Hmm might be a bit early for a festive thread title but thought we could get in the mood.

None of that tasteful two colour decoration scheme in my tent - oh no. The gawdier the better.

Nice work Sazz. I am v chuffed to be wearing the Size 12 jeans! I really am, I didn't have to lie or anything! They are v comfy, I totally get why people bothered to give feedback on the Littlewoods site. Cyteen You should get some, they really are like Spanx!

CC if you want in, FB me your address and I'll send you an address to send a gift to. £5 budget, doesn't have to be homemade.

My dad has such a weird idea of kitchen-building priorities, still no sign of tiling which means no electrics which means no fridge. Doors on all the cabinets though so that'll help keep any food fresh. Sigh.

steaknife · 23/11/2009 14:39

wotcha. [drapes cosy blanket over Dizzy]

Trying to arrange interview but friend has meetings all day Friday - and suggested meeting at 6 - I think she was a bit when I said, "oh that's bedtime".

Jobcentre will pay the fare but only do an overnight stay if interview is early or late. At the mo I think I might just do interview on Thursday as mum can have Iz and take Sazz up on lift from Swindon on Saturday for meet up.

DD and I both shattered as she had a two hour midnight yodelling session and still woke at 6
She managed a half hour nap before baby group but is most resistant this afternoon. Think I might wrap us both out and brave the sea-front.

oh and DD can now say Bye-bye - well more bah-bah [melt] and when we cross the road and the green man beeps she beeps her nose [double-melt]

Popping on quickly to report that thanks to Sazzles all plans had to be remade this today because MidiSurfer thought MidiSazzles kitchen was better. Shall I just say, if you haven't already secured said kitchen you attempt to do so in the next 24 hours. I've been all over town this morning. Employed my Dad & his wife in the hunt. Frantically went through "out of stock" after "out of stock" web note and FINALLY, YES FINALLY found the kitchen in stock and ready to ship. Delivery is scheduled for December 1st.

Will formerly catch up and post once I've accomplished a few more things in my elf hat.

dizzydixies · 23/11/2009 16:32

had a complete red mist moment with DD2 and am now feeling even worse. I have the AGM tonight too so I think I'd better keep my mouth shut

oopsandbabycoconut · 23/11/2009 16:43

Dizzy - HUGS to you. You have every reason to be grumpy and stroppy today. Don't worry about DD2 with a bit of a cuddle and snuggle she will have totally forgotten about it. Can yo not avoid AGM tonight and cuddle up on the sofa with choccie, DH and a movie? You have been really ill combined with today is would be enough for most people but you have so much more on your plate too, please look after yourself.

DD and I had a nap at 11 for 1.5 hours and then headed out to the wonderful world of tesco as I discovered DD has no jumpers/hoodies or fleeces that fit properly. We met a firend who announced she is expecting her second too 3 days after us - it will be great to have some local company.

Sazzles - hope you didn't get as wet as we did just getting to the car! Good news on the payrise and bonus.

TS - I like the kitchen.

Hi Cece, Steaky and everyone else.

TwilightSurfer · 23/11/2009 17:33

ARRRGGGHHHHH!!! My MIL is NOW trying to BUY pay for OUR SANTA GIFT!!!!! Okay...so she probably had no clue we'd already gotten the wheel rolling BUT two years ago I told her we were getting a cute little play piano for DD1 and they show up with an electric keyboard. Seriously!

I'm getting nothing done!!! I have guest arriving in 4 hours. The house is trashed. Reese won't let me put her down. She's fussy, crying, and I'm thinking TEETHING like a mad dog on the last of her teeth. Can you believe once these 4 are in THAT's IT...she has ALL her teeth!!

(((((HUGS)))))) DIZZY

QueenofDreams · 23/11/2009 18:24

HI ladies, just popping in quickly
We had quite a disturbed night last night. But S didn't nap yesterday, so I'm wondering if that was the problem.
MIL has had him all afternoon, but that means he hasn't napped again. Anyway - off to finish making his dinner, get him fed etc, will pop back on once bedtime has been acheived.

CaptainCaveman · 23/11/2009 19:50

Blimey TS, go Reese with your super teething speed! O still only has the 7, the last of which appeared at the end of August! He's one laid back boy....

ann hope S sleeps better tonight

buckets have fb'd you my addy for secret santa

re. missing af - have checked with CBD and she says no

cyteen · 23/11/2009 20:16

dizzy from one motherless child to another, I hereby absolve you of the red mist guilt. Your DD2 isn't exactly the shy retiring type, I think she'll understand fighting fire with fire more than most.

Be kind to yourself I was thinking of you today.

Hello to everyone else oops that is lovely news, having a bump buddy is such fun (albeit a term that makes me cringe ).

Have had a lovely, lovely day with my gorgeous little boy today. I didn't realise how much being ill was affecting him until he was back to normal, iyswim. Am about to dish up dinner so I'll see you all later.

Cece - we have 12 teeth here the only ones that are noticably missing are her eye teeth.

Have made DH chicken, prawn and chorizo paella for dinner and I had cheese toasties DD has had some tixylix and seems to be sleeping soundly. Although I have just realised DH forgot to bring the monitor down.

DD is getting a load of wooden kitchen stuff: pots, pans, food etc for christmas We might leave the kitchen until next year when she is a little older. Other than that I am stumped!

I also need to find a birthday pressie for DH and am contemplating planning a night away as a surprise. The ILs are away in Germany for 10days from the 8th So I might have to plan it for then!

DH is watching Terminator 3 and I am trying to plan our trip to Aus - with no input from him what so ever - I am just using his Amex to pay for things

Back later
