welcome back steaky - all well I hope?

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/11/2009 09:48

Nah Steaky I wouldn't shoot at that range Maybe you could tame it and feed it up then get it to stand at the bottom of the garden really still then shoot it? Set DD2 on it?

dizzydixies · 17/11/2009 09:55

its pecking at my seriously expensive new bi-fold doors - WHERE'S MY BLOODY GUN?!!!??

DD2 is a good thought but she's at the CM this morning - although its been here for half an hour now so may well still be here when I collect her at 1pm

QueenofDreams · 17/11/2009 09:59

morning ladies.
well night was not as good as the previous two sadly. ds awake just after 3. had to see to him as he was howling and not going back off.
had trouble getting him cal. I said 'Idon't know what's wrong with this boy' and dp told me to calm down. Instant irritation as I was calm. He managed to say it again before I got ds back down, so I was really annoyed by him.

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/11/2009 10:07

Queenie - these nights will happen, the trick is to just carry on tonight as normal try not to think it may not work. They like to try your resolve at silly times of the night. At least with DP it was only a kepp calm and not yelling - the sleep must be doing you both some good.

QueenofDreams · 17/11/2009 10:13

Well oops I was struggling but it turned out DS wanted the RIGHT boob before he would go to sleep so it was.
The reason the whole 'calm down' thing is irritating is because my parents used to do it as a way of keeping control of any discussion. It used to really annoy me then, being tag teamed and told to calm down every time I opened my mouth. But I know, it is such a little thing really.
dizzy hmm yum pheasant

Queenie - I hate the old calm down thing too - was my parents favourite phrase and still drives me mad to this day

poor pheasant is now probably dead as cat chased it round the garden - closely followed by the dog - poor poor birdy

VG how did DS1 get on?

oh VG thats brilliant news, long may it continue. was telling friend last night and she was delighted, although did ask if I knew which school incase it was our her way but I guessed that it wasn't how about you though - hope you didn't expend too much energy on worrying all day yesterday

wanted to tell you all a funny wee storey about DD2 because she's normally known to be a bit of a battleaxe. when the girls go to bed they have their light left on and I go in and turn if off when I go up to bed myself. Went in last night as usual, straightened them both up (neither of my older girls could lie in a straight line if their life depended on it) and turned out the light to leave

wee voice said 'leave the light on' so I put it back on and said sorry. she then turned onto her back and without even opening her eyes reached out her arms for what I thought was a cuddle, I leaned in and gave her a hug at which point she takes two fingers and taps on her mouth implying that she wanted a kiss, so I gave her a kiss and another wee hug - she then says clear as day 'right thats enough' and dismisses me with a wee shove away from her before rolling back on her side and going back to sleep

wee madam!!!

dizzydixies · 17/11/2009 10:41

lordy and apparently she's learnt it from DH who has just said (from the couch where he is lying sleeping)

dh - how are you feeling?

me - a bit better thank you (have been coughing and blowing my nose a lot today)

dh - horny at all?

me - no! thats not going to happen

dh - ah well, just thought I'd throw that out there (rolls over and is snoring again)

I live a blessed life

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/11/2009 10:56

Dizzy - your DH has a special way with words

VG - Fabbo that Mastergardenia had a good day yesterday and long may it continue.

DD and are supposed to be going to toddlers but she only got up at 8.30 so we are 2 hours behind normal schedule. 2 loads of washing done and on the line 2nd breakfast in the toaster and DD in the garden being confused by the pile of leaves, she thought they were solid and was horrified to sink upto her nappy in one pile.

Excellent to hear your DS1 had a good day yesterday VG
dizzy that's very funny
DP does similar things, although he does them in his sleep Quite often it doesn't involve words so much as him rubbing himself up against me and generally having a bit of a feel. Then in the morning has no memory of it at all (and looks very embarrassed ) Poor guy I really shouldn't be telling

TwilightSurfer · 17/11/2009 11:38

one handed typing so this better post!

oops and p are so lovely!! yesterday via skype r sat trying to share her cheerios with p. blasted technology doesn't allow that so p was rightfully heartbroken. it was a wonderful call and with excellent news as "everyone" knows now.

hp i put safari in here last night to see if that helps but can't get it to work this morning. when time permits i'll give it another go.

r is one snotty kid. i hope this means her crud is breaking.

vg that school sounds excellent. i can't wait to send my girls to my old school.

dizzy you're clan has mastered the art of communication.....brief & to the point.

gardening injury has reignited so i saw a doctor yesterday who of course is baffled. my whole hand is sore. the back is puffy. not red and no wound.....it's actually almost like it's broken. very odd trying to get it xrayed this week.

queenie i'd be upset too.

as for upset, my ddad has planted a drama seed regarding my last fb post. he messaged me saying i hurt my mil's feelings. guess it doesn't count that my aunt is way more involved in our life and we often joke about attributes. plus i wasn't meaning anything horrible by it so why would someone try to make it horrible!!!!!!!!!

Hi all - wonderful news oops

qod when i first saw your abbreviation I thought golly the thread has gone very erudite til I realised it was not a cousin of QED
I too am frothing at the mouth in anticipation of Twilight movie No.2

vg ds hits me when I get home - I interpret it as friendly/loving. When he wants milk he hits my chest, I feed him then he immediately goes to his 'dadda'

thanks for all your kind words re F. He has relapsed a bit over the weekend, we think it may be due to reintroduction of dairy which we started Thursday. He had 3 scary reactions just as he was eating over the last few days - his chin and throat got red and itchy, and he got nettle sting bumps near his eyes...not sure what the connection is re the meals though. All very confusing.

ds has been to the homeopath today, new medication prescribed. We live in hope...
