Thanks for the sleepy vibes, must have worked, we all slept for 3.5 hours!

Pempe It is hard being pregnant with a toddler about. Ds1 was about 8/9 months when I fell pregnant with ds2.
Like dinky says, I found I got a bit more energy in the second trimester.

littlesez · 03/05/2010 14:11

swampy, its funny, i just sold a liek a tiger itti on saturday from my shop, i thought it may have been you!

Tulips how was the night out x

TulipsInTheSunshine · 03/05/2010 15:40

Brilliant went clubbing and had an ace time (despite being stone cold sober)

DP has been a sweetie and let me sleep half the day too (although i still feel like i could sleep more ... must be getting old)

Speaking of age... really felt old when someone turned to me last night and said 'Oh, your [dd]'s mother aren't you?!' She's 5 fgs, how does she know more people in pubs than i do?

A went down in his cot last night and slept til 4.30am... he never does that when i'm here the little sod! Poor dp stayed up though as he kept hearing him rustle and presumed he was waking up and knew he wouldn't be able to settle him in the bed without me, it's a wonder he's still standing today, we didn't go to sleep til 4am!

Pemmpe... SM is right, i had an 18 month gap between dd and ds1 and the prgnacy was tough but so worth it when he was born as they've been so close from day 1. Don't put yourself under pressure and be as selfish as you need to be, your ds won't remember and you can make it up to him by being ubermom once the new lo is born. You'll probably start to feel a bit better around 14/15 weeks and then you'll have a nice stretch until you get too big where you'll feel vaguely human again. Be good to yourself

dinkystinky · 03/05/2010 20:26

Glad you had a brilliant time Tulips -sounds like a well overdue great night out and hurrah for DP doing his bit with the kids today! Lol at your DD knowing more people in pubs than you do.

Hope everyone has had a nice bank holiday weekend - the weather was so rubbish today we went back to the RAF Museum (DS1 asked specially for it) which was lovely but rammed which I really didnt expect - when we left they were turning cars away from the car park

Greetings from The House of Pox Round II. Now it is both DS2 and DS3. Last night was really tough, hope we are over the hump now. My friend's little girl has chickenpox too, courtesy of DS1.

How do I find your shop, littlesez?

I better hit the hay in case DS3 is up all night. Again.

littlesez · 04/05/2010 06:58

aww swampy more pox boooo My shop is very small just a little side line to my teaching so not a WAHM as such! Its called greenabubs, comes up on google. I have a few bits and bobs with more monkeyfoot wetbags in this week I think, and weenotions side snaps in 1st week of June Its growing very very slowly as I am getting stock in small amounts.

Izzy is being a clingy bubs this week, she has a cold which s like the end of the world! Such a drama queen when she coughs she pats her chest and really sticks out her tongue. Poor snotty McBogey

Tulips how come you were sober? Just being nosey! I don't drink and so have to have red bull or coffee to stay up til 4am!

dinkystinky · 04/05/2010 10:07

Aargh Swampster - what a total mare. Hope last night wasnt as bad as you thought it was going to be.

TulipsInTheSunshine · 04/05/2010 10:16

littlesez, I was driving, plus A is still bf-ing (although that wouldn't stop me having one or two now and again). Either way I don't drink much anyway, gave up before having the kids as i have impulse control issues and could never have just one or two, had to get legless so felt it was best to just stop completely. I can behave myself now but still prefer to stick to the coke or britvic 55

SweetTalkinWoman · 04/05/2010 13:46

Just stopping by quickly to say "hi"!!! Having broadband issues at home and lost two long post over the weekend Hope all well. Really busy at work so that's it for now....

dinkystinky · 04/05/2010 15:15

Little thread about Danny's latest escapades in Chat under Toddler Feng shui. Am thinking should just sack our interior designer and let Danny do it instead when we redo the house

Tulips Glad you had a gbood time on your night out That's very funny about your dd knowing more people in the pub than you, I did laugh out loud
swampy Hope things are getting better. Your poor boys
dinky Gonna go over and look at your thread now.

Me and dp took the boys swimming today. They both did really well. Luke didn't scream. He wouldn't let go of me, but he wasn't screaming which was miles better than last time.
Jacob had a point where he was actually swimming too. He was kicking his little legs and was free floating. He had a massive panic when he realised neither me nor dp were holding him

I got a call from one of the outreach workers today from our children's centre. She is doing some kind of pre-school development training thing and has asked if she can use jacob as one of her 'subjects'. Basically she needs 1 outgoing, talkative, confident child, and one not so.
She wants us to go in for a little chat on thursday just to mark off some of his milestone moments and go through what needs to be looked at.

Luke said "dadda" today which was very sweet.
Jacob is now calling me "Mick". He's got it from dp who calls me by the short version of my real name (Nic) and Jacob now calls me Mick

TulipsInTheSunshine · 04/05/2010 18:20

sorry SM but i snorted with laughter at that If it cheers you up dd calls me anything and everything from my full name, shortened name, mummy, mom, mama. I just can't be bothered argueing with her about it... i figure when she's a teen i'll be lucky to be referred to as anthing other than 'that bitch' or 'Her' so i'll take what i can get

littlesez · 04/05/2010 20:35

tulips me too! I was into going out getting smashed could never just have one so thought best to knock it on the head. I did that 2 years ago plus stopped smoking and was pregnant 2 months later

Never looked back we'r still BF too, I wonder how long it will last she is a serious boob monster (.)(.)

littlesez · 04/05/2010 20:41

boo hoo can't find it

SilveryMoon · 05/05/2010 07:13

Morning.
tulips suppose you're right Jacob also calls dp by his real name.
Had a good night, Jacob stayed in his bed all night (I think) and Luke only woke the once when I flushed the toilet but settled again straight away.

We're off to a craft morning today. I'm going to try really hard not to interfere with whAT the boys do. I will not take over, do you hear?

mumoverseas · 05/05/2010 07:37

hello all,
sorry, you dropped off again as RL has been manic.
Had a bit of a mooch on some threads a few days ago and it made me feel a bit down as there were so many stupid and bitchy threads, one very spiteful one in particular. Makes you want to back away from the laptop sometimes

swampy sorry you are all still poxy.

littlesez shame on you for joining Netmums. Have to admit, when I couldn't get on here for 4 weeks I did sign up but never posted. Didn't like the name thing on it was I would be too identifiable with my initials. Also very hard to find your way round it and its too fluffy for my liking.

SM hi Mick I get called all sorts by mine. Very jealous of your long nap the other day.

TITS glad you had a good night out. I'm going out with a group of girls for a meal next weekend which will be nice and hopefully will keep me sane.

snowmama finally just managed to get onto FB and will reply to you later, have to take H to doctors in a bit and still in green icing covered clothes from a manic session which started at 6am making 3 caterpillar cakes for DD to take to nursery for the caterpillar party.
H still in his pj's too.

Right, will catch up with the rest of you later. x

SilveryMoon · 05/05/2010 07:48

mos I mostly just stay on this thread really. I never read anything that has an iffy thread title as I just don't want to get involved.

dinkystinky · 05/05/2010 08:59

MOS - I think pre-election fever is sending people odd on MN at the moment. Am on a thread with Aitch and she's been complaining that there is hardly anything around that's worth watching for the round up at the moment too - I mostly post on here or on the not-really-anorexic-but-mostly-fat-biffers-moaning-about-cake-and-being-shouted-at-by-cod thread.

Tulips and SM - lol at your DS2's feng shui exploits. I have a feeling Danny and A would get on v well indeed Tulips - shame they're separated by a sea...

MoS - lovely to see you on. hope all ok with you. Amazed at your early morning cake making. Hope H is ok.

OP posts:
mumoverseas · 05/05/2010 09:45

dinky that is one of the threads I'd been thinking of. (I think?) the one where there was supposed to be a meet up and someone was basically told they couldn't go and then started threads about threads and it all got really rather nasty.
Am I the only one that didn't know (until a day or so ago) that cod hadn't actually buggered off?

Some really stupid attention seeking threads yesterday by a silly bitch/girl who one minute was menopausal at 20 and then was pregnant and miscarrying or maybe not oh and she likes to attention seek Maybe now the bank hol weekend is over and the little darlings back to school that will stop

H is into feng shui now and is constantly moving everything around. His other favourite hobby is posting things in the bin which is a pain in the arse.

Right, just about to have my first cup of tea of the day (just back from doctors and H doing file and on the 9th centile whatever that means - you'd think after 4 DC I'd understand)

dinkystinky · 05/05/2010 10:00

Oh no - that was Shiney's thread (and it looked like it was a long ago planned meet up then the poster dropped off for several months then turned up again saying she'd be at the meet up and people were nonplussed and it turned into stropgate - the stroppy one has apparently been banned). The notreallyanorexic thread is the one about nothing tasting as good as being slim feels - that's a patent lie and the fact there are tonnes of us on there admitting to biffage is really rather amusing.

Loving that H is also into feng shui - glad he's doing well.

OP posts:
SilveryMoon · 05/05/2010 10:02

I knew cod was still around under a different name, but i don't know what the name is. People go on about a posting style which is how you can tell it's her, but I joined just after all that stuff happened and 'cod' left, so not really 100% about it all.
I had a quick look at a thread by daftpunk which was, suprise suprise, daft. She was saying something about the BNP being the only ones that will look out for british people. Zzzzzzzzz Couldn't be arsed to read much, I imagine where it went/is going. Just a bit of a bore really.
Yes, we all have our own opinions and are entitled to them, and I agree that this country has gone PC mad, but certain things don't need to be said because they will cause offense.
Immigration may have gone a bit crazy in some areas, but we all benefit from a multi-cultural society. I do not like free-loaders, but most of them are british aren't they?
I remember when we lived in Woking and I was made homeless, i did feel the council weren't willing to help me because I was white, but that was just stupid. I lived in an area that was largely populated by asian people, so it stands to reason that most of the houses were occupied by non-whites, because white people seemed to be in minority in that particular area.
Anyway, *I'm waffling and don't really know what I'm talking about. Lol
Does it really matter who we vote for? We'll still be a messed up country won't we?
I don't even know who I'm voting for. I was going to go for Lib dems but don't even know now.
Anyway, there's no shortage of political threads if I want to carry on is there. Sorry

dinkystinky · 05/05/2010 10:07

SM - you're right, we are a messed up country and will still be post election - i guess the issue is who do you think will deal with the clean up operation the best. Whichever govt comes in will have to make cuts in spending and raise taxes to clear the deficit - I am buggered if I'm going to vote Tory as I remember what the age of austerity under Thatcher was like (and her famous "there is no such thing as society" speech - was v politicised child at early age). Also not too keen on the Lib Dem's stated object of joining the euro - I think the fact we're not in the euro is one of the few things that's stopped the UK going the way of Greece so far. But hey ho, all the crazy policos on MN at the moment will bugger off come Friday with any luck.

Cod often posts under susylvester - but changes her name lots. If she's abrupt with lots of typos and slightly cryptic she's cod.

OP posts:
mumoverseas · 05/05/2010 10:19

sounds very messed up (both election and on MN) from what I've read.
See lots of coverage on skynews and saw the corker last week when GB forgot he had a microphone on his lapel

DH (said he had!) registered for us to vote my post/proxy but nothing came through so can't which is annoying. To be honest, probably just as well as I'm still undecided.
I'd been backing DC for most of the time but quite like NC. (really liked his quote months ago about GF's contended baby book being like an ikea instruction manual) I warmed to him then

Very confused about the whole fishy thing. A thread a while ago said she was shiney. Guess that is not the case.

SM I just ignore DPs threads as they are just stupid and most of the time I'm sure she is just out to antagonise (sp?)

TulipsInTheSunshine · 05/05/2010 11:56

Cod's style is very obvious.... difficult to read

Mn is very peculiar atm alright, everyone seems desperate to jump down someones throat. Suits me though, am trying to avoid MNing and get my work finished so the less pleasant the place is the better!

TheHouseofMirth · 05/05/2010 14:32

Mr T & I have just had the following conversation:
Me "Would you like some lunch?"
Him - vigorous nodding
Me "What would you like to eat?"
Him "Cake"
Me "Cake?"
Him "Alright" (in Liverpudlian accent accompanied by more vigorous nodding...
