Hmm might be a bit early for a festive thread title but thought we could get in the mood.

None of that tasteful two colour decoration scheme in my tent - oh no. The gawdier the better.

forgot to tell you... when i first told DP that 'we've got a baby coming on saturday' He replied 'that was quick, thought it usually took 9mths!" Oh he's such a witty boy!

Sazz... okey dokey

oh and DP said you can all bring your babies!

happy birthday to MissHots for tomorrow

who was embarrassed about enid blyton books? i LOVED them all!!!

hotterpotter · 23/11/2009 22:23

Me too re Enid Blyton, especially Malory Towers. I soooooooooo wanted to go to boarding school

hotterpotter · 23/11/2009 22:36

I bought a helium balloon for DD today, they put it in a carrier bag in the shop for me, but when I got off the bus it (and the bag)had disappeared I don't think it could have drifted up into the sky because it had a little weight tied to the string... very strange (or very very slack mummy)

miamla · 23/11/2009 22:42

that's such a shame about the balloon. i hope it was found by another little child. balloons get lonely on their own

hotterpotter · 23/11/2009 23:01

Oh my, I have just read the Charlie Brooker webchat, I heart him (well, as I may have mentioned before I would rather do something else to him ), he was fab.

Why is it I have a miserable, misanthropic, sweary, excessive video game-playing DH but all those things annoy me in him, whereas in Charlie I lurve them

hotterpotter · 23/11/2009 23:04

Right busy day tomorrow and I will have to miss my lie-in to come downstairs at the crack of dawn with DD so I'd better be off to bed.

Off to dream of Charlie read my book

Night all

snotexpectingsnow · 24/11/2009 04:06

DS looking much less spotty today. He only has 8 teeth still - am a little bit of those with only 4 left to appear as at least that's one less pain for them to suffer for a while.

Can't remember what else I had to say so hi to you all. Loved all the books mentioned on here. I loved and still love reading has made me feel a bit of those with DDs again as I can't imagine DS reading some of those titles - then again you never know!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIDIHOTTER

DD was awake at 2.30 indignant with rage that I wouldn't let her in with us, it took 4 lots of lying her down and leaving the room before she got the hint and went back to sleep. She woke at 6.30 to feed and that was her until 7.20.

Toddlers this morning then a bit of online Christmas shopping for DD and DH. I need to get Advent calendars for Godchildren and post them and I just rmembered my Dad's birthday is on the 1st which is next week

Moaning mini is demanding nacks and gilk I'd better go and give her more cereal!

Morning all

DD says thank you very much for her birthday wishes. She is currently dressed as a fairy and cuddling a mediumly vile Barbiesque doll surrounded by balloons so she's happy . Just going to have to persuade her to get changed to go to nursery...ah feck it, if a girl can't go out in lilac and silver nylon on her birthday when can she?

hotterpotter · 24/11/2009 09:35

Oh and Charlie never materialised in my dreams however I did have a slightly inappropriate dream about someone from work

cyteen · 24/11/2009 09:43

Happy birthday little T! Hope you enjoy a wonderful sparkly celebration of all things you (tis everyone's right on their birthday).

steaknife · 24/11/2009 09:56

Bums! Just realised it is the MILs birthday next week. Better get some hand and foot prints of DD done quick smart.
And my wedding anniversary the day after.

Off to Job Centre this morning to sort out the fare for Friday.

Also need to tell them that I would like the last 81p a week of my income support. They worked out my maintenance on a 4 week month so think I am getting over my 20 quid a week allowance. [sheesh] and

SONOT please don't be . These last 4 teeth are a pain in the @$$! She's been SO NOT herself for days. And as for the spots, my dd1 reacted that way so I'm guessing Reese will too. It's time to bite the bullet and see.

I am running so late this morning! DH has obviously gotten his groove back!!

Catch up in a bit (well later than a bit but today).

hotterpotter · 24/11/2009 12:53

Aaaaah, DH has taken DD to nursery, DS is snoozing, and I am sitting mooching around the internet in silence. Tis bliss .

Just got to ignore the cake whispering to me from the kitchen...

dizzydixies · 24/11/2009 13:16

morning all - tis I less miserable than before and delighted to announce that my period is here (explains everything) and PHEW!!!! Poor Dylan up during night with her bunged up nose so once they were all papped off to school/childminder I went back to bed with my book - and woke up at 12:20

I must have needed it lol - I have a meeting tomorrow morning re the cafe spec and MY FIRST OFFICIAL MEETING WITH THE ARCHITECTS FIRM AT THE PREMISES ON THURS MORNING sorry for shouting but am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited its untrue!!

hots poor balloon but I can match your helium tragic woes. We have a tree in ur garden just outside the front door that you can see from the living room - now that the leaves have gone you can see poor DD2's beloved horse balloon limp, wet and alone up there stuck after it drifted up there after her birthday in May - she breaks her heart over it over and over again

Hope you and T have a lovely lovely day

sazz sorry you're still having interrupted sleep - hope you're managing to rest a little or getting some internet shopping done at least

snot wee soul - all of D's teeth have been through for a while now, mine all get their teeth ridicliously early, and the only thing that worked for us were Nelsons TEETHA powders - are those available to you? Can I post you some? Please let me know if I can help.

LWFH hope you are not weebastards roach free and managing to get your feet up

oops that goes for you too after your broken night

morning all else

you can't do any of it online? I'm refusing to leave the house to do any of it this year

drinking tea in peace and leaving the house when no electric on Tues would get my vote btw - and I think (in my petulant misery) I forgot to congratulate you on the bonus/raise sp apologies and well done

you may now resume with your piss taking
