If you lose the string it can wander off! That's about the same as me Myjob. Not worried about rummaging in general. I'm more concerned about getting the contents everywhere! I am clumsy on occasion and it would be terrible if I was clumsy on that occasion!

Thanks Pistachio. That makes sense.

Myjob and I sound like women of loose virtue!

It was more scrunched up and in bits iyswim. blick I can't even face thinking about it again.

50ft maybe you should buy a splashguard with yours?
Yeah, I'd worry about that, too... what if you're in a public restroom and you take it out and slip and it just dumps on the floor then person in the next stall sees blood seeping into their own stall from yours. Or it gets all over your clothes and you come out looking like you've just been stabbed.

50ftQueenie · 27/01/2010 14:39

Star - Have you seen Serial Mom?

StarExpat · 27/01/2010 14:41

I was the same, pistachio. I thought the internal exams hurt worse than the actual contractions.

StarExpat · 27/01/2010 14:41

?

50ftQueenie · 27/01/2010 14:45

It's a film. If you had I was going to mention something but otherwise no worries.

Where do you all stand on the idea of "you eat what you're given or go hungry" at this age? M is refusing to even try her lunch but keeps asking for food. I feel guilty but at the same time she needs to learn.... :-S

OP posts:
StarExpat · 27/01/2010 14:48

interested.... I have the same problem. Dh usually goes and gets a yogurt, toast and organix oat bar - something he knows he'll probably eat and if he doesn't, he looks for something else. I do NOT do this. But then, he just doesn't eat if he doesn't want to.

50ftQueenie · 27/01/2010 14:49

I'm going to get DS to pretend to eat her lunch when he gets home. I guarantee she'll want it then!

StarExpat · 27/01/2010 14:56

SAME here! Dh made Q a toasted cheese with spinach last night and eggs and he had some black beans. Q wanted nothing to do with his plate. So I said, fine, then. He got up and walked around then straight back to Dh and took a big bite of Dh's sandwich. Still wouldn't touch his own food

It's rare for ds to refuse, but he wasn't interested in lunch today (had a bad night with him, so teeth clearly bothering him), so I gave him some blueberries, and then offered his lunch again, with him in a different chair (seems to work ) and he ate a bit, but still not a lot.
I figure they are allowed to not like one or two things, but they don't get a different meal if they are just being picky.

Just had an hour's sleep - lovely. Luckily dh has gone to get dd for me as I'm still bleary and ds still asleep. I haven't even cleared up from lunch yet.

KSal - did you have bucket fanny size before childbirth anyway? If not, then it might be that you need to get that instead of virgin fanny size.

KSal · 27/01/2010 16:08

sadly i have move up to bucket fanny size and still having problems.... i am truly ashamed....

i won't be getting any nice compliments on my downstairs region (unlike pistachio )

pepperrabbit · 27/01/2010 18:39

choosing a SIZE!

We have heat. Trying not to get too excited, just want it to last long enough to warm up the hot water tank - DD stinks of tuna - way too fishy to send to nursery without a bath!

50ftQueenie · 27/01/2010 20:29

Yes Pepper. They come in virgin or slut. Hope the heat and warm water lasts!

Aww, KSal. It must be something to do with being very tall.

StarExpat · 27/01/2010 20:35

lol at virgin or slut! haha!

I've remade the pistachio chocolate cake and it looks... good! I did the online conversion for all the ingredients from grams to cups and got it right . I even made the naughty chocolate icing on page 101.

50ftQueenie · 27/01/2010 20:43

You're making me hungry Star.

Ronshar - I am planning to bring a cake/cakes with me on the 7th. What would be your preference? Cupcakes or a big cake? Chocolate (silly question?) or other?

It was good. SO yummy! Dh even ate a piece (that I let him have ) and said it was good. I think he learned his lesson from last time! The naughty choc icing is very very naughty and fatty but sooooooo sweet and yummy! totally worth it. In fact, I would like another piece. I'll blame pms. You call it pmt, don't you? what does the "t" stand for? PMS is pre menstrual syndrome
