That emoticon was made for that article. How strange?

I wish I looked too young to buy a slice of quiche.

StarExpat · 03/02/2010 08:06

Can you get to a station near me? (surbiton) and then you can drive with Q and I down there if you'd like

KSal · 03/02/2010 09:03

finally the daily mail are highlighting the little-known dangers of quiche... perhaps it causes cancer?!

50ftQueenie · 03/02/2010 09:07

Did you see the FB group KSal?

I was going to suggest we pick you up Aubergenie, but then remembered my first born....... Unfortunately we don't have a MPV.

OP posts:
KSal · 03/02/2010 09:28

I did 50ft, very funny

StarExpat · 03/02/2010 15:17

Lol at the quiche incident

50ftQueenie · 03/02/2010 16:48

I did 50 mins on Wii fit today PLUS a 30 min walk to get M to sleep.
I also went to my mum's and made her some cakes as she is starting the Cambridge Diet tomorrow so no real food. I had to test a tiny, tiny bit of cake as I had to improvise a little. I ate about an inch cubed of cake, if that and I now feel really ill from eating wheat. Rubbish.

I haven't been eating anything pre-prepared since dieting again. I can build up a tolerance to wheat and if I started eating it eventually, after a week or so it wouldn't affect me as badly as this. But I would put on weight & would be bloated and tired. I think that it is affecting more than usual because of my hernia. I think that exacerbates indigestion anyway so add that to wheat intolerance and ouch! The Wii fit gives you different types of exercise to do. There are yoga positions to perfect, aerobic exercises, balance games and toning exercises. I have been sticking to doing step exercises on the board but I enjoy some of the balance games too. It's a bit non-sense but it is getting me to do some extra exercise and it is tiring so it can;t be all bad. I do find the 'running on the spot' option a bit strange. Why not go out for a run instead?

I don't tend to do the yoga poses, though the benefit is that it can tell you how your balance is during the pose. I would rather follow my own yoga routine to be honest. Once you know some poses it's easy enough to rotate them. The silliest thing about the running programme thing is that as you run, your Mii (the Wii character) runs on screen through a park with a small dog as a pace setter. Why not go for a run in the park......?

OP posts:
StarExpat · 03/02/2010 19:31

50ft - because it's too COLD to go for a run in the park sometimes... or too HOT, so the Mii helps some people out that way - that's what I think

50ftQueenie · 03/02/2010 19:40

No Star, I don't buy it. Maybe it's so people can exercise in their pjs......

OP posts:
StarExpat · 03/02/2010 19:52

Probably! But I hate the cold. I'll do anything to stay inside in the cold

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/02/2010 20:02

It might be because people can't go out running in the evening because they have children asleep in bed who can't be left .

What time is everyone planning on getting to ronshar's btw? Will take us about 2 hours, but thinking of trying to get away for 9, which would make it an 11am arrival.

50ftQueenie · 03/02/2010 20:04

Hadn't thought of that reason CSWS! Not sure what time we'll get there.

OP posts:
StarExpat · 03/02/2010 20:04

lol csws totally forgot about not being able to go out because of not leaving Q

StarExpat · 03/02/2010 20:05

No idea on ETA yet. I'll know more tomorrow evening.

ronshar · 03/02/2010 20:34

Aubergenie the station is just down the road and I can come and pick you up no problem. I am on the main Victoria line out of London. You would need either the Southhampton or Littlehampton train.

CSWS is right. I did say that you can bring along how ever many cakes you can fit in all your cars [hint] but I would need to know which ones had nuts in so DD1 didnt eat some. We do have an epi pen but not sure the cakes are that nice

Can I have a rough idea of how many are coming and also most importantly what people cant eat.

I know that;
Dairy for several babies, no problem as already DF for W.
No wheat,
No high sugar,
No meat (except a little bit of chicken)
Can you or will you eat Quorn?

DH was thinking of making a Thai green curry & rice. He makes from scratch so can be what ever we want.
CSWS are you ok with rice or does it have to be brown?

You are all fussy buggers If you were my children you would finish your plate or go to bed hungry.

I am still all abit about the DH family situation. Not sure what to do about it all. Did I tell you that sis in law phoned me up because she heard I was upset? She informed me that she thought it would be the best present in the world for her mum to see just her children! All said with a smile in her voice as if it makes it all ok. Stupid bitch. Sorry not normally so harsh but I am .

ronshar · 03/02/2010 20:35

Get the ski game for the Wii. Bloody brilliant.

Aubergenie. Not nice not being able to trust people is it. Makes life hard for you.

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/02/2010 20:44

I can't do rice at all at lunchtime ronshar, whatever colour it is . tbh I struggle with pretty much all carbs at lunch. But I'm more than happy to bring something for myself. I can just roast a load of meditteranean type veg the night before and bring some to stick in the micro with some cold chicken. I really don't want everyone else to be restricted to the extent that I am.
I don't think that dd would eat thai curry either mind, although she'd be quite happy with just a load of plain rice, which she loves .

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/02/2010 20:45

We are ok with small amounts of dairy now though, so it's the other fussy buggers causing this problem .

pepperrabbit · 03/02/2010 20:46

evening, I'm having a thankfully inauspicious birthday on sat and all my family over on Sun so there won't be any Peppers coming to yours ronshar I'm afraid.
I hope you all have a lovely time and take photos and post them on fb so I can see all the cakes babies together!

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/02/2010 20:48

Are you ever going to make a meetup pepper? We might get a complex and start to think that you don't like us .

Forgot to add that there will be myself, MrCSWS, dd (4 on Monday so can we pretend that the cakes are her birthday cake?!), ds and a weeny bump who doesn't eat much really .
