Here we go!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
surprisenumber3 · 08/03/2010 10:28

Bicnod - when I go to London I usually park at Old Deer Car Park (or something like that) and then get the train into London from Richmond (I just find it so much less stressful!).

do you know if Richmond park is anywhere near that carpark?

Bicnod · 08/03/2010 10:31

No idea, but Puzzle etc will know...

YOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO PUUUUUUUUUUUZZLE, SCHULTE, WILDRUMPUSSSSSSSSSSS

Oooooo it would be nice if it was good weather and we could hang around Richmond Park and eat cake and things...

Oscar is currently reversing under everything as he can't go forwards. He's very frustrated poor little mite. I don't think it helps that I laugh at him every time he does it and wails for help as he just looks so ridiculous under the island unit in the kitchen/under a chair/stuck under a radiator etc

AuldAlliance · 08/03/2010 10:34

Zulu,
Are you on FB? Can you get in touch that way?
Where do you fancy meeting? I'll be around from the 4th to the 13th of April.
I'll try and get hold of Frekkles the Wise One

And stop that nonsense about your age, you are a spring chicken compared to me. Not only am I 32 stone, I am also nearer 40 than 30.

WFH, I am so sorry about your mum. She is being pissed about with and it is just cruel.
Fingers crossed for you all.

Random responses to other things, with apologies to those I have ignored, I should be working.
The huge electrical work has been postponed, a compromise has been found. Smaller work which will make things safer and cleaner is to be done, God knows when. But we don't have to shift all our stuff and live elsewhere for 2 mths.

Ginger, I love the knickers-on-my-head plan, I may well implement it soon.

Right, back to work now...

Bicnod · 08/03/2010 10:38

What a shame that we can't ALL meet up

Auld - really pleased that you don't have to find somewhere else to live for 2 months, that sounded like a right royal PITA

right. must get off MN and start packing for hols. so can't be bothered, why can't oscar pack his own stuff?

surprisenumber3 · 08/03/2010 10:48

Bicnod where are you going on hols?

surprisenumber3 · 08/03/2010 10:53

oh I am reading back over the thread and see you're going to Cornwall Have a fantastic time.

WFH, how frustrating about your mum. Hope everything gets sorted for her soon.

Schulte · 08/03/2010 11:58

I don't know if I can do 15th April... I'd need to take the day off work... I'll try though!

Old Deer Park and Richmond Station are not so near Richmond Park - it's walkable but takes a while. But there are buses going that way too. However, there are several perfectly adequate car parks in Richmond Park

Must go hang the washing.

Bicnod, my head hurts from all that being shouted at

Bicnod · 08/03/2010 12:31

Haha - sorry Schulte

Oh no which days could you do if you can't do 15th?

my washing is currently dancing in the sunshine. not sure if it will actually dry as although sunny it is frickin freezing

ZuluWarrior · 08/03/2010 12:43

Auld have asked to be your friend on FB (I think. Not very modern, me )

bebemoohatessnot · 08/03/2010 12:45

Right the little she-devil is a asleep. Definitely woke on the wrong side of the bed she did; might be because it's a new one.

Right, so what did I say? Hmmmmmmm

WFH hopefully your mom is not put of another day and the other Spring Chickens on here are far wiser than I am and have great advice I think. Give O some extra cuddles because that's what's important not outings.

Yippee for new technologies (cars and music 'boxes' and communication devices). I love shiny gagets!

Trying to get more things sorted here in the house, but I have a tight muscle in my neck which is making me nauseous. After the migraine yesterday I feel right off again. Which reminds me 'what IS a floating status'?

Schulte · 08/03/2010 12:47

Yes what IS a floating status? It's nagging me too.

I could do the 14th very easily... but will roll with whatever the majority here decides!

AuldAlliance · 08/03/2010 12:56

Zulu, I have replied.

I too have been wondering what floating status is.

AuldAlliance · 08/03/2010 13:05

Zulu, I have quakingly asked Frekkles if she'd like to meet us and carry my zimmer frame for me.

surprisenumber3 · 08/03/2010 13:13

Bicnod - it will dry! I put mine out at 9 and just got it in all line fresh and dry

AuldAlliance · 08/03/2010 14:26

OI! BICNOD! STOP FAFFING WITH LAUNDRY & PACKING!

(That'll teach you to shout at folk)

I have FB'd you as I have a favour to ask.
Not dead handy as you are about to go mad in Cornwall à  la Famous Five (or was that Devon?), but please have a peek and let me know...

AuldAlliance · 08/03/2010 14:27

wtf are those two capital A's with tildes on doing there?????
It looked OK in the preview.

grumbles and mumbles

Bicnod · 08/03/2010 15:24

OI AULD (I like this shouting thing)

I've facebooked you

bebemoohatessnot · 08/03/2010 16:14

gardening tips

dawntigga · 08/03/2010 17:21

Can we take a bit of a poll on who's children are actually:

a) crawling
b) walking
c) making words you actually recognise

TheCubIsn'tDoingAnyOfTheseThingsTiggaxx

surprisenumber3 · 08/03/2010 17:29

Evie does a) and c).

Tigga, I seem to remember your LO was born early? DS1 was too (6 weeks) and he never crawled and walked at almost 17 months.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 08/03/2010 18:23

Re what is a floating status - put your mouse cursor over my name and wait and see

bebemoohatessnot · 08/03/2010 18:23

Moo's talking comes and goes(maybe something to do with solar flares I'm just not sure). Today she's been whispering -when she's not throwing a screaming tantrum that is. Perhaps it's about balancing the loud with the soft? She recently started to say 'Hi dada', but only very quietly. And she said in the same tiny voice 'hi cad' (cat, I think - unless she knows something about her dad that I don't know) But Moo is only about 3 weeks from her 1st birthday so she's older than most the others.
I wouldn't compare too much Tigga, they all progress at different rates. Moo for instance does not stand/balance yet, tho she's nearly walking unaided. Sometimes they don't do anything and then suddenly without seemingly practicing they can do it (like Moo never tried going down the stairs but yesterday did it all by herself-with supervision)

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 08/03/2010 18:23

only a) here Tigs.

Bicnod · 08/03/2010 18:57

Haha - Oscar does none of the above. Unless you count shuffling/crawling backwards?

I'm not bothered, babies develop at different rates. He's clearly going to be a genius in a million other ways

WFH - aha! now i know. but how do i do it?
