Just managed to resist temptation pistachio, after dd asked if it was a girl, and dh wanted to find out, and I nearly swayed!

StarExpat · 12/02/2010 17:23

OH how exciting having it a surprise!! I'm excited now! If you do find out before it's born... don't tell us

50ftQueenie · 12/02/2010 17:41

It's a girl. I tell ya, it's a pink one.

StarExpat · 12/02/2010 20:42

oh thanks, ronshar I'm glad you and DD1 liked the cake. I was a bit that I used too much flour and it was so dense... but was sort of hoping the icing would soften it... bad thinking, I know!

I took Q to a playgroup today and a granny with her grandson kept tell me how gorgeous Q is. And she kept watching him... nice, but creepy... oh, and she thought he was a girl at first, too.. as did another mom there! He SO looks like a boy and no one ever says he's a girl. he was wearing blue cord dungarees (overalls ) and a white shirt with airplanes (aeroplanes) on it ffs.

I'm feeling really crap re friend again. When will I learn???? No matter what I do, how much I tell her how great she is... no matter what. I'm the bad guy... I don't get it. at all. I know she has her own issues.... but it's about time that people realize that I'm a person with feelings, too! arghhh. She says, "it's not about YOU, star" well, you know what, hey I'm human and I have feelings, .... so.... ugh! No, I know she has a lot on her plate, she's had horrible things happen to her, she just needs me to be a good friend... I'm trying but obviously failing

Hello ladies.... Just popping by. Just want to make sure that families CSWS and Ronshar will be coming to my house on Monday as I am going shopping for provisions tomorrow morning......

Honeymoonmummy · 12/02/2010 22:17

Hey guys, just marking my place. I'm off to bed, pooped!

ronshar · 12/02/2010 22:39

Sick house here too.
We have the bells the red crosses and everything. Not looking good for Monday I'm afraid.
I have a nasty tummy bug. Losing weight though so I could share.
W was snot free for a whole 24hrs and now has a cough like a seal and a massive wheeze.
DD2 has massive tonsils and a very croaky voice.

I win bad mummy because I made her go to school yesterday and today!!

CSWS well done for not finding out. Stay strong.. I pleased all ok with your little baby.
50ft I heard the news about AMcQ yesterday. Very sad. What a waste.

Aubergenie & rachie I hope you both have a good break.

Star dont take her seriously. Start protecting yourself. W was mistaken for a girl in the dr surgery. It must have been the navy coat and green trousers that gave it away.

Hmm. Enjoy your weekend with your little girl.

Pistachio. I hate it when you go for a run and it just makes you feel worse. Rubbish.
I have put my weights up. Finally. Top weight of 12kg now. Half of yours I'm sure.

ronshar · 12/02/2010 22:41

50ft can I let you know by text tomorrow? I will know if W is getting better by then. He is no fun at the moment. Clingy and whingy.

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/02/2010 23:10

I'm still waiting for your address so that I can check the journey times 50ft, but as long as it's around the 1hr20mins that I have in my head then yes, we'll be there. Dd seems brighter today, so only a very unsettled ds to concern me now.

Been out stuffing my face with cake and brownie at a friend's virgin vie party tonight. Very naughty, but hopefully one night off the wagon won't do any long term damage.

50ftQueenie · 12/02/2010 23:21

Oh sorry CSWS I will FB you it.

Oh Ronshar - Sorry your the house of illness now. Don't worry, let me know whenever. We will never have too much food because DH lives here! M has round two of the sickness bug today. Hope you all feel better soon.

It's more like an hour and 40 mins if there's no traffic.

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/02/2010 09:26

Mapquest says 1hr 25mins, so as long as I don't get held up at the hospital (which I obv wouldn't know until the day) we'll give it a go! Should hopefully be able to manage about 3 hrs at yours - need to leave in time to get home by 5.

50ftQueenie · 13/02/2010 10:05

Just about to leave for shopping so excellent timing CSWS!

Q fell out of bed last night (he was in bed with me). It was a pretty loud thud and he did cry. He slept until nearly 8am this morning but lots of wakes as usual... seemed fine today, took a very very short nap (for him... 1hour 20min) then was rubbing his eyes from about 4.30pm but we kept him up until 7pm. He went down with only a small shout (not out of the ordinary).

Should I be looking for anything else in terms of head bump? He hit his head on the bedframe, then on the wood floor I had laid pillows down but of course he fell just below the pillows
Sorry I should know all of this, just suddenly worried. he hasn't vomited - I know that's something to watch for...

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/02/2010 21:59

He sounds fine star. Ds fell (well, more dived really) face and head first off our spare bed one night last week, and apart from a cut on his nose and lots of tears he survived intact.

50ftQueenie · 13/02/2010 22:58

M fell down two stairs today. When I scooped her up I noticed she was holding a small thin, very pointy screw-driver. I couldn't see any blood pouring out of her so assumed she was ok! Silly girl, silly mummy for leaving it within reach.

StarExpat · 14/02/2010 06:53

Poor falling toddlers! I thought he seemed fine, just worried a bit because it was such a loud thud and I was so sleepy when picking him up and since he fell straight back to sleep started to think, maybe I missed something glad to hear it's normal for toddlers to take lots of tumbles!
