I think they are really ugly, but can see the whole veedub style appeal for dh and orange is his favourite colour. I really wanted this for the party room and us to sleep in our existing awning, but its too expensive. Harrumph!

treedelivery · 24/04/2010 22:38

I've fallen out with confused.com. They timed out my session just as I had decided to buy the insurance. I had got sidetracked by mn.

Have skirt I love, it's http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BNIP-GORGEOUS-BODEN-BLUE-FLOWER-PRINT-SKIRT-SIZE-18-L_W0QQitemZ370367280281QQc mdZViewItemQQptZWomensClothing?hash=item563b9c3499 this but brown and black. It's qute fitted across hips which is good as that's my slim bit. I need more stuff though. I always look like I'm either going to work in an offce, or going to a relaxed wedding. I need to loosen up a bit!

Sadly only one supermarket around here does clothes, and they only do basic cotton tops and what have you.

Having lusty urged towards this entre outfit from Toast, but there are several issues.

a] those churidar legging thinges aren't in stock until June
b] they only go up to large - worrying
c] they mention how tight they are around calves and ankles. If they were too tight I'd weep and feel a hefer.
d] the outfit price represents one months spends in this house, for all entertainments, kids outings, shopping trips, and a good slab of our food budget too!

Really like the needlecord tunic though, and those trouser thingies could be the answer to an awful lot of problems
Off to New Look I go!

Thats a mare about the cardi thing Moose. Bugger. There are the sling wearng poncho's on bespokebabyroom. They are in sale too, think £20. No hood though, but I have a prototype and it rocks!

moosemama · 24/04/2010 22:39

Dh is sitting here drawing zombies whilst listening to and watching Nick Cave on the music on demand channel. Obviously, he is going through his 'dark' period at the moment.

Actually he's just fed up because his best mate has found a new job and is leaving next week. It has prompted him to start looking for a new job himself though, he is wasted in the current one and really hates it there as well.

treedelivery · 24/04/2010 22:43

Am working. On annual leave this week but back in the week for a longday, then at the weekend. On 2 long shifts [at work 12.25 hours, paid for 11.5]. I work nghts, weekends and all sorts. Usually in same week! The day and then a night mean I am totally floored for the next 2-3 days, even dh noticed and he never notices anything.

Oh well.

Hardly seem to see DH or dd1. I always always work one of the weekend days - which seems to be the only time dd1 is about and in a great mood. After school is...er.....edgy for all of us. Mostly me as H has totally knackered me out by then.

moosemama · 24/04/2010 22:46

Like the skirt, Tree and the Toast outfit is lovely. I bought a second hand silk dress from Toast a couple of years ago and it was huge, much bigger than the size it said it was so I wouldn't worry about the size of the leggings.

How do you wear those ponchos with a sling? Wouldn't the baby be completely inside? I was looking a cardy type ponchos with front zips or buttons so she could pop her head out and wear her own poncho if she was awake. Most of the normal ponchos seem to high up in the neck, ditto the rain ponchos.

treedelivery · 24/04/2010 22:48

DOG - tell me of your house move. Sorry, lots I have to catch up on!!

Moose - I hope he has a fruitful search. It's just a big bugger that looking is almost as soul destroying a bad job! t nearly drove us to despair when dh was looking.

Work. God it's soooooo stressful isn't it. It does for me I must say. The older I get the more I realise I will never get better at managing the stress. Lots of things about me change, but the effect of work on me - never.
Sleepless nights, anxiety and moods a plenty.

I'm a realy joy!

Can someone email me or facebook me or something with HKZ's sponsership lnk?

Ta

Not looking for anything books. There really isn't anything else I can do, I'm trained for this and I get quite well paid for it. No other units of working patterns to be had n this neck of the woods - besides this is normal for my work. This is how it is. I just have to learn to live with it and not let the kids feel it. Might take a little practice!

missjackson · 24/04/2010 22:59

Have only skimmed last page... agree toast sizes come up super large so you will be fine tree - also they have brilliant sales with practically everything in it so I always wait for them.

pat yey for the coupe, N loves them too, is that the one with the door? He always goes crazy for that at playgroup. 9 quid is super bargain.

When I have time I will do proper catch up and look at all these lovely girly rooms that are going on... sounds like heaven to me.

Busy weekend here with guests and family too - my 4 wk old niece is here - absolutely gorgeous but boy, it reminds you of the hard work a newborn is. Strangely didn't make me feel broody at all. But N is so much fun at the moment. Then went off with DH to try to round up 25 crazy young horses to worm them - he ended up getting a proper kicking in the butt, luckily for him as it's the most fleshy part of him but ouch! Took hours and in the end I had to leave him to it as it was 7.30pm and well past N's dinnertime - bailed out to my Mum's, just in time for this amazing roast chicken with 8 bulbs of garlic - yes, I stink .

moosemama · 24/04/2010 23:01

I am the same with stress Tree. I was told by my therapist years ago (PND with ds2) that it only takes you be properly burned out by stress once in your life for your body to become oversensitised and find further stress difficult to manage.

For me it was my first job. Took on far more that I should have at a very young age (PA to the Chairman of a manufacturing firm at the age of 19 and expected to practically run the company for him). I ended up collapsing and being diagnosed with ME or PVS. I was bedbound for months and had to have complan meals etc to build my strength back up. I can still remember turning up for work, looking up the stairs, thinking I just can't get up there and my legs going out from under me - you should have seen my bosses' face (he was coming down the stairs at the time) he panicked sent someone running outside to call dh (then dbf) back and called an ambulance. I was so .

I have been unable to manage stress effectively ever since really. Apparently its something to do with the body going into panic mode and releasing too many stress hormones, which in turn deplete the immune system, heighten anxiety, interfere with sleep patterns and generally screw you up.

I am resigned to a life of low key, boring jobs now I think. Every now and then I have aspirations to try and do something with my life (eg the dietician idea recently) but then I think about the reality of it all and realise it would all end in disaster.

See, I am a joy too! At least we can be joyful together!

moosemama · 24/04/2010 23:04

Night Books.

treedelivery · 24/04/2010 23:07

God that rings totally true Moose.

That's exactly it, one slight bi of work pressure [usually from staff, itcan be a bit like the army ] and it all spirals away from me into a big dust cloud. Yet really if I look at 'it', it is nothing. But I can't get my brain to acknowledge that .

It's very odd. Yet actually the unit I am in is lovely, it's personal and the staff seem supportve and friendly. I need to get over myself!

Ooo good tip for Toast sale missJ. Are they generous sizes then? They will need to be!

Looking at Tesco now. It's a far cry from cotton tops which is all the York one seem to sell! Not sure what role this could play in my school-run-and-a-trp-to-garden-centre life

treedelivery · 24/04/2010 23:10

Oh rofl www.clothingattesco.com/womenswear/F+F-Lace-body/invt/cb011211

The thought of me in one of those.....I remember them. I looked a bugger then and I was 16 and a size 10-12.

moosemama · 24/04/2010 23:22

Oh, but you could wear one lace glove with it and tie another piece of lace in your hair! lol

I am so that I'm old enough for my teenage fashions to have come back into fashion. Lordy! What did I think I looked like?

George at Asda sell online as well. here

Not sure what they're like though, haven't looked for a long time. I was looking for a winter coat last time. Am liking the idea of secret tummy support in skirts though - here, although not sure about the actual style of the skirt.

treedelivery · 24/04/2010 23:33

Tell you what, if I looked like that I'd wear a pencl skirt and killer heels all the time. I luuurve pencil skirts. Sadly my calves are as wide as my thighs and there for e look like a piggie with trotters in them

Off for a mooch there too. I could shop all night [grn]

Uploading to facebook too, new pcs. Have one of J that nearly made me cry it's so pretty.

moosemama · 24/04/2010 23:40

Oh don't. I can't see fb pics.

I have just bookmarked a few bits for dd on the Asda site. Will go back and have a proper look tomorrow. I bought my current favourite outfit of hers from their before she was born. She just fits it and looks so cute. (Its a denim pinafore with matching stripey tights, spotty body suit, stripy cardigan and stripey ear-flap hat.)

I have to buy boots with wider calf fittings, but console myself that its because I walk a lot and therefore have more muscle than most ladies. I NEVER wear dresses or skirts and am distinctly p'd off about having to buy a dress to go to dh's best friend's wedding in August. Still haven't found a dress and have been searching for ages.

Ah well, better get off to bed, the boys will be waking us up with crazy bones vs toonz lego castle wars again in the morning. Apparently you can't play it 'quietly'.

Night Tree, happy shopping.

treedelivery · 24/04/2010 23:42

Night Moose. Will put pic on profile and turn it 'on' for you to see.
