Tension Star, which I think is very apt.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/01/2010 21:15

PMT = pre-menstrual tension.

Ds is still not asleep, though just settling off now. His routine is all shifted for some reason at the moment. He got up around 8am, which meant that he was a bugger to get to go for his nap at his normal 1pm (and has been all week), so it was 1:50 by the time he went to sleep, and then 4:20 when he woke .

StarExpat · 27/01/2010 21:22

lol that is making me laugh! Tension! hahahaha

Pepper is your heating fixed yet??? For good?

Pistachio the porn star....

Ronshar, I can bring a cake now, too Now that I know how to use the kitchen!

I'm soooooo tired.
My friend and I are a lot better now, back to "normal".... which is good. But she was having a really hard time last night with a lot of sad stuff going on in her life and started to scare me with things she was saying, so I went over to her house (10 min away so not far) - but at 10pm. Since Q got up at 4.45 and a few times before that, too.... it was a bit of an exhausting day. I'm just beginning, more and more to not be able to handle not sleeping much. Good thing feb holiday is coming up soon.

Hey! Good news! Wait, did I share this already? hope not!
My cm has waived the notice and retainer fee. She said if I just pay her 1 month in advance the first month he's with her, that will be fine. So nothing extra, which is soooo fortunate for me I've signed up to the voucher scheme and trying to get her to do it, too. They just take 243 out of my paycheck each month before tax comes out and then the rest of my pay is taxed. Ithink it saves me money... . She's 200/week or 40/day and I'll pay her half over the summer holiday from mid June through 1st September (it's a LONG time so I had to make a deal with that).
There's also a 50 registration fee when I sign contract, but that will be refunded within the first month's pay She said I seem genuine so she doesn't mind doing it Things all work out in the end. Yay!

She's also going to take him swimming a lot for the first couple of months since he'll be her only child for a little while, which is great as he rarely gets to go!

She'll be doing loads of lovely activities with him and I think he will have a lot of fun. It will be nice when they go to a toddler group as well so he can play with other kids.

Sorry.... I'm rambling on about myself and I need to go to bed!

Oh fabulous news Star! It was worth explaining things to her. Brilliant.

Good name 50ft. Just marking place

ronshar · 27/01/2010 22:35

Star yipee for the CM. I bet you will sleep well tonight.
The things you said about your friend from last night reminded me of a "friend" I used to have. I say used because I had to stop seeing her. I have known her since I was 16. (a very long time). Things got so bad with her constant drama and total lack of interest in my life that I had to just stop being her friend. It all came to a head when I had my MMC and she told me she didnt give a shit because her boyfriend wasnt talking to her about something trivial!!!

Pistachio I too did the cervix checking.

Ksal dont worry it all goes back eventually. The nurse told me after DD1 I had very slack vaginal walls. OOOO the shame. I dont anymore thank you very much!

50ft I dont mind the rummaging so much it is just all a bit icky. It is almost impossible to actually spill any liquid out as most women only shed around 20mls a day at the most. So if you are emptying it as it tells you too on the packet, rather than 24hrs like me[lazy slut] you should be ok.

I have managed to get my mooncup stuck behind my pubic bone before That is quite painful I have to say.
I laughed at the Sarah Palin image. I do like Squirrels, honest.

ronshar · 27/01/2010 22:38

Myjob bugger. I thought we were going to get you along to this one.

Cake always welcome.
Pistachio one will have to be marked with a big red cross as DD1 is allergic to them.
I, however am not, so please bring them along.

With the icing Star if you dont mind

I made sausage rolls tonight. From scratch. Apart from the frozen puff pastry. DD1 did tell me that she could make them on her own so rather burst my bubble!

ronshar · 27/01/2010 22:39

On my own, dont wanna be on my oooowwwwwwwnnnnnn.

I'll go to bed then

night night.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/01/2010 22:42

Did you actually make the sausagemeat from a live pig too ronshar?

50ftQueenie · 27/01/2010 22:48

Tut! DO you mean 'All by myself, don't wanna be, all by myyyyyyyself ANYMORE!!!!" ?

OP posts:
ronshar · 27/01/2010 22:49

CSWS. No I did not I got it out of a packet I found in my freezer

50 ft ok wrong words but it worked.
Battery gonna die so I have to post quick and go to sleep.

I hope you all got some sleep and sorry you were lonely, ronshar.

I'll bring cake that is healthy with fattening and sweet icing Perfect.

I'm very tired. Again. Q is waking up loads in the night lately and I just don't know how much longer I'll be able to handle it.

I must have closed up instead of stretched out from childbirth as they can't even seem to get IN for a smear. And dh doesn't have the easiest time, either.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 08:52

are his molars pushing on through star? They are causing lots of night waking for us at the moment. Ds and I are still in bed after being up most of the time from 4 to 7 this morn. Thankfully dh sorted dd out with breakfast and packed lunch etc, and he's now taking her to school.
At least the molars are now rather than when no3 is here too.

StarExpat · 28/01/2010 09:01

yes, there is one pushing through that I can feel it's so swollen.
He went to bed at 7.
He was up at 8.30
9.45
11ish
1ish
3ish for 45 minutes!
4
4.30
and 5 for the day!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 09:23

Oh dear - that's a lot of wakes. What medicine did you give him?

StarExpat · 28/01/2010 09:25

nurofen. calpol. alternating. This has been going on for over a week now.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 09:31

Molars are a right bugger!

50ftQueenie · 28/01/2010 09:40

I'll join the "We Hate Molars" club. M was up lots in the night and I think it is due to her second molar coming through. She had a combination of teething powders, bonjela, calpol & nurofen. But nothing worked.... She is super grumpy this morning (as is her mummy).

OP posts:
StarExpat · 28/01/2010 09:40

I'm a bit about this but while my class eats their snack going to quick post. last 3 days when i goto collectQ he at first wants to stay with my friend - he doesn't want to come to me Eventually, he will. But it's not like the arms open, squealing happiness it used to be. Not sure why Still happier than anything to see DH when we get home. You'd think he was seeing a fountain of toast and milk playing the theme tune to anything on cbeebies!!

ronshar · 28/01/2010 09:41

Morning.
Star that sounds like my nights for the last week. Molars are the devils work!

I am watching Desparte Housewives from last night. Rubbish TV I know but yipee its fab.

StarExpat · 28/01/2010 09:42

oh yes and baby bonjela. how could i forget that.
going to post in behav/development about my difficulties brushing his teeth

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 09:45

Ah don't take it personally star. Ds wasn't delighted to see me the couple of times he went to the cm either. And he often prefers daddy at the moment. But they are fickle creatures .

Are you guys really suffering like that from just 1 molar each? Ds has at least 3 if not 4 coming through - bits of 3 out already, so expect it's the big flat bit causing grief, and prob a point of the 4th on its way.

He is still asleep! At least it will give me a chance to get back to a normalish bedtime tonight, as I just won't give him a nap today. Might even be able to take him to town this afternoon and check if his feet have grown any. Sure there was something I wanted from John Lewis too, but no idea what.
Aha - sounds like he's waking at last!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 09:46

Aaaaargh ronshar - is there a new series? Was it the first last night? Which channel? I will have to look for a repeat.
