oh and theres loads of storks in Denmark

WrigglyGiggly · 05/03/2010 19:14

Hello all

I can't think how it is that I haven't managed to post in so long. My children seem to conspire to keep me away from the computer. In fact they seem to conspire to prevent me from achieving anything particularly productive.

DH has just abandoned us for a boys weekend so I have just managed to get on here and read up on how everyone is.

All generally OK chez Wriggly. Lots of minor ailments and most clothes still charmingly accessorised with smears of snot but nothing to complain about too much.

surprisenumber3 · 05/03/2010 19:25

Bicnod - sorry to hear about your grandma
Woohoo for the TTC! That's lovely news

Feira - BM is the best thing for sticky eye - works every time!

Bebe - as for the keeping things clean when moo only wants to feed herself..hmmm...I haven't a clue! I have been doing this parenting lark for nearly 11 years now and I still don't know! DS2 made loads of mess when he ate, in fact, when we were on hols in Bulgaria when he was 15 months, the cleaner asked for extra money to clean up from him after dinner in the restaurant (even though I had been on my hands and knees scooping everything up into a napkin)

Hope we can have an April meet-up even if no-one is going to answer my FW post on FB ;)

WrigglyGiggly · 05/03/2010 19:31

April meet up surprise?

I will go onto FB now and look.

As for feeding both mine have been the same. They get cutlery rage and have to have finger food. And then they smear it everwhere. I am holding my breath and praying for sunshine (warm sunshine as opposed to this howling icy wind business we've been having) so that we can make a packed lunch and eat it in the park as I am sick to death of scraping food out of every crack and crevice.

surprisenumber3 · 05/03/2010 19:41

Hi wriggly, yes we mentioned a long time ago that we should have a meet up in April. I am only getting twitchy cos I want to be able to go this time but will mean DH booking day off etc (but is able to do this at short notice), so yes, just me being impatient....damn my overactive thyroid! :D

WrigglyGiggly · 05/03/2010 19:47

Woah! - Just went onto the FW section of FB. Still digesting. Haven't been there in a while.

I could probably do an April meet up. Whereabouts where you thinking?

Why would DH need to take the day off? Would you only bring number3?

surprisenumber3 · 05/03/2010 19:51

I was thinking it would probably be around Richmond (just based on last year) but I am happy to go anywhere! DH would need time off to look after the DS's as yes I would just bring Evie so I have chance to actually chat DS's have been naggy to go to London so if it were to be Richmond, DH could take them into London. But really, I will go anywhere!

Whereabouts are you?

surprisenumber3 · 05/03/2010 20:02

sorry, I did have replies on FB so I do apologise :D Why didn't the darn thing send me a notification? Doesn't it know I'm far too busy to notice these things without a notification??!!

Feierabend · 05/03/2010 20:07

Sorry I've been busy getting massacred on an AIBU thread. Will have a look at FB now.

Fei you need to post links!

AuldAlliance · 05/03/2010 20:11

Shit, I'd not been on the FB FW page for ages. Some FW spirit is urgently required.

WrigglyGiggly · 05/03/2010 20:11

Well Richmond would be v. convenient for me . I could walk there. But I could do a daytime meet up somewhere else.We just got a new car - one without mildew or a leak in the roof or an indigenous spider population. So now that I am roadworthy again happy to somewhere beyond walking distance.

surprisenumber3 · 05/03/2010 20:14

I know Auld

Feierabend · 05/03/2010 20:38

Here is the link but I warn you, people have got seriously offended. I haven't even bothered reading more than the first couple of pages, and the last few posts. It just got mad so quickly.

WrigglyGiggly · 05/03/2010 20:42

OH FEI!

This is a pet topic of mine. Not sure I can begin to post as may find self ranting.

aoifesmama · 05/03/2010 20:51

Hi all,

Sorry I've been AWOL this week...has been a mad week at work (school) with evening events so on Tuesday for the first time ever I didn't get to see Aoife at all except to wake her up . She is still only thinking about taking steps, but very steady when standing.

Bicnod - my friend has just returned to work following baby last May + ML and whispered to me today that she is almost 10 weeks pg. Good luck with ttc - how exciting!

Food mess here is a constant and i am starting to not get so stressed about it. Aoife's favourite thing is to bunch loads of food in her mouth and then spit it out - disgusting!!

aoifesmama · 05/03/2010 20:51

Also Fei - how brace you are to post in AIBU!!

aoifesmama · 05/03/2010 20:52

*brave even

kazkiss · 05/03/2010 21:05

just put my tuppenceworth on AIBU..

surprisenumber3 · 05/03/2010 21:14

me too but I might have to slope away now, getting far too wound up for a Friday night!

WrigglyGiggly · 05/03/2010 21:18

Mmm - I keep typing posts on there and deleting them.

Time to step away methinks.

Feierabend · 05/03/2010 21:40

Well thanks for coming to my rescue I really didn't think people would get so angry but then that was probable naive of me. I didn't mind the being shouted at, or I wouldn't have started the thread in the first place

OP posts:
WrigglyGiggly · 05/03/2010 21:51

Fei - I think you are bloody brave but bloody right for saying it.

I gather they hate me almost as much as they hate you now

Ironic considering most of my professional life has been in the disability rights field

Bicnod · 06/03/2010 07:07

Blimey, it all kicked off last night didn't it?! I quite liked the FW task force storming the thread all at once

AF turned up this morning so we didn't hit the jackpot first month of trying. Oh well, every month that it doesn't work is another month for O to have his mummy and daddy all to himself

Fei - did you get my email? What about that Wed - shall I come to you?

x

dawntigga · 06/03/2010 07:14

Fei it's a well known sore spot on here - you asked.

Why are there more disabled spots than P&B spots.

They heard:

There shouldn't be as many disabled spots as there are more P&B requirements than disabled.

They won't listen I'm afraid. You weren't suggesting getting rid of disabled spots more increasing p&b spots. As to them not being essential, I don't shop in our local Asda as the p&b spots are normally full whereas Morrisons is usually a place. I can't bloody cope with shopping, an estate car and a baby all at ruddy once in a teeny tiny parking spot.

Would have posted but, frankly the harpies don't listen sometimes.
