Ronshar - We watch Spooks on Friday on BBC Three as we are too impatient! It's not as good without Adam

Stop with the pictures. You know DH is away for a few days

I am currently getting myself into trouble in both a pushchair thread and a primary (making a four year old do Kumon Maths) thread. Brilliant fun.

50ftQueenie · 03/12/2009 07:51

A push chair thread? There's a surprise!

jenwa · 03/12/2009 08:20

ah thank you all, I know some people are not animal people but I have always had dogs and it is sooo hard...[wonders why she puts herself through it again ]
50ft yes I think P is very chatty and maybe gets it from her sister She says afew things and even some things in dutch. Still squeels most of the time though. She is funny, when you tell her to go to sleep she closes her eyes and pretends to be asleep whether standing or lying down.

myjob bless N and saying baa baa to her nose.

pistachio maybe I need to go to the gym to to de stress but not keen on the aching after, I played boxing on the Wii the other night and I feel like I have a broken rib!

StarExpat · 03/12/2009 08:21

Ronshar I'm going to look at that thread.
wait - you aren't FOR kumon for a 4 year old are you??

I am so tired and so sick of dh thinking that magic fairies clean everything up!!

50ftQueenie · 03/12/2009 08:32

Jenwa - Wii boxing nearly kills DH when he plays. DS is amazingly good at the boxing game, but it's probably due to his youthful stamina! I tried it when I was pregnant and thought I was going to throw up. Haven't tried it since.......

StarExpat · 03/12/2009 08:41

pistachio I LOVE the workout high. That's why I prefer morning workouts I think. Energizes me for the day. Even if I've just gone for a brisk walk (I would have ROFL at this being called "exercise" a year ago.... but now I think it's perfectly adequate when I'm tired!)
it helps to energize me for my day. And not resent Q getting up very early.

50ftQueenie · 03/12/2009 08:57

I did this message from Father Christmas thingy for DS yesterday. I showed him this morning and he loved it! It's really cute & very well done (save for the part when they show your child where they are and they go right past the UK & up to, I estimate, Sweden!). Worth a look.

50ftQueenie · 03/12/2009 09:02

Star - I had a look at that thread and as far as I know, teaching children to draw numbers by joining dots or tracing is wrong, wrong, wrong. It doesn't teach them anything about the number and the significance of the character, just how to follow some dots. Is that correct?

Where's Rachie? Haven't seen her for ages. Hope she's ok, I know she was a bit frazzled by her return to work......

StarExpat · 03/12/2009 09:54

that is correct 50ft. I just can't believe some of these dark age methods still exist.

Having said that, sometimes for OT purposes, tracing is a good exercise... but not letters and numbers.

jenwa · 03/12/2009 11:44

50ft Wow that link was fab, Lydias face was a picture and nodding along to Santa! I have no idea how you find these things but that was great!

50ftQueenie · 03/12/2009 11:48

I am a fan of Little Sunflowers on FB and they posted the link. It's good isn't it?

50ftChristmasTree · 03/12/2009 11:50

Do you like my Christmas name?

50ftChristmasTree · 03/12/2009 13:20

Where is everybody today? Has my RPJ related drool frightened everyone off?

StarExpat · 03/12/2009 13:37

50ft love your new name

Yay pistachio ohhh Jenwa how sweet imagining your DD watching that video!

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/12/2009 18:14

Just a quickie from me too. Been a busy day today, with dd not in school this afternoon due to them splitting the children for Christmas parties (dd's is next Tues). Got ds some shoes (cruisers).
Seen GP and he's ordering the cevawhatsit vaccine for me because found out on here this morning that the pandremix contains seafood, which ds is allergic to.
Off out tonight as soon as kids are in bed.
Hope all well.

I'm off out any minute with my mum to go shopping. I am staying at my mum's overnight as DH says I need a full night's sleep. Eeeek! Poor M, poor DH! It's not going to be pleasant for either of them.
