Ooh, will read later - off out now.

Ta ra for now

dizzydixies · 11/11/2009 14:49

oh and I didn't touch a fast food meal/krispy kreame the whole time, in fact I've lost weight due to the illness before going and all the walking - I should really be blurding this on Hot Mammas shouldn't I?!

right having bored you all to death am off out to collect DD1 and then take the older two for a haircut [god help me emoticon] Dylan is down for a nap again although I would consider this her making up for sod all sleep last night

VG mwhah mwhah da'hling

PoinsettiaBouquets · 11/11/2009 14:51

VG I just spat coffee all over the place! It won't be in there!!! And I'm not going to mention it again because if people don't know what I'm on about it will only give them nightmares if they did find out.

Queen Yep start the morning routine first, then see how long he can go in the evenings. Red is right about the twitching, he's been out of the habit so long the switch to deep sleep is now freaking him out and waking him up. He will learn to deal with it after a few nights of letting him.

Dizzy Don't know what to say really cept for general sighs of etc. Sigh. Hope you're all feeling better soon though and that you can actually stop rushing about and get some rest soon.

Am upstairs at my own dusty house right now and Kurt has just brought me a bottle of rancid milk he found downstairs (in the dusty building site all by himself.) He was very chuffed with himself but is now v cross indeed as I have taken it away.

QueenofDreams · 11/11/2009 15:02

testing testing

QueenofDreams · 11/11/2009 15:05

It worked!

Have been doing a lot of self examination as a result of all this chat and decided not only do I need to make some changes to Seb's routine, I need to make changes to me

for example:
be more organised
be more sociable
stop giving up so easily
be more positive

Sure there's more as well.

I wrote a long post earlier but it wouldn't post for some reason. Never mind, I'm sure you're all very bored of listening to me wittering on in me,me, me fashion so am sutting up now.

QueenofDreams · 11/11/2009 15:05

shutting up even d'oh

cyteen · 11/11/2009 15:13

QoD being more positive sounds like an excellent tactic. All the things you've listed are things I struggle with too but the difference is noticeable when I make the effort to address them. Think of it as lifting weights - the first few times are a hard slog but if you stick with it, it gets easier.

QueenofDreams · 11/11/2009 15:22

dizzy lovely to see you back
steaky don't let mansteak boss you about - he chose not to be involved, so he has no say in day-to-day routine. Chin up my deary, you know WE all love you on here Think VG said it better though (as usual)

I did actually type these things in the post I lost.

Any good books with tips on positive thinking? I find it difficult at the moment as I feel like I've lost all sense of direction and purpose in life atm. Think having a job would help in some ways.
Seb has now decided to have a nap.
Oh and he took his first unsupported step today, then got really excited, started jigging about and fell over

oopsandbabycoconut · 11/11/2009 15:38

Afternoon all

Buckets- intrigues by your 'p' problem - piles/prolapse/poo ?????

Queenie - There is a period of hell that ensures for the first 2/3 days of starting a routine I remember sittting in floods of tears outside DD's room when she decided she wasn't doing bedtime anymore. It too nearly 2 hours of her fury and me repeating 'night night, bed time' and lying her down the first night. Only 45 the second and the 10 the 3rd. We decided to use Miamla's 'once you are in your cot, there you stay until morning' I didn't get much sleep those 3 nights with her waking every few hours wanting in our bed - I hated myself for being 'mean' to her but now see how important is was to my sanity and coping ability in the daytime. She now goes down without a fuss most nights and will sleep until 5 now which is in my book.

VG - nice to see you again.

Dizzy - sounds like a great weekend. We didn't eat much junk in NY either there were too many placesthat did good food to waste eating on junk.

Red/Loti/Poppy - HI

oopsandbabycoconut · 11/11/2009 17:04

You are all hiding from me, waiting for me to go to college then you will all come out to play.

dizzydixies · 11/11/2009 17:05

oops am here but 1. am frightened you'll stamp your feet at me again and 2. I think I've yabbered on enough for one day

Queenie great positive steps, remember one day at a time

PoinsettiaBouquets · 11/11/2009 17:18

What Oops said. About the P thing too. I know it's horrid and have every sympathy for anyone with it but it's something me and DH had a v childish private joke about before we had kids. Of course, nobody tells you it's quite a common result of pregnancy and childbirth. Similarly, did you know that double incontinence is way more prevalent in old women who've had vaginal births than old men or other old women? Luckily for me, I now think I don't have the P word.

cyteen · 11/11/2009 17:26

Thanks for that cheery vision of the future PB

miamla · 11/11/2009 17:39

evening all
DS has been a right little wotsit when it comes to eating recently so tonight we're trying a new tactic
it involves him in a nappy, me in old clothes, sheets and blankets on the floor, a plastic fork and a bowl of ratatouille

i don't think i need say anymore!

vg your book of things about P made me laugh! poor bouquets

dizzydixies · 11/11/2009 17:40

oh good grief can someone please tell me what 'P' is - I now want to know if I have it or not [meep]

QueenofDreams · 11/11/2009 17:44

miamla strangely, Seb seems to have started throwing his food on the floor most odd. It seems that he is doing it for a reaction though, as he will look at me/dp and be sure he has our attention, then very deliberately drop his food. We have decided to ignore it and hopefully he'll stop.

I too am incredibly intrigued by 'P' - is it prolapse? piles?
Have just found out Seb's fish he was going to have for dinner hasn't defrosted at all. so now need to figure something else out. Perhaps some curried butternut? That's quick too which is a bonus.

RedLentil · 11/11/2009 17:48

The Seamus Cashman book? It's P for poetry not prolapse. And an absolute gentleman he was too when I had to interview him. (Go on Cyteen, flame me for Irish lit name-dropping )

oopsandbabycoconut · 11/11/2009 17:48

Dizzy - I think PB was worried about a prolapse but was too [boak] to mention it directly, an you tell I have had far too many people look at my bottom since DD was born?

Remind me not to forget my cake when I go out tonight! and to buy some icing on my way. Thanks

oopsandbabycoconut · 11/11/2009 17:50

I am STILL waiting - do it this evening or I will send you a random sum of money!

dizzydixies · 11/11/2009 17:50
Grin
QueenofDreams · 11/11/2009 18:10

urk, just had a close encounter of the turd kind
Seb has SUCH nappy rash atm, including two nasty looking sores on the end of his willy poor boy - he's currently climbing all over me with no nappy on.

dizzydixies · 11/11/2009 18:20

ouch - have you got any metonium? thats what we use when D has bad nappy rash

QueenofDreams · 11/11/2009 18:38

nope dizzy - just sudocrem, and a tea tree and witch hazel cream I've been trying out
