Hey TS enjoy those squeaky clean DDs

Haven't seen the Diary of a Call Girl but do know that Billie Piper is hot if you like her in that you should give Doctor Who a go!

Bed time for me I think, knackered after DD's early morning shenanigans. Night all

oopsandbabycoconut · 25/01/2010 23:17

YAY Miamla and Pea - I guessed I was cooking another girl as the symptoms were very similar and started at the same time as with DD. YAY - I have to say the 30th is a great day to have a DC if you can arrange it!

Ann - happy new home.

LNT - Welcome back

Sazz - did you have a good weekend?

Am slowly trying to catch up but this stupid little netbook is horrible to read from for any period of time!

HP - DC3??

Will do some more catching up then be back once DD and DH are having their morning nap

cyteen · 25/01/2010 23:22

OMG YAY! My friend has had her twins, two little boys - just seen a very proud announcement from Daddy on FB Gladness abounds.

Also LOLing at you lusty lady we had really got out of the habit of having sex since DS was born, only managed it a handful of times . I think it's true the less you have it the less you want it, anyway we have made a pact to do it once a week whether we really feel like it or not and it already seems to be working well to make us happy again

Sheesh the stuff I share on here

TwilightSurfer · 25/01/2010 23:24

Morning Oops. How is Tuesday? Good??

HP I think she's a brilliant actress at least in the role she's playing in the show. As for Dr Who...I've not seen an episode since the 70's.

hotterpotter · 25/01/2010 23:25

Hello Oops from the other side of the world hope you enjoyed the barbie!

Cyteen that is lovely news, two new babies to sniff. Just be careful you don't get too broody over them

Really going now...

oopsandbabycoconut · 25/01/2010 23:26

HP you need Buckets 7 day challenge

Cyteen - yay for new babies

TS - Tuesday is fab and sunny with a gentle breeze. Australia day here so Bank holiday with lots of street parties!

TwilightSurfer · 25/01/2010 23:37

springaporesling · 26/01/2010 02:11

Dizzy am around if you can't sleep. Oops glad you're having a fun time and Happy Australia Day to you!

Miamla so pleased the scan went well.

Cyteen lovely news.

CaptainCaveman · 26/01/2010 06:33

Good morning, once again a wake up with a 5 pre-fix , although 5.40 is an improvement on 5.10!

miamla lovely scan news, I have no idea of the flavour of your pea...my best guess is that you are having a baby!!

cyteen there is something magical about twins (says she, a non-twin mother!). Not so sure I could cope with all things newborn X2 though . However, when its someone else, it is lovely news

I told dh last night that some of you will be visiting here on 16th Feb. His reply: "what, to our house? A bunch of strangers?!" He relaxed visibly when I said I had met you all before. Sheeesh, these men. If any of you are really unlucky you might even meet MrCavey

TS you need to check out the newer series of Dr Who, esp the ones with David Tennant

CaptainCaveman · 26/01/2010 06:36

I realise that having been first to post for the past few mornings, I have been a very slack host....

Do help yourself to the virtual spread

GladioliBuckets · 26/01/2010 08:14

LOL Was just wondering if TS would indeed go for David T but in the Dr Who character, nobody could fail to fall for him. LOL also that TS connected SATC to Belle Du Jour - was it Homer Simpson who called SATC '3 hookers and their mom'?

oopsandbabycoconut · 26/01/2010 09:54

Evening Ladies

Have just brought a very tired DD back to bed, she didn't last to the fireworks but we can watch from the balcony. Australia day is an amazing celebration of this diverse country, today we have been to a huge peoples parade, a BBQ, free concert in the park, walked through some amazing crafty markets (bought Hector a little babygro)everyone was very proud to be Aussie regardless of their heritage, there was no trouble, no police (apart from supervising and giving directions) everyone joined in and partied together.

DH has just been out to get chinese for dinner and htey were out fo what I wanted so he got what he thought I might like, which would normally have been fine but I seem to be a hormonal mess ATM and I burst into tears at my dinner poor bloke didn't quite know what to do, I explained there was nothing wrong with chicken and veg but it wasn't what I was expecting but he did bring fresh hot doughtnuts to follow.

Miamla - I had a cyst with DD and it burstresolved itself buy my 20 week scan. I am pleased you can keep your 12 weeks scan it is amamzing how much they change in 3 weeks.

Dizzy - {{{HUGS}}} sleep tight lovely

QueenofDreams · 26/01/2010 11:17

Morning ladies.
miamla loving your scan news
Hi LNT good to see you back.

As for the new house, no it's no closer to DP's work. We needed to stay with the same letting agency so they could roll our deposit over. We could not have got a full deposit together. Travel wise it's ok - DP's been getting the fast train back, so even if he works till 7.30 he's back by 8.30. He's talking more and more about looking for a new job at least. There are loads of issues there at the moment and he's getting fed up of it all.

oops ooooh very very of your trip to Oz.

dizzydixies · 26/01/2010 12:12

VG/Buckets our new girl isn't registered and works at ours but she came highly recommended by Poppy so it couldn't have worked out better. I advertised on Gumtree for a mothers help and took it from there - I don't have much time to go into it but you know where I am if you need me later xx

miamla- lovely lovely lovely news

welcome home Sazz

Oops - all sounds brilliant and loving seeing your photos on FB

love to all else, hate fecking shift work but ladies, am SIGNING THE CAFE LEASE TOMORROW

luckoftheirish · 26/01/2010 13:20

lovely news miamla!!!

very oops.. sorry about your mini melt down but you are pregnant and allowed ..

ohhh dizzy how exciting ..

i am unbelieveable shattered at the moment have no energy and its doing my head in.. [just thought i would share that with you all]...

just been telling the ladies on hotmamas that the dress i bought for my 70s night on sat is horribly short and see thru .. not a great look at the best of times but in the depths of winter?? ay ideas on how i can cover up withoutdestroying making it look good???

cyteen · 26/01/2010 17:14

loti get some flared loon pants from a charity shop? They usually seem to have racks of the things, and since as I recall you're quite slim, you should have no trouble fitting into them. That should solve the shortness problem...see-thru though, well, I'd probably just brazen it out with a bra and wear an enormous afro wig to draw the eye upward

Moving on...

dizzy yay for you, just remember YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN, you with your dreams and your drive. You beat those woolly souls into shape and got the community a new cafe. Huge congratulations It will all be worth it.

oops what can I say but

Been out in town with DS all day: met a friend at the museum who've I've not seen for ages (last time she saw DS he was a babe in arms!) and that was lovely, so great to catch up with her. Then had lunch with DP, took the deposit for the reception to our venue , took DS to John Lewis for a scone and a run around, got fruit and veg from the market, then home...that's my workout for the day. DS has just inhaled a big bowl of chicken curry with dhal (feel sorry for nursery tomorrow, ha ha) and is now chilling out on the floor

Hi. Made a trip to the Emergency Room last night. It was for me. Remember me saying several days ago (here or facebook, I forget) that I felt like crap. Well it seems I was passing a kidney stone. Last night was it's appearance. Although the lab failed to find it. I was in little to no pain BUT bled like I'd been ripped open with a machete. Possibly it had gotten stuck on Saturday or Sunday so infection set in. Blah Blah Blah. So stone gone. On anti-B's for bladder infection. Tireder than a newborn mom with twins who don't sleep. The cool side is I scored a CT Scan of my midsection which I got to look over with the doctors because I'm such an awesome patient. There's TWO more of those crazy things in me, one in each kidney. Now all I have to do is see my GP in the morning to figure out how to naturally make them go away.

Captain thanks for the breakfast btw. I was being refused food and water at the time so it was quite a delight to have.

Oops you sound like you've had a dreamy day. Don't mind the crying spell. I do that and I'm not pregnant anymore.

Cyteen you've also had some dreamy days lately. Life sounds good for you.

Lucky do you want my reunion dress? I'd be happy to post in over to you. Just needs knee high boots.

Buckets the two shows are totally similar in their arrangement and presentation. The Call Girl one is much much more graphic. Even made DH blush. He walked in the door last night just as Belle went down a bloke. I had to quickly catch him up on the story so he properly understood I was NOT watching porn.

I will have a look at this new Dr Who fellow. The guy I remember from years ago had a curly, bushy affroey looking hair do. Not very sexy in my book.

TwilightSurfer · 26/01/2010 18:21

to Dizzy & Ann

CaptainCaveman · 26/01/2010 18:51

Aha, TS that must be Tom Baker of whom you speak, with something akin to pubic hair on his head? Poor you on the kidney stone . Allegedly as painful as childbirth (only a man could have suggested that) but since I have never a) had a kidney stone or b) gone through labour, I really am not best placed to judge

oops utterly understandable re tears over food. I once cried in tesco when pg with ds1 because they had no prawns left on the shelf

loti...is there some news you wish to share with us? Tiredness....??

dizzy yay for lease signing . When do you open? I'll pop up for a cup of tea and a slice of cake

luckoftheirish · 26/01/2010 19:59

evening all ..

my girls are giving me the right all merry dance tonight with dd2 refusing to go to bed and dd1 using all the tricks in the book to leave her room and dh out tonight ho hum..

ouch ts poor u hugs.. hopefully the antibio will make u feel better and they come up with an easy solution to disperse the remaining 2 stones.. many thanks for the dress offer but as party is sat i fear the dress would not turn up in time...

i have now ordered another dress bright yellow with yellow boots.. will await with bated breath to see what arrives in the post!!

watcha cece

CaptainCaveman · 26/01/2010 20:19

Deftly dodging the question there loti . Are you pg? Excessive tiredness....maybe I am just extra paranoid?
Do you have a link to your outfit? You are braver than I to wear yellow, although I do have a rather YELLOW mac, courtesy of the Boden sale whilst we were pg

Must go change my jumper as there is a definate aroma of cheesy youghurty baby puke....

cyteen · 26/01/2010 20:25

Aw TS that sounds really grim, I hope you're taking it easy now. Although getting a look at your scans is cool. My brother had a copy of his spinal x-ray after the first lot of surgery that was done, to show airport security folks in case he set off any metal detectors. It was COOL.

Dreamy days sounds about right to me. I'm having a major DS love-in at the moment, he is so delightful. I was remembering the other day, coming back from my 20 week scan and telling you all that I was having a boy; the start of all my wondering about who he would be, the start of falling in love I suppose. That feeling's never gone away, I still get it every time he smiles at me or does something new. Even though our days are pretty mundane to the outside eye, they're all golden to me.

Just making dinner and then probably hitting the sack mega-early, it's fricking freezing here!
