Oh go on then.

I'm rubbish at titles though but I bow down to Oli's cakes and supermum.

I can do later in April too, a Tuesday is fine, someone pick a date and I'll book ds1 and dd into after school club. Oooh, I think the excitement might be a bit too much .

We're off to Islay in Scotland in 3 weeks. We've hired a cottage with its own beach so the dcs can run completely wild for a week! If anyone can get hold of some black market drugs that will render me completely unconscious for the 8+ hour drive a ferry trip I'd be most grateful.......

AQ, let us know how you get on at Centreparcs. I mentioned it to DH but he thinks ds2 is still too young.

Lenni, how's ds's cough? Any joy from the docs this time?

Hi Solo!

accessorizequeen · 09/03/2010 21:16

@castles!
replied to you daily (darn)
oli, we've driven to Black Isle several times with the dc's, it's a lot lot better overnight or the last time we got up at 2am and had half the journey under our belt before they woke up for breakfast. It was quite an adventure, kids thought so and were v.well behaved so maybe not as bad as you think? Own beach, wow!
Indith, Lenni, Oli - seems only 2 tuesdays will suit, the 20th or 27th April, am I right? I'd vaguely prefer the 27th but either fine with me really. Ooooh, oooh, we could go to one of the farms Cruckley or Honeysuckle! Need to triangulate Hull with Oli & Lenni's locations What about we take photos and all the southerners get together and take photos & we'll paste one in of Jabber for a group shot?
I'm perky btw because got a sick note for another week off work Would quite like the panic attacks to subside before I return & started physio exercises which are fairly hard going.

solo · 09/03/2010 22:27

Hello Olihan!

TheDailyWail, yes, now I know who you are! how is Mr Hobbs these days?

TheDailyWail · 09/03/2010 23:20

Solo - I don't get to see him much as I work elsewhere, although I was talking to one of my old badminton buddies (that's where I met him initially) about him. He's still unlucky in love so you only have to say the word...

solo · 10/03/2010 00:12

you never know! I'm still single...

Indith · 10/03/2010 07:41

It has to be after the 24th or in May so if we are going for April would have to be 27th. Shall have to confirm with dh and the parentals.

We have to drive to Gatwick soon . On the way home the flight lands at 10pm so we are just going to drive home overnight. I am so not looking forward to the next day!

Love that this thread is now a matchmaking service...
indith, can't do first week in may as we're on holiday so hope the 27th will work out

castlesintheair · 10/03/2010 09:02

Oli, we left at 4am when we drove up to West Highlands last Aug and we are much further south. 'Twas fine . The ferry is great for DCs. Am very of all these holidays.

AQ, a match-making and meet-up service

castlesintheair · 10/03/2010 09:04

AQ, meant to ask: what are you doing about the panic attacks/anxiety? Mine are very bad at the moment. It is so debilitating that it is quite a relief that I am at home with 3 sickly DCs and don't have to leave the house.

accessorizequeen · 10/03/2010 09:17

Didn't realise they were back in force castles . I spent an hour in town monday and that was enough for full blown panic. I think it's because I ran out of ad's and stopped for several days, having the shakes as well. I'm back on them and trying to breathe/om chant to calm down, hoping it's not a permanent thing. Are you having cbt?
Best go tend to the kids, left them in living room with magnetic alphabet and oven trays!

castlesintheair · 10/03/2010 09:23

Thanks AQ. We sound very similar. Sorry you are suffering too. Need to see GP I think but putting it off as don't want to go back on ADs. Am avoiding all my RL friends who probably think I'm really weird. Or rude.

Olihan · 10/03/2010 09:56

I'm okay for any time in May if that's easier. Don't mind whereabouts we go, I'll farm out the older 2 so I'm not tied to getting back for school pick up. Is everyone bringing their Dec06er?

AQ, we've done the journey before so I know it isn't that bad - it's the thought more than anything . We're stopping overnight in Glasgow and again with some friends for a cup of tea half way to the ferry so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm going to stock up on new DVDs before we go though!

Indith, Durham to Gatwick? That's a journey and a half . At least at 10pm they'll sleep all the way back.

LOL @ DW's matchmaking - who needs match.com when you've got MN?

Solo, how are things with dd's dad? I recall it all being a bit horrible for you a while ago. You okay?

DS2 has a new best friend. She's called Lucy the Rabbit and we are not allowed to call her just Lucy. She wears a pink dress and she punches the big bad wolf on the nose . She lives in a teeny weeny house and she's got green windows.

EVye · 10/03/2010 14:17

hi all, busy here. dd1 better and back at school yay. dd2 insisting on watching hsm but i think it has just sent her to sleep

jabberwocky · 10/03/2010 15:19

Oh, yes photoshop me in the piccy, please!

So sorry about the panic attacks I'm the same if I miss a couple of days on ADs.

We did open house at the office last night. Not as big of a turnout as I had hoped but still OK.

solo, are things settled a bit more for you now? Dh has post-polio syndrome and iirc it has similar symptoms to ME so much sympathy on that front.

I hadn't heard about WB. Does that make 2 or 3 dcs for her? A friend joked about a 3rd for us the other day and all I could do was shudder.

weirdbird · 11/03/2010 19:53

Hello all,

That makes 3 for me now! I thought I would find me antenatal class for this, haven't been on MN for a few years now, and got all nostalgic for you guys, and here you are discussing me being up the duff with number 3, g

I will have them spread over 8.5 years though!

So can anyone give me a brief summary of news?

My highlights are most of my self employed contracts have gone, companies taking all there work in house, so stretching the pennies has taken on new meaning.
I am a trader for Organised Mum so have been putting in lots more hours to build that up a bit more, still trying to renovate our house, but when most of my work went over a year ago now, so did all the money to do anything!

Hubby is still a star
Hannah has started pre-school, has finally potty trained and is now dry at night as well.
Megan is now 8 going on 13
I am now 13 weeks +4 and scoffing my face with ice cream and have re-discovered my addiction to Milo and tunnocks tea cakes.

And I am so pleased to find you all here

Olihan · 11/03/2010 20:07

My dsis has just found out she's had a missed miscarriage . She went for what should have been her 12 week scan and there was no heartbeat. I'm just so upset for her. It's taken her ages to conceive and now this. She doesn't deserve it .

Lenni · 11/03/2010 20:32

Oli - that is terrible terrible news, I feel for them, must be so hard. It happened to my Mum a few years ago and was devastating, she had a long wait for D&C too, hope your sister doesn't have to wait so long. Is she having fertility investigations?

Congratulations on no.3 WB. Sounds like you've been busy!

Lenni · 11/03/2010 20:33

24th fine for me btw, May good too, but away for a week - think it is 3rd week so would be better early May

EVye · 11/03/2010 20:59

Oh Oli, that is such sad news.

Weirdbird, it is lovely to see you back! I saw your pg news on fb.

weirdbird · 11/03/2010 22:59

Lots of people have name changed, is there a list anywhere?

solo · 12/03/2010 00:20

Oli , was it her first pg? I had a MMC with my first after 12 years of not falling pg...it seemed to kickstart my fertility though, so fingers crossed for your Dsis.

jabberwocky · 12/03/2010 01:44

So good to have you back wb! We still have the FB group although it's not terribly active but we try to update namechanges there.

oli, so sorry about your dsis Like solo, the wives of two of my nephews went through this and both were able to conceive again in 6 - 12 months. I know that's not much consolation but I hope she is able to as well.

castlesintheair · 12/03/2010 07:57

Hello WB and welcome back! Congratulations on your news

Sorry to hear your news Oli. It's happened to me 4 times if it's any consolation to your sister.

accessorizequeen · 12/03/2010 09:45

Welcome back WB, wow you and Solo in one week
Can't believe I'd forgotten milo & tea cakes. Got pg again and didn't have any!

Um, can't remember enough to do an update, several of us have moved house (jabber, elibean, indith bought one yay), indith, lenni & I have all had more babies (they were sensible and stuck to one, I had twins), quite a few on AD's probably as result of aforementioned house moves & babies! Someone else can do the rest!

Oli

Indith · 12/03/2010 14:08

Hello WB! Lovely to see you

Oli

Good summary AQ, not really sure anything else has happened! We just keep rambling on about nonsense mostly

Just got home from bf group, ds and I looked like drowned rats but dd is fast asleep in the buggy, yay!

Being invaded this weekend for a uni reunion with the first arrivals due about 4pm. I really do need to make a vague attempt at some cleaning before then....hum.

Ds still having poo issues. He went through 10 nappies yesterday afternoon because he was trying to stop himself from doing a poo but bits kept coming out. Not painful, not too hard, not overflow so isn't backed up he jsut doesn't want to do it although when I finally forced him on the potty while he was trying to stop himself from pushing and it all came out he was really happy and telling me how his tummy wasn't hurting anymore.

Been trying to sort dd out (again). Past 4 nights I've only fed her twice. She has still woken up loads and often takes an hour to settle but I've only fed twice! Couple more days and I'll reduce to 1 then 0 then hope that the wakings will follow
