Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Miamla · 14/01/2010 22:16

yup, planning on making dress. i've just found a shop in London that only sells pregnant bride dresses so i'm going to pop along to get some ideas of styles that would suit
Ooooooh, can't believe this is really happening!!!!

cc poor O. at least he doesn't seem down about it, poor little thing though

yay dizz the wedding planner is in the building!!! (i'm off to google isabella oliver!)

sazz i'm liking the fascinator idea!

seriously, I'd love to have you all there for the ceremony and party and everything but the limit for guests is 80 (because we're having a few men from the choir) and that just about covers both of our huge families! BUT.... if we have it at the zoo, there'd be nothing stopping you visiting the zoo for the day Anyhow, its a serious offer so have a serious think about it!

Miamla · 14/01/2010 22:19

i certainly could
its the wrap bit around the boobs i like. and its perfect for a growing bump. i could just cut the front panels extra long and then hem it a week before or something

there's people on our list who i've never even met There was a flurry of activity from DP's family when we announced our engagement...sending us cards and cheques and stuff! so a couple of them are on the list but my rule is, if DP doesn't know who they are then they're not invited, even if they're his family!

Miamla · 14/01/2010 22:39

lol, have i bored everyone into going to bed early?

so today you guys have found me the venue and my dress! what are we going to do tomorrow? take over the world?!

cool, i'm glad you've got something interesting to work on. It'll keep you out of mischief....at least for a few hours a week!

DS stole a hula hoop from me today was his first crisp!

Miamla · 14/01/2010 23:09

blimey, just seen the time! must get some sleep in tonight so i'm refreshed and ready for our chocolate/crisp eating tea/coffee drinking marathon tomorrow

i've said it before, and i'll say it again but you really are all lovely and i really appreciate your help/support/smiles etc etc

night all,

poppysocks · 14/01/2010 23:17

You inspired me miamla to finally, after 3.5 yrs , to put our wedding photos in the album. 'Twas a lovely day and sooo much about the marriage rather than the hulaballo of a big wedding. However, the more I think about it (and look at the photos of my gaping dress and flowers that are the wrong colour for the dress- TOTAL lack of attention to detail), I do think we'd have enjoyed it more if we hadn't had a baby to worry about. We did manage a honeymoon, but I ruined that with a migraine, although not exactly helped by DD1 tagging along either. Still, we plan to get a proper honeymoon for our 10th anniversary. So, only another 6.5 yrs to wait.... Gorgeous dress btw and a friend went to a wedding at Marwell Zoo last year and said it was just fab, fab, fab.

Glad you've got a kick ass project sazzles.

Sorry DH is suggesting a move buckets. Have you thought about picking up some sales work - flexible work that can be lucrative if you're good at it? You're brilliant at expressing your enthusiasm on here so if you find something that you feel passionate about and will pay for you how perfect would that be??

springaporesling · 15/01/2010 01:10

Miamla why oh why did you have to put it in weeks! DB getting married on Easter Monday meaning I have that amount of time to lose 2 stone - hmm....

Don't worry about invites to the wedding it's the hen night we're interested in

CaptainCaveman · 15/01/2010 07:58

Have you noticed that since i got this laptop, I keep posting on here with far more frequency than at anytime since either being pg or on mat leave?

miamla have you settled on a date yet?

poppy did you like your secret santa gift

O a bit grumpy this morning but the spots are less raised. I'm wondering if it was a reaction to something he ate. That would explain the 'alleged' d&v yesterday, and a rash. His eczema seems worse today, and a reaction to something would set that off . Might pay a visit to the gps....

hotterpotter · 15/01/2010 08:18

Laptops are fab aren't they cece Although I am at work...

springy I have just counted and it's 11 weeks to Easter (and my birthday, yay!) Get thee over to the HotMamas quick smart. I can't promise two stone but I'm sure we can bully help you into losing one of them!

So tired again today, both DC playing merry hell on and off last night, poor DH spent most of the night on DD's floor again. And I am feeling a bit fed up after seeing that lovely house Buckets linked to, there is nothing like that in my price bracket up here

hi hots, the perfect house will appear when its ready

poppy, pleased i was a good influence on you!

plans for today...booking registrar, venue and entertainment! i might even order some fabric samples as well

hotterpotter · 15/01/2010 08:46

3rd April one of the best dates in the whole year

Miamla · 15/01/2010 08:56

oh good grief...the 3rd is easter weekend...does that matter?????!!!! (thanks hots, only realised after your comment!)

hotterpotter · 15/01/2010 08:59

It might make trains a bit more expensive but that's for your guests to worry about! And it does mean you have a whole 11 weeks to plan...

oopsandbabycoconut · 15/01/2010 09:01

If anyone is planning a visit to the zoo for no particular reason on the 3rd April feel free to crash at mine DH is deserting me to go to Belfast for work for the entire Easter week!

oopsandbabycoconut · 15/01/2010 09:09

Morning forgot to add breakfast - toasted bagels, cream cheese, fruit and plain yog. Tea, coffee and hot choccie.

CC hope O's rash is nothing to worry about.

Miamla · 15/01/2010 09:13

oh ooops!!! it'd be lovely if you do happen to be there on the 3rd

right, registrar's booked. 2.30 on the 3rd it is
can't believe this is actually happening!!!!

hots pleased to see my calculations were wrong and in fact we've got 11 instead of 10 weeks!

Miamla · 15/01/2010 09:17

oh and we mentioned the zoo idea to my mum and mil last night...both were speechless initially, mil warmed to the idea. my mum has apparently promised she'll visit my bro in april And she hates the zoo idea so i've set her the task of finding somewhere better but equally original! needless to say, i'm going ahead with organising the zoo. there is no way she's going to miss it and i know this is just a little strop she's having!

Miamla · 15/01/2010 09:32

venue's booked!
