What an evening, the phrase blue arsed fly springs to mind. Dh out so I was left with grumpy snotty J. I can't believe he has another cold am very for him and frustrated as he just seems to get one thing after another, all minor thankfully but he is always fighting something. Anyway he is in bed asleep..for now and I am burning a pizza which I now realise should have been defrosted before cooking. Then I need to do some planning for the week after half term but to be honest I feel like eating my pizza in bed and then going to sleep.

I cannot wait for half term.

50ft I have a feeling I will be coming to you for advice when J is older. He already knows how to push my buttons and is a cheeky monkey.

I went to see my friends new baby today, just a week old. I had a two second cuddle before J got all green eyed. I actually didn't feel at all broody. I just kept looking at J trying to tear their house apart and thought how would I cope with 2?

aubergenie · 10/02/2010 20:45

If it's any consolation 50ft, the children have been awful at school too. I think they're getting tired and need that half term break.

Im trying to get sorted for our trip up to Leeds tomorrow. I hope the snow in the east isn't going to bugger up our travel plans.

Star - You're right - I did say all that. I drop S off at 8 and pick him up around 5.45. It's a long day for him, but I know he's really happy with the cm and her family. He loves her children. I try not to work in the evenings but unfortunately my original plans of getting everything done during school hours has fallen by the wayside and I'm often bringing work home, and usually do a few hours at the weekend.

I cried my eyes out at that programme. It reminded me of how scared I was when S's hearbeat kept really slowing down becuase the cord was round his neck. Dp couldn't watch. He finds that whole childbirth thing absolutely terrifying.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/02/2010 20:54

Well I'll be having an early night tonight - please shout at me to go to bed if you see me online after 10pm.
Dd coughed so hard that she threw up in bed at 4am. She went to school at her request, but coughed a lot whilst there, and slept from 4:30-6:30 afterwards. She then went to bed around 7:40, so goodness knows what time she'll be up in the morning - eek!
And of course I still feel like shit and am coughing like anything, and ds has a streaming nose, but has been given medised to try and help him overnight.

Honeymoonmummy · 10/02/2010 21:14

Hey guys, what's all this about another reunion without me???

Honeymoonmummy · 10/02/2010 21:22

Right, I've read up to date now (well, the last few days anyway!) Aubergenie, what are you in Leeds for? When you pass Manchester do give me a wave!

50ftQueenie · 10/02/2010 21:24

Hmm - You knew we were planning a Greenwich meet-up before Christmas.... well it never happened so we're re-thinking it now.

Oh and I'm feeling much better, thanks, managedd to finish at 4.30 after I got my report finished. I'm supposed to be working 8 to 4 and working from home 2 days a week but the current job's a bit manic. I'm loving it tho, I'm just missing my girl. I'm off to bed anyhoo, night all!

StarExpat · 10/02/2010 21:34

yes we were planning a greenwich meet up - one that I could attend!

aubergenie · 10/02/2010 21:43

Hmm - Up in Leeds to see dp's family and some friends of mine up there (I lived there for 3 years a long time ago). Really looking forward to a few days away.

It sounds like fun in the CSWS household. Hope you all manage a decent night.

Right - I'd better get on with my packing.

RachieW · 10/02/2010 21:51

My brother went to uni in Leeds Aubergenie, I visited a few times and really liked it. I've always fancied living there or Manchester, a city but somewhere other than London. I'll never get dh out of London though, he has to be within earshot of the Bow bells or he'll curl up and die or some other kind of Cockney nonsense Enjoy your break.

CSWS this is your 9 minute bedtime warning Hope you all feel better soon.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/02/2010 22:07

Oops - past my curfew. But I was replying to an email from old time MNer Hub2Dee. Off now! Night all.

Oh dear Pistachio. I nearly did the same thing to M coming into the living room yesterday. Luckily for her, when I pushed the door she said "Oh!"

StarExpat · 11/02/2010 12:25

lol pistachio. I hope ds is ok. Q has shut himself in rooms quite a bit but now that he can open all of the doors, we don't knock him over anymore.
I left Q with the cm for 30 minutes while I went to waitrose today. I was so anxious, but he was fine! She said he cried for a few seconds only then was totally happy playing with her. When I returned, he was running around, laughing and wanting to show me the cat!

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/02/2010 13:43

Ooh Twatrose shopping in peace - bliss star!

StarExpat · 11/02/2010 13:46

I only got a couple of things csws as I am now a tesco shopper..... however.... with the new cm and getting the money taken out of my pay pre-tax for vouchers....I'm going to have extra money left at the end of each month now...hmmmm maybe I can start doing ocado orders again

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/02/2010 20:27

Blimey is quiet on here today.

And today's healthwatch update is a temp of 39.4 from dd and another 2 hour sleep after school, dh feeling groggy and sleeping for 2 hours this afternoon (nice to have the chance eh ?). Ds looks to have another incisor through, and is still dripping in snot. My cough still the same low level annoyance, and my blood sugars not great as I feel like eating shit and then feel stuffed.

50ftQueenie · 11/02/2010 20:53

Have you painted a red cross on your door CSWS? Did you carry a little bell to ring on the way to the school? Sounds like fun in your house. Hope you're all feeling better soon.

to Waitrose shopping Star. Glad Q enjoyed the CMs! That must be a big relief.

RachieW · 11/02/2010 20:56

Just popping into say hi. Hope you and all the CSWS family get better soon CSWS. J is now very hoarse but has no temp, is playing and eating fine so I don't think I need to worry..yet

Glad the 30mins with the CM went well Star, does he start properly in a weeks time?

We had J's first parents evening tonight Apparently he is doing very well, gets on with the other babies, tries all the activities and is very gentle with the younger babies. They also showed us his profile book which is full of photos of him playing in the sand, the water, the snow. I said to Dh it's like J has a secret life we know nothing about!

We're off to my Mum's tomo night for half term, am really looking forward to it. Dh is coming for the weekend and then leaving J and I up there until Thurs.

Oh Pistachio don't feel too bad. I banged J's head on the bath and then the other night he cried in his sleep but I was tough Mummy and just patted him and left him to go back to sleep. Realised the next morning his nappy had exploded and he was covered in poo. That would explain the crying. I am the bad Mummy

Ekka · 11/02/2010 20:57

Sorry you've had a rough day CSWS. I'm losing my voice, so bedtime was interesting tonight.

But to give you all a laugh, I totally shamed myself at the garage today. They already think I'm a complete nutter as every time I take the car in I have a list of little niggles for them to look at which, of course, never actually happen while the car is in the garage..... But today, I surpassed myself. We went to collect the car and ds screamed all the way there in the buggy. So I was a bit flustered, and they'd parked my car next to a sign, which meant I couldn't open his door to get him in, so I climbed through from dd's side, and dropped the car keys. Problem was they slid through the seats, and try as I might I just couldn't find them. I was grovelling around for about 5 mins and ds getting more and more hysterical. Eventually I had to go in and admit my stupidity and get one of the guys on reception to come and look for the darn things. He, of course found them in seconds . I may never be able to take my car for service again

50ftQueenie · 11/02/2010 23:23
