Evening all
First and most importantly, good luck for tomorrow HKZ, will be thinking of you both.
Second, whose got a rodent in the house? Have read back, but can't see it mentioned anywhere.
I think my dc's might win the prize for ridiculously small feet. Ds2 is nearly 6 and is still only a size 9.5. He hasn't gone up a shoe size at all since the beginning of reception and now he's halfway through year 1! Ds1 was the same, but his feet suddenly grew at the end of year 2 and now he's a 12. A size 2 still falls off dd's feet they are beautifully cute and dinky.
The dog is doing fine thanks Pat. She seems a bit bemused at all the attention really, as she hasn't any symptoms to speak of, just a horrible great ugly, smelly lump in her mouth.
After I came on here earlier, I went up to the boys, apologised for shouting and said I was a good example of how not to behave and very ashamed of myself. We all had a hug and I was amazed to find they had actually tidied up all the mess and sorted out their bedside cabinets. So all's well that ends well. Well almost, ds1 was horrible at tea time, but only in a typical 7 year old boy way rather than an ASD way iyswim. After I put him in a time-out, dh calmly explained the error of his ways to him and he went to bed full of apologies and kisses for Mummy.
Oh yes, I caught a bunch of horrid boys stood halfway down our drive throwing snowballs at our house this afternoon. The bangs were ridiculously loud and really made me jump. Silly really, but I was shaking for ages afterwards. I think the snowballs were meant for next door though, as the boys were from their ds's year in school and they looked both shocked and puzzled before they legged it when I appeared at the window.
Am now sat here worrying that we are in for a power cut, as the lights keep blinking on and off. We have about 4 inches of snow and more predicted for later.
Books, I hate that with jigsaws. I resorted to keeping them all in 'Mummy's' cupboard and only letting them have one out at a time. I remember only too well sitting for hours sorting puzzle pieces. In the end I came up with the idea of putting a dot of felt-tip on the back of each piece, so that I could identify which pieces belonged to which puzzle more easily. Very useful when you have about five thousand different Thomas the Tank Engine jigsaws.
