New thread idea good jfly!

See what I did, now we are two - for those with new number 2 and expecting number 2.

And all the rest of us who get at least 2 tantrums a day from the 2 year olds.

Come on, people....we haven't seen anyone for ages! Is four all we can manage?!

littleducks · 17/05/2010 06:53

If i can get over my envy that Ewe has finished uni , just as my course is stepping up a gear and i have huge (and late for deadlines) assignments and final exams coming out of ears, I could come next Mon dependant on venue.

megonthemoon · 17/05/2010 08:14

Ah, I might be able to finally grace you with my presence I've not been able to come before as it's always been a work day, but I can usually do Mondays. If it's somewhere that is straightforward from Victoria (tube ride fine) and time works then DS and I may be able to finally meet you all!

Ffrecklefface · 17/05/2010 08:30

Would love to come next Monday, but can't I'm afraid - revision.
Later in the summer though.

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead · 17/05/2010 08:33

Hello all, SexOnFire here.

I'd love to come to your meet up but depends on time. I have a sewing class mon afternoons but I guess I could skip it for this important occasion.

Ewe · 17/05/2010 08:45

meg, turtle and I go to Victoria, JFly is on the district line so I guess South Ken is looking pretty good for most of us?

Is it ok for you mb/littleducks?

Perhaps if we met up in the morning we could play and then have lunch/picnic. There is a Wagamama, Pizza Express etc not a million miles away if the weather isn't picnic friendly.

Bring your revision with you Ff, we'll occupy DD you can revise in the sun!!

megonthemoon · 17/05/2010 11:48

We can come in on any train that arrives at Victoria after 10am so any time apart from first thing works for us. Forgot that I can also come into London Bridge so Northern/Jubilee line destinations are a possibility too. Happy to do either option for lunch depending on what majority prefers - guess it depends somewhat on weather although Science Museum I know has big indoors picnic area if we end up in South Ken.

merryberry · 17/05/2010 12:00

i can do south ken easy enough from cally road. could be at south ken about 1015/30 i think.

Ok, well let's say half 10/11ish next Monday then. If it's raining we could meet at Science Museum and if it's sunny at the Diana Memorial playground and go from there?

Ewe · 17/05/2010 12:12

Isn't it crappy having to make a wet weather alternative for a date at the end of May? Bloody British weather!

JFly · 17/05/2010 12:39

Cool, works for me. Lunch options of all sorts OK, too. I've got all numbers except Meg, so maybe FB us with mobile.

merryberry · 17/05/2010 13:33

hurray, plan

Dontpanic · 17/05/2010 23:57

I'm off & available for partying 2nd week in June, seems too late for you socially deprived mums though ;)

Jfly, eek at the general tactlessness of scan people, they just don't seem to realise they're dealing with humans at times. Hope you have your worries put to rest soon.

And for people still doing exams, hahahahahah!
Oh hang on, I've got one on 3rd July

turtle23 · 18/05/2010 06:11

Am hoping my child will be well again by Monday. Am in tears again at the general unwellness of my household. Why do I send him to hat f^&*ing nursery....

merryberry · 18/05/2010 07:22

because they need to build their immune systems now. if it was 50 years ago, he'd be getting as ill from ploughing in and out of others' houses and and your having endless kids round too. don't beat yourself up about it.

dp come and stay with us a night or two if you fancy a london break? it would mean crashing in our sitting room on the sofa bed, we've got a blow up bed for E would go easily in our boys room. there's lots of kiddie entertainment and a fair bit of shopping to be had locally around here

OP posts:
merryberry · 18/05/2010 07:22

nb, sitting room is over hall from boys bedroom.

Ffrecklefface · 18/05/2010 11:19

Flying visit.

It's a nice idea, Ewe, but I lack the necessary self-dicipline. Would be too tempted to chat watch Ff playing with the others to get anything constructive done.

Second week of June, on the other hand, sounds good. Could plan a trip in to coincide with Dontpanic.

Jfly-must be very frustrating.

Quick wave, ducks back out.

megonthemoon · 19/05/2010 13:03

Woken at 3.30 by DS last night, then again by him at 4, then bloody birds started twittering, then baby started kicking, and then I started fretting about work. Up at 5am for cereal... Managed to get another 90 mins with DH doing morning routine alone so only zonked rather than completely and utterly zonked today. Sigh.

Still, day has got better: DS happy and off to nursery, cup of tea in sunny garden with DH before heading to hospital for scan, baby all well and looks like we're having a DD which we're thrilled about , and then sneaky lunch a deux before heading back to work, rounded off by first sweet juicy English strawberries of the summer (expensive but totally worth it!)

It will probably all start to go downhill now as I have to work this afternoon, but it has been lovely so far!

Hope everyone else is managing to enjoy the sunshine in spite of revision/ailments/sick children/work etc.

JFly · 19/05/2010 15:19

Meg, fantastic news. So pleased for you. What a lovely day you've had.

JFly · 19/05/2010 15:21

Sorry to rain on the good news parade....

Just got call from hospital and 1/5 risk for Downs. CVS booked for this afternoon. Terrifying. Please send lots of good thoughts my way.

Ewe · 19/05/2010 16:19

Oh JFly, sending you all the good thoughts and luck in the world. Hoping and praying you are in the 80%. Lots of love xx

megonthemoon · 19/05/2010 17:15

Oh JFly - I am sending lots of "let your baby be the 80%" vibes in your direction. Do you get the CVS results straight away or do you have to wait? Fingers crossed, and thinking of you and DH.

merryberry · 19/05/2010 21:53

Hope you're OK after the cvs jfly.
it used to take 2-3 weeks,a nd you still wait that long for full report, but there is a quicker more basic test available now, not sure who in nhs is using it. god, any wait is brutal
