And, we will definitely be back at some point to see you all . When are you planning your trip?

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 21:23

Oops, think i have upset TS everyone

Apologies

dizzydixies · 12/11/2009 21:29

well seeing you only insult those you've already visited

meeting went better than expected, head still bouncing but hey, another child free day tomorrow [yipee]

where is No1 - am going to text her - she'd better be bringing cakes for thread brekker in the morning due to it being her b'day

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 21:32

LOL, how is your draughty porch?

I texted No1 this morning, she is ok just busy with snotty kids and the pony and will try and pop on soon

Child free day, enjoy - please have a little bit of YOU time . BTW, how was your weirdy cleaning lady last week?

oopsandbabycoconut · 12/11/2009 21:40

TMI ALERT

I'm back, although not with most of my dinner DH had a coughing fit and managed to spit a bogey onto his jeans which resulted in my dinner returning.

We are now watching Big Bang Theroy and I am seeing too much of my DH in one of the characters.

dizzydixies · 12/11/2009 21:42

weirdy cleaning lady was fecking hopeless and shall not be getting back

drafty porch looking well as 2 of the 3 prams are now in the shed

DD1 on a sleepover and staying to play at her pals house, DD2 and DD3 are at the CM. If I still feel this way tomorrow I'll be doing what I did today and sitting curled up under my fleecy blanket with my book & laptop

otherwise we need a food shop/trip to bank blah blah blah

oops am needing advice, considering going to auction to furnish the cafe - would Mr Oops recommend it or it the furniture not normally any use?

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 21:48

Oh no, poor you Oops, but i'll pass on any leftovers thanks

Duvet day sounds like just what you need dizzy. Apparently we are to be hit with gale force winds and floods here, so i think DD2 and i will be cuddling in front of the fire whilst DD1 is at preschool

Watching OCtomum here atm. DH has left the room

dizzydixies · 12/11/2009 21:50

did you tell him about my kitchen aid trauma - did he suitably sympathise?!?

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 21:52

Sorry, no

Will go and hunt him down and post his reply on here verbatim

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 21:53

Oh, before i do, did you not like my blind suggesiton?

dizzydixies · 12/11/2009 21:54

yes I did sorry, I just haven't had the energy to go and measure the space up, sorry

make sure am emphasise the METALness of the potato masher [meep]

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 21:58

Apparently 'serves you right for letting MIL cook'

Empathy is clearly not one of his strong points

oopsandbabycoconut · 12/11/2009 21:59

Dizzy - local auctions are normally pretty good places and cheapish too - be sure to look all furniture over carefully and if it is modern and has padded cushions check for fire safety labels, if they are missing then htey have to cut the seat pads off before you can take then home. If you are going to a catering auction he recommends you check under tables and chairs etc or you may well spend weeks scratching old food/gum/snot off the underside of tables and chairs. His most important tips is go to viewings check everything thoroughly and set a maximum bid - DO NOT GO OVER THIS LIMIT. You will have to pay commission (check the percentage before you bid so you can work out numbers) and vat on the commision too so you add this onto your final bid amount. Ours works out at £20 for every £100 you spend so a £100 bid costs you about £120. Also if you can go before the VAT increases at the end of the year you will save an extra 2.5%.

here endeth my auction sermon!

oopsandbabycoconut · 12/11/2009 22:01

Dizzy - I feel your pain. DH had been threatened with death if he lets his mother and a whisk near my enamelled pots again!

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 22:04

On a more positive note, what about this blind. Can't decide myself

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 22:08

This would be quite nice in Roman Blinds

dizzydixies · 12/11/2009 22:08

thank you for lesson and sympathy oops

Sazz Ican't get that to open for some reason

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 22:12

I really like this one

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 22:14

They all open for me ok, sorry . Do you want me to carry on?

Storm really brewing up now. Is it bad of me to want to take my girls into bed and cuddle them all night to keep them from the storm? Obviously i would hate it within 5 mins of being kicked, hair pulled, whinged at etc, but a nice little dream

dizzydixies · 12/11/2009 22:15

no to the last one, too dark but I like the pattern

SazZaVoom · 12/11/2009 22:17

OK, the other 3 are much lighter backgrounds. I will get back to you.......

dizzydixies · 12/11/2009 22:18

they're working now ebay one is nice, other one is a bit too floral for me

lovely idea re the girls, would you consider just smiling down at them and putting on another blanket?!?

oopsandbabycoconut · 12/11/2009 22:18

Well that's me gone for the evening. DD awake with a fever of 39.5degrees so she is sitting on DH's lap having been neurofen'd up and eating an ice lolly.

Sleep well.

TwilightSurfer · 12/11/2009 22:20

Not mad...just preoccupied with fussy children. I am attempting a makeshift dinner. Fetticuni sauce over macaroni noodles. R will aslo get some veggies. DD1 won't eat them so no use offering.
