Here we go!

Fei - I dare you to now say that, when shopping with a toddller and a baby, you feel entitled to use disabled loos.

Bicnod glad you are remaining positive. About 10 days before conceiving Basti I sat down with a good bottle of wine and some runny chhese and wrote a list of all the good things about not being pg (everything from more time and energy for DD to horse riding and scuba diving). Hey presto I was knocked up again.

WrigglyGiggly · 06/03/2010 08:50

Blimey Fei - your thread is the most active!

WrigglyGiggly · 06/03/2010 08:52

'cheese'. Duh! Scuse typos - feeding baby and consoling crying toddler while I type.

Feierabend · 06/03/2010 09:02

Well I do use the disabled loos... because I have to take the pram in with me. Also it's usually where the nappy changing station is. Shall I mention it? Shall I?

If I had a severely disabled child, I think I'd do most of my shopping online. Non?

Sometimes you are going to need to go into town though aren't you - e.g. to go to the post office.

That reminds me - I saw a woman in the supermarket the other day and I actually had to count how many children she was trailing round the aisles with her - it was 6! 2 in the trolley and 4 on foot. And the whole experience looked utterly chaotic (and I don't think she was childminding - they all had a strong sibling resemblance).

I did think if I were her I would do my shopping online, but the fact is I only do about 1/3 of my shopping online myself. Should probably do more but I wuite like choosing my veg etc etc. And DD loves supermarkets. It's her idea of a great day out. She chats to people on every aisle, gives a running commentary on whats going on around us, puts in bids for what she wants to eat, complains if the bananas I select are too green for her liking.

kingbeat23 · 06/03/2010 09:45

Fei - mucho respect for the AIBU, read about 3 pages and then got a bit tired if people taking things the wrong way.....couldnt reply, hope it all got sorted out and they realise youre not a dumb witted disabled hater.

breaking news.......i am living in a ladybird commune and free love is everywhere...anyone know how to get rid of the little fuckers as i spray them every night, but that only sssee,s to fuel thier multitude!!!

dawntigga · 06/03/2010 09:49

Ladybirds are good for your garden as they help control the greenfly population.

Don't spray!

Unless of course they get to 1976 levels and start biting you then spray away!

kingbeat23 · 06/03/2010 09:56

Tiggs - i live on the 4th floor of a flat in the centre of london, there is neither garden, nor garden to put them in....you are more than welcome to come round and collect them though as for this morning there were 21 of them in my living room alone, this is on top of the ones that we have cleared all this week and the ones in her bedrrom too......plus the spray doesnt really seem to be working and I dont like using it, plus it means wiping down surfaces before i can use the living room not to mention the damage it does etc etc......come and get them daily...purlease???

bronze · 06/03/2010 10:09

you need to start an online business. Pack them up and post them to gardeners. I'll have some for my greenhouse

Feierabend · 06/03/2010 15:08

I'll have to namechange now won't I And then I'll go around threads telling everyone what a cow Feierabend is

WrigglyGiggly · 06/03/2010 15:52

Hmmm I think I may need a fresh identity too.

I knew this name was no good.

WildRumpus · 06/03/2010 16:03

How's this? Does it suit me?

BoffinMum · 06/03/2010 16:45

Fei can you go back to Schulte as all this namechanging has done my head in and I have no idea who half of you are anymore.

Bicnod · 06/03/2010 17:02

OI FEI! WHAT ABOUT THAT WEDNESDAY THEN?!

as you were

Feierabend · 06/03/2010 17:15

Hello Bicnod

Yes the 24th is great for us.

So sorry I haven't replied yet, I just never got round to getting my diary out! xxx Have a lovely holiday.

Hang on a second then...

OP posts:
Schulte · 06/03/2010 17:16

Sooooo....

Schulte · 06/03/2010 17:17

Hazel has a big bruise on her cheek from falling against a corner. Poor thing

Schulte · 06/03/2010 17:19

I could write my own AIBU now including all the replies. Here are my favourites:

'Get a life'

''

'Eyeroll'

'Have you got nothing else to worry about?'

'YABVVVVU. And stupid, too.'

'FFS hasn't this been done before?'

etcpp.

Bicnod · 06/03/2010 17:25

Phew, I can decapitalise now

Nice to have you back Schulte - looking forward to seeing you and H on 24th. Poor Hazel

O didn't sleep through last night and has been up since 5am so I'm feeling a little weary today.

Buuuuuut - DH has gone to buy a car. And not just any car, but a new car. We're doing the scrappage thingammy (only way we'd get any money for our old banger) and I'm sooooo excited. It'll have that new car smell. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

WildRumpus · 06/03/2010 18:23

Bicnod - we've just done that scrappage thingummy too (am I right in thinking you were also driving a very ancient Peugeot hatchback?)

Am trying not to think about the old car. It served us well. But DD keeps reminding me that "Our car was squished?".

The new car is luvverly, luvverly, luvverly though. The doors make a gentle 'thunk' sound when you close them. And (I know everyone else's cars probably already have this) it has electric windows. I felt about a billion dollers worth of glamorousness when I collected my ticket at the car park barrier today and just pressed a button to open the window. Wooohoo.

BoffinMum · 06/03/2010 20:37

Yay Schulte, can everyone else come back too now??? So it's like da ol' days??

WildRumpus · 07/03/2010 00:00

Aaaaah Boff. We all miss Nutty Smutty.

On names:

I can't be LuLuBai any more cos my DH pinched it. And cos elswhere on mumsnet there are Lulubees and Lulubelles and Lulumamas ad infinitum. All far too confusing.

I can't be Wriggly any more cos a) I never thought it felt right and b) I have offended about six squillion mothers of disabled children.

ZuluWarrior · 07/03/2010 14:31

Ooh - didn't you lot get some peoples' dander up yesterday? I love how you've had to change your names!

I thought about saying something but I was too scared .

bebemoohatessnot · 07/03/2010 15:35

finallly got on and now i'm even farther behind. aw shucks just can't win. Wonder why y'all didn't have trouble getting on?
