Hi thought I'd take the bull by the horns and start a new thread. Hope the weaning was covert enough! Fire away!

Hello everyone

Just a very quick post, I hope you are all ok and the poorly babies are recovering.

Max's Christening was lovely, very calm and just perfect. It was quite emotional for me as I had been at a Christening at that Church when my miscarriage started so to finally christen my baby there was a dream come true. We had great fun and the lunch afterwards went well.

We are off to Wales for a few days and I should be packing, so will try to post from there. If not I will post when we get back. I didn't want you to think I had gone awol!!

Big hugs to all xxxx

JetLi · 17/02/2010 09:09

Hello all

Patchy - soooo glad the Christening went so well & I'm so happy you have a good memory of the church now. Have a lovely holiday in Wales

Activity - so sorry about the PND but I'm glad you're getting sorted MissP - glad you are feeling better too. It's soooo nice to do something for yourself isn't it? I had 10 minutes at the Benefit counter in Debenhams the other week whilst DD slept and felt like a million dollars afterwards! With what you've all said, along with Ladylush & Christiana, you've got me wondering - I'd never associated anxiety with PND - I just thought I'd got more to get anxious about now IYSWIM

Phoenix - DD will take water from her cup with meals (that's the only time I offer it). She does that comedy thing where she forgets to breathe and we have to take it away so she can catch her breath!! I have to say though I'm convinced that she isn't thirsty - rather it's just the novelty of the cup. Most of the water dribbles down her chin.

Having a lazy day today - absolutely knackered with the night feeds and we've had 2 days out with sis & brood as it's half term. I'm planning a "Sleep when baby sleeps" day today to try and catch up. Loads of piglets and lambs at Cannon Hall Phoenix - had a lovely day there yesterday, although it was snided.

lydiathetattooedlady · 17/02/2010 19:35

Hi everyone, very quick post here as up to my eyeballs with shop stuff...open on friday eek! patchy im glad the christening went well. Still in two minds as to whther we shall get ours done given that i was raised baptist and dp is catholic

activity, missp christiana ladylush i have an appointment to see gp next week as dp has started to see me slide again (have history of depression) i know im busy with shop but have been feeling so down, about my brother recently after some videos have emerged in our family of him, my mum being not interested in her own kids, grandkids, but doing all she can for her partner of 5 months kids! and probably the silliest of the lot i sat in tears nearly all day after valentines convinced the reason dp hasnt proposed yet is because he's holding out for someone else! i am so tetchy all the time and im losing my temper at the drop of a hat which i hate its like a snap before i realise what im doing. any way think ive bored you all enough.

Right i have a bottle of wine with my name on it and a bin bag of mixed buttons to sort in to colour co-ordinated jars for friday...yay!

babyblue4 · 17/02/2010 22:06

Patchy glad the Christening went well. Cant wait to see some pics! It must be a big relief to have that off your plate. Now you just have your conservatory to worry about ... always something isn't there?? LOL

Christiana How are you feeling today? D&V sucks and I am keeping everything crossed that my older 2 dont bring it home to me and the babies. I honestly dont think I could manage on my own and DH would need to take time off work (unpaid) to stay and care for us.

As for your business idea, its great! You dont have to stick to just nursery school either. My older DCs have someone called "the Lunch Lady" who delivers hot lunches to their school once a week. We get a menu ahead of time, and you can order what you want. Its a good idea for busy parents. The food ranges from hot stews to chips and hot dogs. The prices are reasonable too. Since I am home to pack hot lunches, my kids dont order from her, but I have heard the parents rave about the service!

How about something along the idea of this?? Do they have places like this in the UK?? Its really neat! The shop is like a huge kitchen. Each station has all the ingredients necessary to make a certain meal. You pick which meal you want off the menu, go to the station, put all the ingredients (which have been washed, chopped, and seasoned) into a container, label it, and take it home to freeze. The cooking instructions are also provided. So when you are ready, all you have to do is follow the recipe and have a home-cooked meal ready in minutes. Faster and healthier than take-aways, but easier than doing all the prep yourself. They even show you how to portion the ingredients according to how many you want to feed. This company is very popular here in Toronto.

vacation Is it bad to say that I am glad to be home after 2 days away with my family??

UGH... Sofia just woke up from her nap in a pool of vomit Looks like we have gotten the bug here too now... sigh... off to clean the mess and manage to make dinner as well

babyblue4 · 18/02/2010 16:11

So Sofia spent the entire evening throwing up I had to completely strip her bed (including duvet and teddy bears) as well as the slip covers on the sofa. This on top of vacation laundry and stuff piling up throughout the week... I am feeling quite overwhelmed. She could not keep anything down, not even diluted apple juice. Today, she seems to be doing better. Her temp is down and she seems more lively. Hopefully its just a 24hour thing. I got some good sleep today (thanks to DH letting me have a lie in) so hopefully I will have the energy to make it through the day.

Lydia Hopefully once your shop opens you will have something to keep your mind occupied. But in the mean time I think you should go to your appointment, especially if this is something you have been through already. Its good DP is paying attention and recognized the signs before it got any worse. Good Luck with your grand opening!!

Off to wade through the laundry. Its going to take a couple of days at least to get through Where is my maid????? Oh yeah... I DONT HAVE ONE!!! LOL

alibobble · 18/02/2010 16:30

baby sorry to hear you've not escaped the bug. How horrid. Hope washing doesn't overtake you completely.

beaker I worried endlessly that Beth would never take a beaker but she did eventually. I think esp if you see how much they chug in a bottle you expect that's how much they'll take from a beaker but it took beth ages to manage that level of liquids. If bf regularly like someone said or bottles then i'm sure it'll happen eventually. I've just been offering water in a free flow beaker to rebecca and if she has a tiny bit that's good. I have noticed that sometimes the sip of water she gets improves her eating so we start with the food and then intersperse the later mouthfuls with water and it seems to help her eat better. but then we might not want a whole meal with no drink wither so it makes sense.

PND christina: glad dp keeping an eye on you and Lydia the same. Can only comment from experience of dh's depression that we partners do see the signs so glad they are helping on that front.

redundancy dh came home from work last friday so say he's out of a job at teh end of the month. Is a complicated situation so anyone who sees me on facebook don't comment as we can't really talk about it. Suffice to say he's under my feet now looking for a job! Still they were a bunch of so and sos so may be a good thing! Shhhh!

So all seems peaceful in the Blue household at the moment. Sofia was better yesterday, although still slightly out of sorts. She slept most of the day and had very little appetite. But on the plus side, no puking!

laundry managed to get through about 8 loads yesterday... have at least another 6 to go today

Movement So Marco has made huge strides this week! He is now doing the rocking on all fours thing. From there, he does a proper crawl, only backwards!! He has also been getting into the 'push-up' position (on tips of toes and hands). But I think the biggest thing he has learned, is how to sit up on his own! He has gone from a lay down position to a sit a couple of times before, but it almost seemed accidental. Then last night, he did it over and over! He crawls to the toy he wants, sits up, and plays for a while! Little bug! He is doing these things much quicker than my others (he is only at the 6.5 month mark).

So anyone have anything special planned for the weekend? We have been invited to dinner on both nights, so I get out of cooking (which is always Fab!). I made two loaves of banana bread thinking it would be an easy breakfast. Well... the pigs DCs have already polished off one and are about a quarter of the way through the second. I dont think it will even SEE the weekend!! Need to try to get caught up on Marco's scrapbook, since I am REALLY far behind with this one.

Lydia Cant wait to hear details about your store opening Make sure you post some pics!

Ali Sorry to hear about your DHs redundancy. Hopefully he will be able to find something soon. In the mean time, enjoy having him home to help out a bit.

Activity Glad to hear your chat with the ex-MW helped you. Sometimes talking to someone is all you need to sort things out for yourself.

sick Hope all the sickly babies are doing better. Marco STILL has the sniffles, but he seems to be better as I am not chasing his runny snotty nose as much.

to everyone else. Have to try and get some more laundry done. I want the weekend to relax!

Patchybob · 21/02/2010 08:03

Hello everyone, I have missed you all!! We got home yesterday and I didn't get on here to say hi...so after sorting out the kids this am (big ones on the Wii and Max playing with his toys, this is the first thing I have done!!!

We had a fab time in Wales, loads of snow so we managed to go sledging 2 days in a row. It was great. I have missed out on the recent sledging fun with being pregnant and also then having bugs etc, so I made the most of it and loved it! Max had a 2 hour sleep in his pram on the side of the mountain, so we were all able to do it! We met some friends for pizza and bowling on friday afternoon so all in all it was just great. It was exhausting though so good to be home and getting back in to the routine. Big kids back to school tomorrow and dh back to work as well so Max and I can just get on with our thing!! Lots of cleaning and tidying to do.

Great news, we came home to a letter from the loss adjustors to say they agree to pay out on all of our contents in the conservatory so we can replace everything. So pleased about that. It will all be a while but hopefully totally done by the summer.

I will try to post some christening pics on facebook later.

Ali...sorry about your dh job. What a bummer. I hope he managed to sort something soon.

Lydia hope you ok. Have you had your appoijntment with the dr yet? Good to try and get on top of it all. The shop sounds soooo exciting.

Baby hope that you are all ok now after the puking. It is so grim isn't it. And even more washing! I did 9 loads while we were away so there wasn't much to come home to, but still 2 loads last night. it is never ending isn't it!

Anyway, I suppose I should go and pay some attention to my dc!!!

Have a happy sunday everyone, we are off to lunch at some friends, so no cooking for me! Hooray!

Misspaella · 22/02/2010 06:37

Hey all
I have survived half term! YAH! Back to routine and madness now.

Baby how is everyone? The D&V bug is hitting so many people here too. I am glad that DD got over it but boy was it messy. I found it very stressful.

Ali sorry to hear about DH's job. Times are tough in the work front. My DH has been freelancing since mid Jan but we still don't know how long that work will last.

Patchy sounds like you had a great break. And to come home to good news, too is fab.

Anxiousness has really gone away thankfully. I think I was really stressed dealing with 3 sick children and being stuck at home w/no adult contact for days didn't help. Christiana Activity hope you are feeling better!

Jetli and Lydia how are things on your front? Hopefully not feeling too blah?

Right must dash as baby is calling me in the form of a "mwah" cry.

Hi everyone

MissP it is horrible being stuck at home with no adult conversation. I go nearly mad and find that if I can't get out and do stuff I get really flat. Glad that all are better and you feel better in yourself.

Ali hope things looking up on the job front and Activity hope you find some temping. It is so stressful when things are up in the air, but like you said, you never know what exciting things may lie around the corner.

Activity we drove from brighton to Edinburgh via North Wales when ds1 was a baby. We did 4 hour stints as it is 4 hrs to wales and then 4 hrs from there to Edinburgh. DS1 was ok, not too impressed but he coped, but for a week or so afterwards he cried everytime we put him in the car. Max was fab on the drive 2 and from wales last week. We timed it round sleeps so left at 9am, he had a sleep and when he woke up he played with an endless supply of toys that I passed 1 by 1 from the front! We stopped for lunch and then he had a big sleep which more or less lasted the rest of the journey. You could try driving through the night, but it is a real killer.

Anyway, big kids back at school and dh just left for work. Max in bed. Hoorah, bliss!

babyblue4 · 23/02/2010 00:37

You ladies with older DCs have had half term already? Wow... ours is not until March 15th. Thank goodness DH was able to get the week off work, so I will have some help dealing with the inevitable cabin fever! Have already scheduled swimming lessons for the older DCs, as well as a couple of day trips to museums, etc. Am going to try to keep them busy so they stay out of trouble and out of my hair!

snow We are finally getting some (not that I wouldn't have been happy without). 10cm today, and more throughout the week as well. Will be heading out to shovel as soon as DH comes home from work.

Activity LOL at Sid doing a 'skydive' routine!! It really is comical to watch the beginnings of movement in these children. They all have their own style and flare!!

sick Everyone seems to be back to normal here today... thank goodness. The laundry has all been washed, and I am feverishly trying to fold and put it all away. More likely than not, people will just begin to help themselves to what they need .

adult conversation I so agree that the lack of it makes me flat. You know its bad when that little tune that is going through your head... the one you cant quite place... turnes out to be Caillou or Max and Ruby, or something along those lines. Not only that, but sometimes I catch myself talking the ear off the poor person who just called to say hello, or to ask a simple question. I pounce on them like they are a lifeline of sorts!! LOL.

Patchy great news about the insurance claim! Sounds like you had a wonderful time away as well.

This weekend I am organizing a dinner for my Dads' 60th Birthday. Its a surprise (or he would be stubborn and not go), so a bit more time consuming. Have made a reservation at a Chinese Buffet, since I am not up to having 30 relatives in my house! I made all the plans, did all the inviting, am arranging for a cake and balloons... the lot. My sister, who has done nothing, but will without doubt, take credit in the party as well! She called me to see what 'we' are getting him as a gift! I just bought him a CD since I am the one arranging this party (although everyone must pay for themselves except the birthday boy and his girlfriend). She just said 'oh!' and went on to say that she guesses she will just go buy him some clothing! Grrr... Love her, but she drives me crazy!

Thats it for now... been trying to post all day, but the monsters DCs have been requiring my referee services! Looks like they are at it again. I think the noise level in this house is going to cause me to go deaf eventually! LOL

babyblue4 · 23/02/2010 03:41

Almost forgot... I added some pics to my profile page... have a look

Patchybob · 23/02/2010 10:20

Baby now that is what I call snow!! Not like the little flutterings we get here!! What fun you must have all had!

May not get on here to post for a few days as we are changing internet providers, so will catch up soon xxx

JetLi · 23/02/2010 13:17

Hi Ladies
Hope all are well.
Not much happening here although I suspect a lttle bum-shuffling from Hetty. I can put her down in one place and then a little while later notice she's about a foot away from where she was initially plus she can turn around 360 degrees on her bum. Scary really since my house is in no way baby proof!!

Sickness - well it sounds like everyone out there is on the mend from the D&V! Hope you're all feeling better. I had DP fix our long-busted tumble dryer since you all got sick. I remembered last time Hetty had the vomming, we struggled turning bedding around quickly.

Patchy - yay about the insurance!!! Nice to hear they've come through for you

Snow - more forcast this afternoon. This winter seems to be never-ending. However after seeing Baby's pictures I shall wind my neck in.

20th Wedding Anniversary - invited to a family party & I don't fancy it at all, but feel obliged. 20th anniversary is China, but they don't collect it. I wondered about doing some sort of China/Chinese cookery book/herbs/kit etc. Can anyone help? I'm a bit stuck TBH, not helped by the fact I can't be arsed to go

TTC - one month in & I'm sick of shagging baby-making already I'd rather sleep TBH and I'd forgotten about the wet patch - bleurghhhhh!!!

Activity - we did the October France trip by car and it was OK. I sat in the back with her and entertained her between sleeps. Patchy's advice about an endless stream of toys worked for us, along with lots of dummy, singing and regular stops. The worst bit was the drive to the ferry since we were restricted time-wise. Beyond that it was fine for us. She does loathe the carseat though.

Glad the anxiety has passed MissP

Hope your DH is OK Ali

Hope you're back up & cooking on Tinterweb soon Patchy

lydiathetattooedlady · 23/02/2010 19:21

Helllooooooo ladies, hope you're all well! Shop is now up and running and doing surprisongly well since we're only on day 4! have started a group and put photos on facebook for those who want to see!

Im absolutley shattered, even on sunday (my supposed day off!) i was busy doing shop stuff, im on day 9 of being back at work and actually enjoying it!

snow totally fed up with it, have had a fair bit here too. Even dd is sick of it now!

jetli...erm...chinese takeaway voucher??!! its all i could think of! Bill is also bum-shuffling quite funny!

patchy great news about insurance, i hope it doesnt take too long for it all to be sorted!

ali sorry to hear about your dps redundancy i know what a worrier it is. we're STILL waiting to hear about dps relocation to manchester. its not looking to good though as he's now been called up for the training in m,iddle of march so looks like his secondment will finish and he'll be up there. its crap because his company will only give him about 2 weeks notice if we're lucky that he has to go up there!

pnd i was naughty and cancelled my appointment, i know im stupid but im worried if i tell my gp how i feel and how angry i feel all the time, that he will contact social services. i know its stupid but im so worried they'll think im a bad mum for feeling so pooh!

travelling the only long distance we've done is from here to wales, can take up to 4 hours if bad traffic, we tend to put dd in front with dp and i stay in back, however the inlaws brought the kiddies in car dvd players which even Bill enjoys!

alibobble · 24/02/2010 08:18

lydia please make another appt. when you feel that bad it's better to tell someone and get help. better than bottling it up and exploding/imploding at some point. that might have worse consequences. and i speak as a bottling up type person. i find that even tho AF not returned i'm up and down with just that so to add pnd to the mix must be hell on toast. best to get someone to help.

jetli wagamamas do vouchers. i know it's aisian and not chinese but the food is brilliant. v fast service and great for me as easy allergy menu. my sister bought us a voucher for christmas. very thoughtful pressy.

spoon refusal rebecca has gone on mush hunger strike now she's realised she can feed herself. beth did this but had 6/8 teeth by now but rebecca only has 2 so the finger food is a bit tricky. filled the fridge with fruit and cucumber, breadsticks etc. made salmon fishcakes last night which she lved but is really tedious! Must get on and make some mini quiches. Who has the time but can't be bothered fighting her. Just as I'd filled the freezer with nice wizzed fish pie etc.Sorry about typing. got 2 clean fingers rebecca eating plum and toast for breakfast. have discovered this morning that if it's out of my bowl it might just get passed the clamped jaws. might make use of that.

Gotta go, beth due at nursery at 9 and I am still in PJs. oops!

OP posts:
babyblue4 · 24/02/2010 19:32

So now DS1 is home with the stomach bug as well I am still keeping my fingers crossed that Marco will not get it. I have a full weekend of social events and I cannot imagine doing it with a sick baby (or being sick myself). Not to mention that DH is going for his snip on Friday, so I am sure he will be playing the 'wounded soldier' card all weekend

My week of crash dieting seems to be working nicely... have lost 3lbs already... so now I have just under a stone to go (not that I am hoping that will come off in a week). I am doing this the proper way... healthy portions and exercise... just needed to jump start the metabolism this week. My sis worked in a health club for years, so she has made my plan for me.

movement Marco is now starting to crawl the proper way. It takes him longer to co-ordinate the movement, so when he gets fed up, he reverts back to the army crawl Have needed to give my family room a babyproofing in a hurry!

Ali I dont envy you going through the spoon refusal. I haven't given Marco any finger foods aside from the odd piece of bread. He seems to be very fixated on texture (just like DD1 was). He gags at the slightest lump. Will need to work on that, since I plan on stocking my freezer with some homemade food in the next few weeks. The store-bought food is just too over-priced.

Jetli I like the chinese voucher idea as well We have gotten some of them for various restaurants and its such a treat to go out. It gives you a reason to go out in fact! Maybe throw them in a basket with some champagne, sented candles, and chocolates or bubble bath and make a romance package for them . I have done that for my Dad and his girlfriend for Christmas, and it has gone over very well.

TTC PMSL at being tired after one month Who said shagging wasn't work!!

PND How is everyone doing? Hopefully once the weather starts to get brighter, everyone will feel better as well. These dark days make me want to sleep and I dont even have PND.

Well off to get some work done while everyone is quiet. Am gathering up all my maternity clothes to take to the consignment shop this weekend. Took a load a few months ago, so this is the last of it. I usualy just donate outgrown/unused clothing, but I spent so much money on maternity clothes, it seems a shame just to give them away. Besides, I need to finance my shopping spree for my new wardrobe once the weight comes off

Patchybob · 24/02/2010 20:51

Jetli how about finding an easy recipe and then buying all of the ingredients (try and find one that doesn't have too many to keep the cost down) I did that for a friends birthday, printed off the recipe and put it all in a box. He loved it. All he had to buy was the meat.

My eating through the freezer isn't going too well now as we are down to the really crappy bits and pieces. That said, a friend came for tea last night with her 3 kids, so I did a roast chicken and today I made Max 6 little meals (have given up with ice cubes now as he is a hoover, so freeze in small ramekins), chicken stock and some mini chicken pies for the kids and me to eat for tea tonight. Felt like a domestic goddess!!
Will have to try harder with the freezer!

Lydia, hope you are ok. YOur shop looks fab, you should be very proud of yourself. I saw on facebook that you will knit things for people who can't knit? I saw at christmas some little knitted nativity figures, the size of small dolls and thought they were just gorgeous...do you think that you would be able to do that for me? I am sure they must come from a pattern. Let me know what you think and if so roughly how much they would cost......obviously no hurry, just somwtime in the next 9 months!! Please don't feel obliged though, just tell me if its not something you can do xx

Jetli lol at the wet patch!! Blimey I really take my hat off to you for even thinking about it!!!

Baby hope you are all ok and that you don't get the sickness. Poor dh and the snip! Hope he is ok and not too sore poor love!!

QueenFee · 24/02/2010 21:21

hi all waves

Been away at my mums last week so feeling very out of touch. Have only skim read the masses of chatting since I was last here so forgive me if I missed anything!
patchy great aboutthe conservatory
jetli i know exactly what you mean. It's the last thing I feel like in an evening but DH is all enthusiastic! Put it this way at least you have a bed... Alfie is still in our room so it's out of bounds for SWI ! Now thats work
baby sorry your suffering with sick bugs and washing. Both I believe get more widespread the more kids you have!
DH had a second interview today and he said it went quite well. I know it's wrong but a part of me doesn't want him to be offered it becayse it means us relocating and also he would be away in London 3 days a week. I agreed we would consider relocation but now it feels like it is a possibility I just want to cry. All the people I call for that adult time are here apart from my mom how would I cope. Sorry to go on.
Alfie has also got me baffled he keeps waking frequently at nightwith wind which he has never suffered with and will not go back off till he has burped it all up. I have stopped giving him a sippy cup as that seemed to be contributing to it but any suggestions gladly received!
Can you believe I have just typed all that on my phone! Oh the wonders of smartphones!

Misspaella · 24/02/2010 21:29

Evening
Jetli what is the wet patch again? As a couple NOT TTC we are using the ole condoms like youngsters. I am excited for you!!

Baby your photos are fab. That is "real" snow. Not the slush we get in London. Hope the D&V bug doesn't hit your household too hard.

Lydia so happy that your shop is up and running well. Have you got a website? I know you have a lot on, but 2nd Ali's advice to reschedule the Dr's appt. TBH those who say parenting is easy and never get angry/sad/fed up or the ones to watch out for IMO. The GP will think your are a normal parent. Virtual hug.

Patchy Ali and anyone lurking, hi.

Christiana my gym is doing taster Zumba classes!! I hope it gets put on the timetable.

I'm feeling so much better that a few people have commented that I seem happier/more content. I am still wary to say that the dull feeling is totally gone but fingers x'd it has passed. I have decided that if I do return to a slump I will chat to my GP. I really was close to complete meltdown a few weeks ago and couldn't get out of it. I don't want to repeat that experience.

Anyhow hope everyone is well.

ladylush · 25/02/2010 17:41

Hi all
Lydia hope you are able to get some support soon. Does your area have a peri-natal team? They offer MH support to mums-to-be and postnatally up to a year. It's not just women with a MH diagnosis - but women just like you who could use a bit of support.
Hope Christiana, Jetli and MissP are feeling better. I'm okish. My bf had a baby girl yesterday. Delighted for her as she has two boys so perfect outcome for her. But tbh (and can only say this on here)I am feeling a bit sad and envious that she has a normal weight baby girl whereas mine was severely prem and still low weight. I am just struggling with this in general. Been feeling quite tearful over the past week or so as she is not gaining weight as fast as I would like. Hope I don't sound horrible. I would never wish ill of my bf - and would be totally devastated if her dd was anything but perfect..........but it's just the way I feel. I can't help it
Lydia hope the shop is going well. Like MissP was also wondering if you have a website - ?
Patchy - glad your ds christening went well
Alibobble sorry to hear of your dh redundancy Hope something comes up soon

babyblue4 · 25/02/2010 17:55

MissP So glad you are feeling better!

wet patch ????? Wont be experiencing that for a few months! Not sure how long it takes for the sperm count to go down after the snip... but we will be very careful.... especially with our track record and all!! One failed sterilization is all I can handle!

sick DS1 seems to be happy and back to normal today. I would say he got it the mildest so far. He stayed in bed for the day and went back to school today.

sleep It has gotten to the point where I am sooo tired, that I am not even sure what time Marco got up to feed. I dont even hear DH get up to give him a bottle anymore. The next thing I notice, is DH putting him in bed with us for his morning BF at around 5am. And even then, I plug him in and continue on with my dreaming! LOL. DD1 came to get him this morning and I didnt even notice! I cant believe he is going to be 7 months old in a matter of days, and he is not even close to sleeping even halfway through the night!

QF Hope things go as you would like them to in regards to DHs job situation. I would find it really hard to relocate. Your adult friends are your support system. But I guess you have to balance that with your familys' well being. Tough decision.

freezer Patchy, you seem to be doing a great job creating meals from things found in the depths of your freezer Everything sounds wonderful.

movement Marco is surprising me daily now! He crawled the width of our house yesterday on his hands and knees. Then, when he got to the sofa that DD2 and I were sitting on, he pulled himself up to his knees! I am now going to have to drop the mattress down on his cot so that he doesnt tumble out of it! He is going to be running around here in no time! My baby is growing too fast!

TTC? Ha! Am I the only person who's not had sex since their baby was born?

snip dh went to see about getting it done but seems to have chickened out so I agreed that I'd get my tubes tied. Must do something about that though it hasn't been high up on my list of priorities what with the above situation!

lady don't feel bad about having mixed emotions over bf's baby. it's bound to stir up emotions for you. Plus as long as LO is healthy weight gain is at their own pace. Have a friend at church who's LO is 18mths old and Rebecca weighs more than her! She's perfectly healthy, just miniature.

QF having relocated for DH's last job when Beth was 8 weeks old I can understand your frustrations at the thought of moving. It is very hard to move to a new location and lose your support network. Hope he can find something that suits everyone.

Rather enjoying having DH around at the moment. Get ot have tea together every day and he gets chance to revise for his upcoming exam in may. Hoping he'll get something in the next few months but enjoying him being relatively stress free after last job even if looking for a new job has stresses of it's own.
