No not at all dont feel bad. He just told me he has between 3 and 6 o clock. So not bad really.
He has been a fool in the past. I am glad he got a football ban and can no longer go.
Alcohol issues in the past has gone him into too much trouble.
I think he has learnt is lesson now, after nearly losing everything, house, job, nearly going to prison etc...
However on this occasion I saw video evidence and it was NOT his fault, but being football related, everyone got tarred with the same brush.
Was bound to happen sooner or later.

dizzydixies · 14/11/2009 15:14

luckof - as soon as dh comes home with some soup I will be returning to bed

hots - we have a climber here too, if we're not watching her like a hawk she's up on the dining table

dizzydixies · 14/11/2009 15:17

3-6 is ok, he might manage some sleep in there - please never feel the need to explain anything on here, we've all done things in the past etc and I'm sure I speak for all - I might work for the polis but it doesn't mean am squeaky clean

dh home, all 3 crying and no soup having assured me he had his mobile if I needed anything at all it ran out of batteries and he hadn't got my request - was the only reason I stayed up this long, my stomach is sore and I think its because I'm hungry but can't face food

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/11/2009 15:17

hotter xpost tis a nightmare. I am constantly telling ds to get out of fridge, fireplace, cupboards, drawers etc...
Also copnstantly telling dd to keave him alone.
I fear I could quite easily lose the plot.
Have phoned health visitor 4 times to arrrange a visit for some help. No heard anything still. They wonder why they get such a bad name..

hotterpotter · 14/11/2009 15:20

My laptop no longer has a caps lock key since the little git darling climbed up and pulled it right off

No1 my DH was a bit of a drunk football hooligan in his youth too (although this is going back 25 years). Some of the stories he tells me are but there was a lot more of it about in those days, plus I think he overstates his involvement a little through the misty glasses of time. Well I hope so anyway...

Wotcha loti

dizzydixies · 14/11/2009 15:20

No1 - 4 times and no return call, thats a disgrace

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/11/2009 15:21

x post lucky well done on kicking dh out of bed, I usualy try the Iv gone deaf in a deep sleep tactic, so he gets up.

thanks dizzy

dizzydixies · 14/11/2009 15:21

D eating a roasted nut tracker bar left here by MIL (not enough chocolate involved to be mine obviously) however am wondering if its ok for her - I don't think she has any allergies and I think we're beyond choking hazard aren't we?

dizzydixies · 14/11/2009 15:23

DD1 has come in and fallen asleep on the couch - think her sleepover has caught up with her

hotterpotter · 14/11/2009 15:23

OK the human whirlwind/demolition man is going into overdrive so I'd better be off and find the straitjacket supervise a bit more carefully. See you all later ladies

RedLentil · 14/11/2009 16:24

I forgot to say hi Sambo. It is really lovely to hear from you.

My keyboard is jamming so my typing will be worse than usual. DH has taken the children out so I can get some work done, and I've nipped out for a walk here which was just lovely.

Only when I was out there with the only noise being the water rushing along the valley floor did I realise how many separate conversations are fizzing along in my brain at the moment. So I tried to shut them all up and remember to breathe.

No1 - what a nightmare for you. Could you tell us what the trickiest thing is with the dc at the moment and maybe we could chip in with some ideas? You are doing a great job you know.

Dizzy, you sound like I felt when I had my chest infection. Do try to rest and resist the temptation to try to catch up on domestic stuff the second you feel better. Well, temptation is the wrong word, but you know what I mean.

Any word from oops?

TwilightSurfer · 14/11/2009 16:33

how about NOW

TwilightSurfer · 14/11/2009 16:35

cyteen · 14/11/2009 16:38

hotter and I thought I had it bad with my tv-pummelling destructobot He hasn't discovered climbing...yet.

To all enquiring about our night out, we did get one after a fashion - went over to local pub and had a pint, but were both feeling so tired and ill and we came straight home again. I have finally got the boys' bug and am feeling totally crapola.

On a brighter note, DP is not going to London now as there's a tree on the train line so I'm looking forward to a cosy evening in all together. DS has learned to do something unbelievably cute today - he goes and hides behind a sofa or similar, then when you say 'where's DS? I can't see him anywhere' he peeks out with a cheeky grin on his face Totally makes up for all the grumbling.

dizzydixies · 14/11/2009 16:59

ah cyteen he sounds like you could eat him with a spoon

lentil glad you got a walk - I'm hoping am on the mend thank you, managed a little soup which should/along with the lucozade help the old blood sugars

hots my decimal point went the same way as your caps - little vandals

TS don't panic, you know you're always here with us in spirit

DD1 still asleep on couch and D napping - going to be a late one tonight me thinks but at least Strictly is on and they can do some naked dancing before bed - DH has come home from Tesco having spent £50 and there is nothing for tea chicken nuggets been dragged out of deepest depths of freezer and shall be served up with beans/peas/some other random tinned veg - I guess am looking for Aug 08 absolution esp as they were taken out for a chicken nugget Happy meal for lunch

QueenofDreams · 14/11/2009 17:11

hi ladies.
Just popping on quickly.
cyteen that sounds gorgeous. S does something sort of similar.
HP sounds like haaard work

We have discovered the problem with sleep.
If Daddy is home, S simply HAS to stay up playing. So tonight could be very 'interesting' Have had this revelation after struggling to get the boy to have a nap. Despite obvious tiredness, he opted to stay up with daddy.

oopsandbabycoconut · 14/11/2009 17:34

Afternoon or is it evening already??

Thanks everyone for asking about DD.

Well last night was a bundle of fun - DD was still hot and grizzley, I forgot there was an auction today. DD stayed with my mum whilst I ran to Morrisons at 7.45. Got home to a tired but wired DD who had still eaten nothing but a yogurt and 3 grapes I tried to put her to bed but it didn't work so she came down and sweated all ove me and I took her to bed where she proceeded to bark like a dog cough and it seemed to hurt her chest every 20mins until 3am when she finally fell fast asleep then woke at 7 just in time for me to go to work. I AM BROKEN, DH is better today but she just won't have him at all. Have fed her proper dinner tonight and am doing a proper night routine as her fever seems to be going and she will be in bed by 7ish followed rapidly by me.

We are off to Top Gear live tomorrow and DD is going to my mum for the day, she is doing roast for lunch too

Sambo - Nice to see you too. Did you manage to get into the MN new excema cream trial? I have most of a tube left and will willingly send it to you to try. It has worked fantastically on DD's legs so DH has ordered some directly for her.

will try and catch up with everyone else but nothing is sticking in my brain.

Dizzy Hope you are feeling slightly better.

Queenie - DS's willy sounds very sore. Hope he goes down okay tonight with Daddy present.

SazZaVoom · 14/11/2009 18:39

Just popping on to say i won't be around much as DD2 someone has taken my secure ID thingummy for me to sign on to the internet via my laptop

no1 sorry DH is being an arse. You deserve more support and a night out

Bye.......

RedLentil · 14/11/2009 18:44

Have a good rest and a lovely day out Oops.

qod, most babies can deal with two slightly different routines (home and nursery for example) but if you want the nights to be the same you need to make sure Seb realises this is the case.

He doesn't have the executive powers to make 'interesting' changes to the night-time routine.

If he gets used to you being the boss about sleep, he'll be much more likely to believe you are the boss when behaviour becomes an issue in the next few months.

Hotter, I believe you need Dizzy's nailgun.

at mini-Cyteen's peepo antics too. He is a sweetie.

RedLentil · 14/11/2009 18:45

'Executive powers'?

Who ordered a code red?

poppysocks · 14/11/2009 18:50

Poor, poor you oops, and pg too. Hope P does pick up this evening.

I have huge sympathy hotter. DD1 was never a climber but DD2 certainly is. She revealed her ability to climb the other week when I walked into the dining room, having just laid the table for a smart meal, to find her standing on the table, surrounded by the best crystal . She is also fond of pushing around the chairs, climbing on them and then waving at me proudly just as I notice one foot rather too close to the edge. 'Tis not relaxing.

On the upside, she is being utterly adorable this evening and is currently standing over the bemused cat waving at her and shouting 'hiya'. She also walked up to the oven earlier, pointed and said 'cook, cook' and passed me her finished bowl after tea and announced 'good girl'. Definitely don't remember DD1 being this chatty (although more than makes up for it now).

miamla · 14/11/2009 19:21

just on quickly re the 28th... all are welcome to crash at mine... won't be top luxury but i can guarantee cosiness, warmth, good company and a full fry up for brekkie. Oh and a guarantee that HotMamas won't find out who ate the fried stuff

so Poppy, don't worry about having to travel across London to get back to where you're staying!

If we're really nice to DP, he may even make us a cup of tea each!

QueenofDreams · 14/11/2009 19:44

red loving executive powers And never fear, he is now in bed. We seem to be getting some tantrums worthy of a two year old now though. Seriously, real screeching, arms flailing, legs kicking temper tantrums. First because I stopped him playing to put his night nappy on, then while I was getting him in his pj's, and lastly while I was getting him into his grobag, and he was wanting to get the bottle of antibiotics I practically had to have him in a headlock to get him all sorted for the night. Then read the story and he calmed right down again. Not much of a bf - he didn't seem that interested then into bed, 1 minute of screaming and now all quiet.

What area of London are you in miamla?

dizzydixies · 14/11/2009 20:13

am hiding down here whilst DH puts them all to bed, they can go to bed stinking frankly and have a bath tomorrow night

seriously if any of this weekend's behaviour gets back to the social we're gubbed - appetite back this evening though which (although I could do without frankly) I'm taking as a good sign

poppy glad Em is being adorable - sounds like she's coping admirably

oops fingers crossed for a better night tonight and enjoy tomorrow

sazz hope the party went well this afternoon

QofD good luck for tonight, sounds like you're doing great - how are you getting on administering the anti-b's?

OleOleOlentils · 14/11/2009 20:19

You should try getting a 6 year-old boy to ever wash himself Dizzy. He has to be tricked into the bathroom and then bundled in.

I don't bath the girls every night either.

What were you up to with the girls? [nosey]

Off to watch Ireland ...
