A homage to the Nightmare Before Christmas song. DH obsessed with that film, we all (DD included) have to watch it on Christmas Eve.

Thanks for all your support and hugs. Its good to be able to come on here when you don't much feel like talking about things in RL. For once I hope the weekend passes quickly....
...to change the subject to something slightly more cheerful for the weekend... Christmas pressies....J is getting some very sweet hungry catterpillar stacking blocks and an here got them dead cheap off ebay and also Elmer magic lantern and that's about it as I think he'll be just as happy eating paper and chewing on boxes. I have got this fold away kitchen for DD and also this music box Elmer is popular in our house at the moment. They will get spoilt rotten by thier gps, aunts and uncles so we are keeping it small. (Plus my house is already an unholy shrine to the god of clutter so minimal is the way forward)

Carseats... so whats with the rear facing ones? DS will need a bigger one extremely soon (next pay day infact!) so what should I be going for? I have about 100-150 quid budget. DD has a britax one which seems to be pretty good, but any suggestions would be welcome.

hackneyzoo · 06/11/2009 21:52

ooops, posted twice....sign of sleep deprivation...off to bed, night all.

chefswife · 07/11/2009 04:53

Just got back from school fireworks display. I am sooo scared of fireworks (I used to faint at firework displays as a child ) but have got a bit braver through hiding my fear from the boys over the past couple of years.

Dd loved it, not phased at all by the bangs and screeches etc (although she was wearing ds1's old ear defenders, which made her look like a cute little chubby cheeked hamster ). Ds2 however, hated the bangs and hid between me and dh whilst pulling our hands over his ear defenders to squash them onto his ears more tightly.

Lenni, completely missed that you have had food poisoning. Hope you are feeling better now.

Books, thanks for your comments re ds1. We are so pleased for him and at the same time relieved that something seems to be going right for a change.

Treeeeeee? Where are you missus? Am missing you! Who else will listen to me going on about my dc's bowels?

120cms · 07/11/2009 21:46

evening all! just came on to check on HKZ, poor little J .

I'm afraid we're going through mega sleep deprivation at the moment with H waking every hour or two for the last couple of months, and DD up at 5.30 so no evening or morning time to m'net. Just wanted to gratuitously fit in one of these too.

xx to you all, and hopefully will have enough energy to post properly soon and actually read the thread.

{hugs}{hugs}{hugs} to you HKZ it sounds like a nightmare. Glad that you can distract a bit with pressies. Do text if you want to meet for a coffee or summat.

DD is big into playmobil at the moment, so am ebaying that for her and some of the desciptions are hilarious, with parents spending ages creating amazing scenes!

treedeLivingDeadery · 07/11/2009 22:42

I'm having a rl invasion - and am away tomorrow all day too [huge journey south for a baby shower, be lovely to see old chums with bumps] but read your post HKZ, just wanted to offer support.

Will be back monday for a proper chinwag. Apologies fro being awol for days on end!!

elkiedee · 08/11/2009 00:18

Eeek at HKZ, and poor little J.

Hi to 120 - I know one of your RL friends - we're both involved in plans to set up a new NCT branch in this area.

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 08/11/2009 09:30

MsSparkle · 08/11/2009 10:34

Morning all,

Just been reading through the thread, so much to try and catch up on! HKZ it sounds like you have had an awful time I hope today goes quickly for you, i can't imagine how worried you must feel. I hope everything turns out good

Sounds like people have enjoyed firework displays. We went to some last night with dd(3) and Finley. Finley lay there all snug and warm in the pushchair watching the fireworks dd loves them and it looks like Finley likes them too!

I had him weighed last week and he weighs 22lb 8oz! He is a tall little boy though, people are suprised when i say he is only 9 months old!

I hope to stick around more, it's hard to catch up when you go away for awhile!

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 08/11/2009 18:56

Good luck for tomorrow HKZ

120cmsOfSnow · 08/11/2009 20:24

yes, good luck HKZ

Lenni, thought I'd join you in the yuletide cheer.

PatTheHammer · 08/11/2009 21:58

Sorry to hear about the other day HKZ, sounds so awful for you and little J, hope everything well tomorrow.

Sorry, largely absent here as RL being very busy at the moment. Just had a fab weekend in Manchester for a friend's wedding and a lovely cuddle with one of my bestest friend's new baby girl. Shame DD was an absolute Heathen and DS decided he can nearly run now, so keeps escaping, very inconvenient at a wedding!!!!!

Just popping in to say that some of the (very poor) photos I got of the last meet-up ( well N, Z and D together.....sadly the DD's were off doing other things and the peachlets were still eating) are now on fb profile. I am such a bad photogrpher it is laughable but at least they are all in shot (and sorry Lenni, got you in one too!).

Back soon.........thats a promise

PatTheHammer · 08/11/2009 22:05

Oh, and one on my MN profile especially for moose and anyone without fb. right, now some sleep would be nice [completely hanging emoticon]

missjackson · 08/11/2009 22:09

Too busy a weekend.... OH's birthday involving venison for 17 people ... but just popped on to bookmark and say good luck tomorrow hkz, hope you get some answers x off to look at fb now.
