So the boiler man has just left. Ellen had blue lips yesterday. Wasn't much fun. How is everyone today?

Fei - Shame about the house. Something better is obviously meant to be.

When the hell did you se a toddler eat dog poo? Vom.
Holly opened a nappy the other day and I could barely cope with her own poo on her hands. But a dog's poo in her mouth? OH MY GIDDY AUNT

Zulu - How frightening. I am glad he is okay though.

Bronze - Did you get what you needed from your thread?
Fingers crossed your DH finds something quickly. I know that horrible feeling. I'll be thinking of you.

Bebe - I'm so sorry I missed your brthday. MANY HAPPY RETURNS for yesterday.

It was at a friend's house, she's got two little dogs and there were quite a few turds in her garden. Our children, who were about 15 months old at the time, played in the garden and two of them picked up the poo and tried to eat it (as you do). Luckily DD1 was playing elsewhere at the time!

Not good about the boiler. Why do they always break down in winter?

I have just been on a baby name thread and there were lots and lots of people on there who hated the name Hazel . They said it was chavvy, boring, plain, ugly. Oh well, my Hazel will grow up to be posh, interesting, and pretty.

And by the way, since I've been on the name threads where I really shouldn't have been - what is it with people mis-spelling names to make them more interesting? As in Hollie instead of Holly? Or Nickola instead of Nicola? It makes my blood boil!

OP posts:
PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 13:54

How on earth is Hazel chavvy? Or any of those things. It's far too uncommon to be plain or boring.

Yes yes to annoying spellings. Meet my daughters L-N and Hol-leigh.

PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 13:55

And my husband Androo.

Feierabend · 24/02/2010 13:59

LOL Puzzle. Hazle?

OP posts:
PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 14:00

No no Hayzle is much prettier.

Feierabend · 24/02/2010 14:00

There is a thread from a lady who wants to give her baby girl the middle name Pommeline. The correct spelling is Pomeline... but that's not really the point. The poor girl.

OP posts:
Feierabend · 24/02/2010 14:01

Nah, Hayzle is too American for me

OP posts:
Bicnod · 24/02/2010 14:03

No Fei, should be Hazelle, or Hazella, sounds far more exotic

I saw that names thread as well and thought sod off, I know a gorgeous little girl called Hazel.

Puzzle blue lips = bad

Bicnod · 24/02/2010 14:04

Pomeline? sounds like a fruit.

PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 14:04

Look at the sibling name suggestions

PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 14:06

Hazella - Counterfeit Nutella

Bicnod · 24/02/2010 14:07

LOL

Fanny is a much under-used name IMHO. Did you not read the Faraway Tree? I might call my next child Fanny whether it be blue or pink.

Ondine? Sounds like iodine.

PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 14:07

That's exactly what she looked like. Poor scrap.

PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 14:08

My younger brother has always threatened to call his first child Fanny. Regardless of gender. Sounds even worse when you know what my maiden name was.

Feierabend · 24/02/2010 14:09

I do call her Hazella sometimes...

OP posts:
PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 14:09

I always used to snigger at Titty in Swallows and Amazons.

Bicnod · 24/02/2010 14:09

Come on. Spill.

Bicnod · 24/02/2010 14:11

Hehe

Feierabend · 24/02/2010 14:11

You could have Titty and Fanny...

OP posts:
PuzzleRocks · 24/02/2010 14:12

Rutter

Feierabend · 24/02/2010 14:13

On that Namipedia thing there was a Porsha

ZuluWarrior · 24/02/2010 14:29

You lot are hilarious.

Feier, I desperately want Hazel to be my girl's name if I ever have one, but DH doesn't like it . It is beautiful.

Fanny Rutter! ROFL

ZuluWarrior · 24/02/2010 14:31

I always thought Candida was an odd name choice for a girl. It's the name of a yeast infection FFS! Might as well go all out and call her Chlamydia.
