August 2008 - I wish it could be Christmas every day, with the TV rows and the ILs you'd like to slay-ay-ay.

Hmm might be a bit early for a festive thread title but thought we could get in the mood.

None of that tasteful two colour decoration scheme in my tent - oh no. The gawdier the better.

Aaaarrrrggghhhhh rogue apostrophe

dixiecringles · 01/12/2009 19:00

I love Mary-Janes

do you really think girls are better? I'd SOOOOOOOOO fed up with all the shoe manufacturers thinking all girls want to wear are pale pink/white shoes that are ruined after one wear - I love the boys GEOX ones, great bright colours and lovely and chunky

oops seeing as its now starting chucking it down I'm not hopeful for snow

do you like my new christmas name or should it be dizzycringles? I'm never sure if I should keep the dizzy or the dixie?!

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 01/12/2009 19:27

HO! HO! HO!

dixiecringles · 01/12/2009 19:31

ROFL its either the second coming or another immaculate conception - which is it

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 01/12/2009 19:32

No - Dizzy we are in a coconut together he is not as DH so kindly put it 'the fruit of my loins'

dixiecringles · 01/12/2009 19:35

glad we cleared that all up!!

now see I think I should change mine as everyone tends to call me Dizzy and not Dixie - what if someone mistakes me?!?!

then again there are several Dizzy people on MN [common emoticon]

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 01/12/2009 19:37

did you not see my crisps comment? or were you just ing it?

dixiecringles · 01/12/2009 19:40

I did see it sorry, was trying to ignore it or I'd be through eating some contraband stuff and get a right talking to from that tyrant Sazz

so is it Dizzy or Dixie - am having a crisis of identity now [meep]

LentilsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 01/12/2009 19:48

I hope things are better with your mum, VG. Health service fecked I agree...

Cyteen-nobody tells you how draining those whingy days are. With a job you can walk away for a bit, or switch to a different task and there isn't really that option when they are this age.

Glad to hear the boy is still squiggly though.

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 01/12/2009 19:50

Dizz- Dizzycringles flows better but which ever you feel is more you.

evening all, DS not been sick for 12 hours
I, on the other hand, haven't got such a good record

right, off to catch up

dizzycringles · 01/12/2009 19:55

ladies of Aug 08 have spoken and it is done

dizzycringles · 01/12/2009 20:00

or should it be dizzyjingles - too many choices!!!!

cyteen · 01/12/2009 20:14

hotter nice boots, glad to see you've got your shopping priorities straight

Thanks everyone for the kind words but I'm not sure I deserve them...when I did eventually check his temp again it was 40.5 No wonder he was so unhappy I guess this afternoon's Calpol had worn off. Have dosed him again and had splashy bathtime/bedtime cuddles, hopefully he'll get some rest although he has been coughing himself awake every 5 minutes so far.

miamla glad at least one of you is on the mend...when you said 'off to catch up' I thought you meant with vomiting.

DS was sick this morning, all over the kitchen floor. I'm 99.9% sure it was a rogue piece of apple that triggered his gag reflex and he hasn't yakked since, but do I tell nursery? I really can't not be at work this week...

dizzycringles · 01/12/2009 20:25

I wouldn't say its quite as big in the living room or kitchen but the finish is nicer - has a double in one room and a single in the other although its big enough for a double bed

hotterpotter · 01/12/2009 21:18

Oh please everyone stop being so organised with your shopping and your name changing and your card writing etc etc etc. It is not nearly Christmas, oh no [meep] feck I am going to have to sit down and really think about presents. Arse.

dizzycringles · 01/12/2009 21:22

hots - yours are young enough to get away with it, DD1 has cottoned on to it all now and DD2 is just rolling with it

I haven't done any of the hard bits, e.g the MIL etc so I'll need to get thinking about that
