ronshar · 17/12/2009 21:44

Are you talking about the programme DH was watching set in Le Manoir?

aubergenie · 17/12/2009 21:45

50ft - I even rang my sister so I could talk about it with someone, but she'd been out and hadn't seen it either! I totally agree with you BTW.

Star - did you go out with your friend?

So, has anyone got any snow then?

aubergenie · 17/12/2009 21:46

Yes, Ronshar!!

ronshar · 17/12/2009 21:50

Auberbenie there is a teleaddicts thread about it going on now. You can talk to others there. With no fear of spoiling.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/12/2009 21:51

I have no idea what you're talking about, so don't feel the need to keep quiet on my account!

I am finally up to date with House now ronshar, so you are allowed to talk about that at last.

What age is the integral booster safe from ronshar?
Dd can't do up her own seatbelt yet (though can undo it), but she doesn't want to sit on the back row by herself - she wants to sit on the same row as the new baby, and preferably on the same row as ds too . If she'd go in the back row by herself then we could prob remove the centre console in the middle row and she could climb through that way without us having to take any carseats out (talking about current car here).

I think we'll have to take a look at the Chrysler Grand Voyager, the multipla (used to have one, and was great car, but not at all luxurious), the Galaxy, the XC90, the SMax and I'm not sure what else.

Did I mention that I entered the competition on here to win a 3 week test drive of the SMax, and although I didn't win it, I did win a £50 John Lewis voucher instead .

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/12/2009 21:52

Yes to snow - started this evening, and dh popped to Asda as soon as the kids were in bed and struggled to get back up the hill to home (was in his car, not my 4x4).

50ftChristmasTree · 17/12/2009 21:55

Yes we have!!! SNOW!!!!! Yay!

Aubergenie - There was a thread on here, you could have joined in on that! I went on it to say my bit.......

Ronshar - Are you an advocate of the Mooncup then? I know we talked about it on here a while ago and knew that CSWS had one (which is obviously still gathering dust ) but couldn't remember who else. So is it easy to use? Some tampons make me nearly vomit when I remove them. Tis not pleasant.

Is the C4 Picasso the same as the Xsara (sp?) Picasso? Loads of my friends (inc the one we've talked about on fb) have those, and they aren't big by my standards. I WANT BIG!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/12/2009 22:02

And ronshar - do you put adults in the back row of yours ever? When we've sat in them before we've said that they very much aren't adult seats, whereas adults can sit in complete comfort in the back row of ours.

50ftChristmasTree · 17/12/2009 22:03

No it's the new one CSWS and it is massive. We looked at one and DH felt a bit wobbly at the idea of having to drive it! There is a C3 Picasso and a C4 Picasso, the C3 is a bit rough round the edges but the C4 is huge. I reckon you would get three car seats without the need for the extra bit but only the outer two have Isofix IRC.

I'm a Mooncupper 50ft. Brilliant invention. I can't bear the thought of all that fluff from tampons being left inside. It takes some practice and you do have to rummage around a bit but it's worth persevering.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/12/2009 22:09

Cut the stem off. Almost completely. Really. I could feel it until I did.

Off to google C4.

50ftChristmasTree · 17/12/2009 22:09

I know what you mean about the fluff Aubergenie. So, and there are three big issues for me: a) is it odorous? b) how do you know when it's time to empty? With tampons you can feel the bubbling and c) what do you do when you're out and about? How do you wash it in communal toilets?

50ftChristmasTree · 17/12/2009 22:10

Oh and....... the snow has settled, there's loads of it! Woooohoooo!

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/12/2009 22:13

It's a 5 seater and has engine sizes starting in a 1!!!! Dh will be laughing his head off looking at this!

The back is a little small for grown ups, but that is what children are for. Not sure about age but DD2 sits in it quite happily. She is a small 5.
50ft. Yes most def. No period pain now. I am really lazy and often forget it is there. So I go for a once a day empty. It does take a bit of getting used to the rumaging around. You can tip and wipe if you are out and about.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/12/2009 22:15

a - no
b - when it's been in all day and you suddenly think 'ooh, i suppose I ought'
c - You can squirt it with a water bottle, use a disabled toilet with a sink in, or what I do, which is never need to change it in a public toilet because you can leave it in for so long (and I have VERY heavy periods too)!

ronshar · 17/12/2009 22:15

CSWS, have you looked at Honda FRV? It has three seats across the front one of which you can move back. Good for your DD maybe.

Ah, small 5 is good, as dd will be 4 and a bit, but is big for her age. Will def go and look at one.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/12/2009 22:18

I ruled out Hondas after looking at the CRV years ago, and discovering that you can't disable the front airbag in them. But I could look again I suppose.
