New thread idea good jfly!

See what I did, now we are two - for those with new number 2 and expecting number 2.

And all the rest of us who get at least 2 tantrums a day from the 2 year olds.

JFly, thinking of you, just saw the post here x

MB thanks so much for the offer, will def bear in mind tho am cr@p at sleeping on anything less than a tempur...the princess & the pea was probably written about me in a former life.

merryberry · 20/05/2010 07:01

Jfly...sending you big hugs...keep thinking 80% 80% 80%. Hope it isn't too long a wait.

JFly · 20/05/2010 13:09

Thanks everyone. Procedure wasn't too bad, although I felt pretty rough for about an hour afterwards. Now it's a waiting game. They said 2-4 days, so probably won't get results before Monday.

Fingers crossed for 80%!!

timmyinatizzy · 20/05/2010 13:13

Jfly - we had our results from CVS within a couple of days. They tend to phone with the results as soon as they know. Just keep thinking that 4/5 are fine. And the odds sound so much better. Wishing you and your DH luck.

Can't make the meet up on Monday, but i'm free on Monday 14th june if that suits with Ff and DP?

Ffrecklefface · 21/05/2010 13:55

I'm thinking of you, Jfly. Timmy's right, thinking about the number the other way around makes it seem at more positive. Fingers crossed for you.

megonthemoon · 21/05/2010 16:52

How you doing today JFly? Thinking of you lots right now.

DS distraught today at lunchtime departure of grandparents (they came yesterday to babysit while DH and I were out last night and stayed over). He loves both sets of gps so much - so happy when they are here, and so very sad when they go. Takes him at least a week to stop going in to the spare room looking for them.

Hope everyone is able to enjoy some of the sunshine this weekend.

merryberry · 22/05/2010 19:48

JFly, what do you want to do about Monday? x

OP posts:
JFly · 22/05/2010 22:20

Meg, that is too cute. How sweet that he loves them so much.
Am still thinking about Monday. Really want to meet up b ut not sure I'd feel if I got The Call whist out. Still I can't wait around at home either.
At least I'd be among friends! Will let you know if I'm not coming.
The sunshine has def lifted my mood today. So nice to be out and about and enjoy some ice cream!
Going to bbq at BILs tomorrow so will be further distracted with cousins and such.
Hope everyone else having fab weekends.

turtle23 · 23/05/2010 07:11

Jfly- Thinking of you. xx
I don't think I can come tomorrow. T still ill...maybe he will make huge recovery today....doubtful though...

merryberry · 23/05/2010 08:05

i'd like to cancel because of the good weather, bizarrely. i'd be happy to skip public transport over to west london, gg seems to really really melt in the heat. however, we can raise our game if folk want to say, oi! you committed. We still could, would use more cabs though

Jfly, have you someone to hang with tomorrow, I'd be very happy to make that effort!

turtle, is T ok? On fb I think you have been mentioning skin problems?

OP posts:
turtle23 · 23/05/2010 08:16

I think we may have the pox.

merryberry · 23/05/2010 18:50

yes, i am deffo cancelling too please. can't really cope with 29 degrees and public transport. and i woudl really like to spend some time around my house when it isn't being bbq'd by ENDLESS surrounding poor quality pish ups. I'm not joking, out of 72 hours since thursday night there have 7 bbqs in our immediate surrounds and i'm fucking sick of it.

merryberry · 23/05/2010 18:50

nb. immediate = 3 to 10 feet away.

Ewe · 23/05/2010 18:53

Ditto, it's an hour in for me which will be hell I am afraid! Perhaps we should all aim for the date later in June when hopefully it'll be warm but not absolutely baking?!

JFly · 23/05/2010 19:10

Fair enough, chaps. Will hope to see you in a few weeks time.
Will update here as soon as I have any news.

turtle23 · 23/05/2010 19:30

Will be keeping everything x-ed for you J. xx

merryberry · 23/05/2010 21:33

more spots than this am turtle?

OP posts:
megonthemoon · 23/05/2010 23:00

Postponement sounds good to me. DS has dubious rash on chest which is likely just heat rash but could be the pox (was exposed 2 weeks ago), so was going to have to make last minute call tomorrow - if rash had gone fine, but if still there would be cancelling.

JFly - will be thinking of you tomorrow.

turtle23 · 24/05/2010 06:56

btw...not pox. Just foul virus which doesn't like us.

timmyinatizzy · 24/05/2010 08:53

Oh dear. Hope all babies are feeling better this morning. So shall we try for Monday 14th June then?

turtle23 · 24/05/2010 08:58

Sounds good to me

JFly · 24/05/2010 13:17

Good news! Got the all clear. Cannot believe our luck. I'm thinking we need to start playing the lottery!

Have a scan booked for 18 weeks and if everything is normal then they won't do any further testing.

Looks like I just had "weird blood chemistry". Apparently the consultant wasn't surprised at good result as the scan was so good.

Can hardly believe it. Am so relieved and hope I can stay positive and relaxed now for the rest of the pregnancy.

Thanks so much for all your good wishes. It means so much that you're all thinking of me.

merryberry · 24/05/2010 13:25

Hurray JFly, I'm SO pleased for you

14th June in my diary

OP posts:
Dontpanic · 24/05/2010 13:50

sounds like a good reason to celebrate
From what you posted on the scan day, you didn't seem convinced they were on the ball, so glad you've got through that hurdle & have time to enjoy now

Have got 14th in diary, only possible complication may now be my aunt, got a cancer diagnosis last week but at moment we don't know prognosis, so if it's as bad as she thinks, I may be doing some driving about for my mum to make sure she gets over to see her ok. All a bit cr@p since she'd been telling her GP for months that she had a lump in her chest but they kept ignoring it On the plus side, she's beaten off breast cancer before, so I reckon much will depend on how much she wants to fight this one off too.
